The salad bar is the best part of this restaurant. The pizza and soups did not look very fresh. I normally great bread was hard as a rock today. The service was good. She was very attentive

I admit to being a sweet tomatoes fan and when i forst moved here, there was no sweet tomatoes. So we checked this place out. The offerings here were… well, less appealing than i am willing to pay for. If it was supposed to be cold, it was hot and if it was supposed to be hot, it was overcooked. The bar eas not regularly cleaned and i would not go back. Stick with sweet tomaties. The one in fort worth is really good.(See review.)

Vegetarian chili is disappointing. Nice staff. Good variety. Need better variety of soups. Also, pizza bar needed fresh pizza. The workers are running like crazy trying to keep everything done.

Came here for lunch in a Friday, and it was practically empty. When we first walked in, there wasn’t anyone in the front so that we could pay so we had to stand there waiting for like 5 minutes before someone finally came. It seemed as if there was only one person working the front, bringing drinks, checking up on food, and cleaning tables. When it comes to the food, it was okay. Nothing great. They had different types of salad, and toppings and an assortment of dressings for you. They also had some breads, a couple of soup options and potatoes that you can stuff yourself. The one thing that turned me off was all of the flies that were swarming around and in the food laying out. I’ve heard that the Arlington location has a larger variety and is much cleaner than the hurst location. So would I try this restaurant again? Probably not this location.

The good: The staff were very friendly. The bad: The food bars were not very orderly nor clean — I had to brush away 2 flies so that should have been a warning that… The ugly: Less than two hours after I finished eating, I had to make a run for the pooper — definitely got food poisoning there.

Seems before this place wasn’t the greatest but they have always had great customer service. But it seems now there’s new management and it’s gotten much better. The food taste better and service even better. So as of now, good fresh food and great service.

It’s just gross and I really wish I hadn’t eaten here. The food didn’t seem to be very good quality or fresh and the restaurant is shabby. Also, I got a bite of something that tasted bad, I don’t know what is was or how to describe it. Ugh. The salad bar at Jason’s Deli is much, much better.

Unfortunately, I will never return to this restaurant. The whole selection of food looked like it was picked over, the salad bar had items that I suspected had sat in the same container for days, quite a few containers were empty, or had other bits of food in them, the salad dressing area hadn’t been wiped down and was messy, the bread area had a few chocolate muffins, a selection of cornbread and one flat pizza-like square looking very unappetizing and that was it! The soup section, potato section, and dessert section were not any better. I was very concerned that safe food handling practices were not implemented so I chose items very carefully fearing I might get food poisoning. The cashier, it seemed, was also responsible for wiping tables down, restocking the salad bar area, bringing ordered drinks to the patrons from the kitchen, and bussing the tables after. It wasn’t a surprise to me why there were few customers on a Friday evening! I am sorry that my review is so negative but I feel that I must speak up to warn future patrons and hopefully bring attention to the owner that immediate, necessary changes must be made to continue to stay in business. Seriously, the owner NEEDS to step it up! Provide FRESH food DAILY! Get more help. Practice safe food handling and stress the importance of following those procedures to employees. The result? A profitable business to be proud of.

It’s a good salad bar and that is it. They have some pretty good soups as well. When I’m looking for something light and healthy, this place is most likely the answer. They used to have one in Southlake, closer, but it closed. It’s cheap too, so can’t complain. Don’t expect fine dining. The only downside is that you have to wait sometimes at the cash register since no ones there.

I have no idea why I chose to go to Souper Salad. When I’m in this area, I always go to Ms. Saigon which is about 3 doors down, but for some reason I wanted salad and chose to come here. I’ll start off by saying that the staff was nice. That being said, my experience could have been better. The salad bar was out of croutons, out of light ranch, and low on lettuce. I adjusted and made alternate choices. My salad turned out to be… a salad. Nothing exciting, nothing out of the ordinary. Just lettuce, cheese, some shrooms, olives… just a salad. I then went to get some garlic bread sticks… nope…none were available at the time. Once I sat down and finally ate my salad, I saw the bread sticks get restocked. I didn’t care that I was just about finished, I jumped up and grabbed a couple before they disappeared. They were great! Hot and fresh out of the oven! Yes… that was my high point… kind of sad. I’ll say this, don’t go to Souper Salad and expect something out of the ordinary. It’s just your basic ingredients and a couple of pasta salad options. Nothing more. If you’re fine with that, and fine with not having a few of those basic ingredients every once in a while, you’ll be fine here.

I thought this would be a fun place to take my kids after church, but it’s pretty yucky. Soggy salad, tepid, flavorless soup… Nothing enjoyable at all about this experience. And everything is unkempt and untended. Soup slops, 1980’s salad bar choices, unappetizing presentation– a horrid waste of money even with the $ 5.79 coupon.

The plates were HOT right out of the washer I had to dig for a cool plate. I guess that’s a good thing that they are washing with hot water but I can’t eat salad on a hot plate. The lettuce was really wet so I had to shake the water off before placing it on my plate. The girl at the front that took our money went right from the cash register to wiping down the counter and touching all the utensils at the salad bar!!! I know, I know everyone touches the utensils but she should of been wearing gloves…

For sure NOT! Went tonight with my wife. The soups were dried up on the sides of the containers. The baked potato was cold and under baked. The trays are just disgusting. The carpet in this place is NASTY! I would not take my dogs to eat at this place.

This particular location doesn’t do such a good job as others that I have been to. I visited in February 2014 at about 3pm on a Sunday. First, the cashier was rude and impatient. It was not busy and there was no line, yet he asked us a question three times in row when we were obviously in the middle of discussing the answer between ourselves and even still a few steps away from the check out counter. After having sat down, I saw that he was in rush to continue snacking from the salad bar and doing things on his cell phone. Also, this was a man who was at least 35 years old, not some teenager. The food was pretty typical buffet fair of the souper salad variety. Not bad, but not great. There did seem to be some things lacking from the hot bar. Only pizza, bread, soup, and potatoes. I thought they used to have pasta, but maybe I am mistaken. I also thought there were less fruits and desserts than I was used to, but again, maybe I remembered wrong. The restaurant was understaffed. There was only one lady working the tables and putting out new food which was fine until it started getting even a little busy. The utensils and bowls on the hot bar were completely out or very low until the very end of my visit. The cashier guy did help a little with the floor work, but he mostly held down the chair at his personal table.

Yeah, it’s fun to walk down the salad bar with almost everything and look over at the 6 employees crowded around a table pigging out and laughing their asses while the 30+ customers wonder if anything will get restocked. Don’t think I will be returning to this particular Suck It Salad.
