I REALLYREALLY want to give this place 5 stars… really! I’ve been to 3 weddings there, and know many people who’ve had wonderful experiences there. BUT… at a wedding this past weekend– it was rainy, and 58 degrees. They KNEW the forecast days before. The wedding was held in the pavilion. There were 3 heaters in there. In my opinion– they should have been turned on at 2PM(for a 4pm wedding) to 1) heat up the place and 2) test them. At 4 pm– it was discovered they were out of propane. NONE– ZERO– ZILCH! 130 guests ate dinner in their winter coats– or whatever they could dig out of there cars! The food was delicious, the rustic atmosphere beautiful, the grounds immaculately kept, the staff/service 5+ stars. BUT. I couldn’t wait to leave. 36 hours later, I have just warmed up. Should you book a party there(and you should!) be sure there is heat. or bring your own propane tanks! And honestly– those things are $ 150…they should buy 5 more! Having 130 guests eating, dancing in their coats is UNACCEPTABLE! Oh… And the bathrooms by the pavilion… The ladies room had no hot water. It’s not that the water didn’t get hot– the water on the«hot side» was completely shut off! Again– not acceptable!

Évaluation du lieu : 5 Hicksville, NY
HAD A HITCHFREEWEDDING!!! I married wife here on August 1st, 2015 and I am still getting calls, emails, texts, facebook messages that it was the most beautiful, unique wedding that was ever attended. I really don’t have enough good things to say about the place and the staff. First, we had access to the entire grounds for July 30, 31 and Aug 1st. This included about 12 cabins, an outside that was about 3 football fields large, a huuuge bonfire, a large inground pool, hiking trails, a beautiful lake. It was basically luxury camping, with a wedding thrown in the mix! If you are looking for an outside, rustic wedding… don’t even bother looking elsewhere. It took us a year to decide, and we looked at a dozen other places. These places would make us bring our own caterer. Some places made us buy a tent, and rent a bathroom? This place is all out, outside wedding. Its all included. I can’t say enough, and feel free if you have any questions to message me. Steve is the owner, we met him first night but he had a wedding in NYC to go to. He was so cool, he basically said have free reign of the place, just make sure everyone has a great time. Gail is the person who runs the ship, she couldnt be nicer and she basically saved my wife from having a nervous breakdown before the wedding(no thanks to the vendor who provided the photog and DJ, but thats for another review) Gail also runs the place really well and the place was set up absolutely beautiful with flowers and decorations. We picked out a signature drink ‘Green Tea Mojito’ she helped make the drink and perfected it, everyone loved it. And it was a very refreshing summer drink. Barbara was basically the woman who set everything up. Outdoor Wedding’s seem to be arts and crafts festivals and we just gave her all our stuff and she set it up perfectly. Everyone who works there seemed really happy to be there and having fun. Everyone I invited had never been to a place like this and all had a great time. I know I am forgeting things I should mention. but the gist of my post is that if you are looking for an outdoor wedding in NY. This is the place. The pricing is reasonable and they will treat you and your guests like royalty.
