Stayed for our training in town. The hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly. The free breakfast in the morning is clutch. They also have hosted snack/food in the evening hours too. They seem to be going through a remodel.

I evacuated here for Hurricane Isaac from New Orleans metro area. I loved this hotel, they made my stay very comfortable and everyone there was so nice. Our room had a mini kitchen and all the tools you need to cook. 3rd or 4th night there i was craving some of my Meatballs & Spaghetti, so i went to target got all the raw ingredients and made everything from scratch. I can’t believe i cooked all that in my hotel room. We had to bring my 12 year old boxer with Bladder issues and my Cat. The side door was close to my room so it was easy to walk my dog, and yes i picked up her poop. There was a few times i found other peoples dogs crap, but nothing too bad. We had a great breakfast there every morning. Food was just as good as going to any breakfast chain. Coffee was even good and i like the good stuff in New Orleans. They even had Dinner certain nights, that helped out since we had to watch our spending while evacuating. Only thing i didn’t like was the bench out front. It was ready to break. If i ever plan on going back to that area or evacuating this is going to be my first choice.

The Residence Inns are always a good choice whether you want one night, or a couple weeks. Full kitchens, pool, exercise room, free breakfast every morning and dinners on some nights. The only thing holding this location back from 5 stars is only having an outdoor pool. I prefer indoor to accommodate all weather conditions.

I’ve stayed at plenty of Marriott hotels. This one rates low on my scale of Marriott standards. I was in Huntsville for a week of work. Breakfast: Complimentary for guests. A very nice selection of breakfast foods — scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, potatoes, oatmeal, fruit, cereal. I can’t remember seeing any grits but I only ate a full breakfast once during my stay. I opted for the comforts of my room, which was equipped with a kitchen. Target super store is located just down the street about ¼ mile. 5 out of 5 stars Henry and LaTondra — 5 out of 5 stars for being so very cheerful at the front desk. Sue at the front desk – 2 out of 5 stars for the following reason: I had to do laundry one evening. So I brought my laundry downstairs to get directions of where the laundry was located and laundry soap. I can see Sue talking to someone. She did see me at the counter. I waited. She still chatted to someone behind the wall. I waited. I think I waited a good 4 minutes before she came to the front desk. She didn’t greet me or say anything. I asked if she can tell me where the laundry is located. She replied, «2nd floor.» I asked her for laundry soap. She handed it to me. So I thanked her and left. I got to the guest laundry and swiped my key to gain entry. I loaded the machine with laundry and soap. I didn’t know that the machines took money, because most all of the places I’ve stayed at has a FREE guests laundry. But could Sue have asked, «Do you have enough quarters for the washer and dryer?» while I was at the front desk? The elevators are located near the front desk. The stairs are located all the way towards the ends of both hallways. The elevator has been making funny noises and the inspection certificate is expired almost a month.(2 of 5 stars) I had to go upstairs to the room, grab my wallet, come back to the front desk where Miss Sue was again talking to someone behind the wall. I waited another 4 minutes or so. I ask for $ 5 in change for the washer and dryer. For some reason, I think I was disturbing Miss Sue for interrupting her social time. I go back upstairs to the laundry to feed it 4 quarters. Food on Tues, Wed & Thurs evenings – 2 out of 5 stars for the following reason: Tues was chicken sandwich night. Frozen breaded chicken patties with hamburger buns. Wed was something listed as chicken alfredo with garlic toast. It was a white creamy mess with chopped green peppers, broccoli and corn served with stale garlic bread. Thurs was chili. Um… not! This menu is on the refridgerator of the room. It says, «Come and Join us!» I would have, had it been better. Isn’t this the MARRIOTT??? I would have expected better from JW. The room was comfortable. I had adequate table space to do work and I enjoyed the fireplace on the rainy nights. 5 out of 5 stars. Might not stay here the next time I have to come to Huntsville for work.

We were very happy with this Residence Inn. It was clean, the staff was helpful, the location(in Huntsville) was very convenient. We will definitely stay here again.
