Excellent spot for breakfast. Pancakes were the size of the plate and delicious. Coffee was fresh and frequently refilled. Couldn’t ask for a better place for breakfast!

The breakfast was so delicious. Sausage gravy was one of the best we have had dining out. Friendly waitress too! We will definitely be back!

It has an old school feel to it which I really liked. The perch was great. I wish I would have gone Friday night for all-you-can-eat. My son enjoyed his grilled cheese and got to feed Lemmy, the monster in the basement. A great little family owned diner, which I love to support.

«2 for 1 Special: Crappy Diner &1960s Civil Rights Museum» So, the city boy all the way from Washington, DC happens to walk in this country, good ol’ boy establishment. I used Unilocal to find a place and it had a 4 star rating — thanks Unilocal(sarcasm). The place has a crappy name, logo, and a limited menu. Something that never happens, happened. Both me and the person whom I arrived with got an uneasy feeling before we went in. Anyone who knows me knows that I love trying new eateries, even dives, but there was a Burger King across the street that was looking really good, and Burger King had never looked that appealing to me. So, we enter and a guy gives us menus and took our drink orders. About 30 seconds after we are given the menues, the waitress comes over, doesn’t greet us or anything, looks at her notepad and somewhat abbrasively says, «What are you having?» I was like, «umm… can you give us a minute to look at the menu.» That was enough to recognize that we were not welcomed at this establishment. We started to leave, but just said«whatever» and stayed. Including this, I have 90 reviews, and I can’t recall playing the race card once. Therefore, I would not be randomly throwing out accusations that weren’t warranted. It was bizzare that my friend wasn’t able to switch out fries for a baked potato in her order, even though my order was able to switch out fries for a baked potato??? I got the steak, with fries, and cottage cheese. I guess cottage cheese is a «thing» there because the waitress seemed REALLY disappointed that I didn’t eat most of my cottage cheese… which in turn made me really thankful that I didn’t eat it. Who knows what was up with that cottage cheese? It makes you really uncomfortable eating in a restaurant where you know you aren’t wanted because you wonder what they are capable of doing to your food. I literally took about 3 bites into my steak and she came with the check. Didn’t ask if I wanted desert, didn’t fill up drinks. Another older white lady was mean mugging me and when she noticed me noticing her, she tried to play it off and come over and get the plates off our table. For what it’s worth, the steak was below average with no flavor and needed steak sauce. The cottage cheese(I had one or two bites) had no flavor. In closing, if you like your meal with a side order of racism, then Lemmy’s is your spot. Race relations aren’t my focal point because I am in a bigger battle against Satan. It just seems stupid to me because it takes SOOOO much more energy to be mean than to be nice, or even neutral. It’s unfortunate because God tells people to touch not His annointed and they disrespected TWO annointed people at once. Woe to them. I went on ahead and tipped her as usual because she looked like she needed the money. She tried to be a littel nicer toward the end, but the true colors had already been shown. Steer clear of this place.

Great place to eat, we stop by whenever we’re in the area. They’re also very good for the kids.

This place was just okay. I had meatloaf with enchilada sauce – sounded weird and didn’t taste that much better. I got it with a baked potato and it wasn’t cooked all the way through. They also do not serve beer or wine, just sodas and tea. The meals were relatively inexpensive, but they nail you on the beverages – $ 2.59 each! Friends had the perch sandwich and said it was good, so maybe go with a fish dish instead!

This is a cute diner. The fellow patrons were very friendly and the restaurant is very well maintained on the inside and clean. We arrived early for lunch. The menu is a bit limited. For my daughter who is almost 3, I found the fact that I couldn’t substitute French fries for applesauce a bit frustrating and that it was only offered as an extra side for $ 2. The food arrived quickly. I had a Reuben and it was tasty. Our companion had a breakfast special and it looked very good and she enjoyed it. Some Of my fries were undercooked. The server was attentive but not very friendly. She was kind to let the kids in the restaurant participate in a cute ritual to feed the«sea monster» that lives in the basement. My daughter enjoyed this and the special sticker she received. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

This place is awesome! We needed a place to have breakfast before we headed to Cedar Point. We wanted to eat something good for a good price. Food in Cedar Point is just okay, usually junk good and very pricy for what it is. This place was on the way to Cedar Point for us. I read the reviews and seemed affordable so we decided to give a try. We were SOHAPPY! Breakfast was tasty, especially the grilled cheese sandwich, and their milk is to die for. I ordered a small glass of milk because I was unsure of the taste but I ended up going for a large after the small. Best milk I have tried in the East Coast so far! The only funny thing is that my boyfriend and I were the only young people there. It was full of older people. Not that it is a problem, it was just funny, because we thought the place, food, attention and price was amazing! We were so happy we found this place and we are certainly coming back here when we go back to Cedar Point!

2nd time here for breakfast. This was not a great experience. Ordered two eggs cooked hard, bacon, toast, and home fries after asking her what the ham was like. She couldn’t tell me whether it was thick or thin. Asked for decaf but none was made so she said she would have to make some. The eggs came out over easy with runny whites(yuck!). She never came back to check on us. Too busy I guess with other customers. Finally I caught her attention when we were almost totally finished with the breakfast and said to cancel the decaf. She said she had already put it on. I said we were ready to leave and I no longer wanted it. She wasn’t friendly to begin with and I don’t think I helped at the final moments. If I return it will be because they have good lake perch, but probably won’t be back for breakfast.

Lemmy’s is my go-to mom & pop diner whenever I go to visit Cedar Point or Port Clinton/Sandusky. The food is great and so is the value. Snobs just won’t get this place but that makes it even better. The place shows it’s age which is also part of it’s charm. You can always expect fantastic service here along with a good menu. It’s been around forever and I hope it never leaves!

Excellent stop on the drive from cleveland to Marblehead — quick access from rt 2. The menu is sure to satisfy your taste for either perch or walleye. The service was quick and friendly and the food was tasty. Recommend as a comfortable place with outstanding breakfast options.

Lemmy’s has become our go-to place for perch and walleye in the Sandusky area, now that DeMore’s has closed. We’re only back once a year but they do it up right. We’re on three years running and it’s been good every time. It’s simple, Good fish, good sandwiches, good service. Nice little place that feels like it’s always been here and it can’t be more convenient, located a block off of Route 2. Kids will love the whole«Lemmy the Lake Erie Sea Monster» tale too. Be sure to ask if he’s in the basement and maybe you’ll get to hear him!

We lunched here on Saturday. After staying away for many years, we decided to give it another try and were pleasantly surprised. The place was clean, staff was friendly, food was good, prices were decent. What a nice change from our last visit! We won’t hesitate to return.

All you can eat perch. Plate started with 4 whole perch, that’s 8 filets. Better than Sandusky fish co. But just short of the benchmark jolly roger.
