Ah… Toys R Us. The epitome of childhood. Well, other people’s childhood. My parents could never afford to shop there. I can barely afford to shop there. However, I cannot deny that the selection of toys is incomparable to other stores. The store is always clean, well-stocked, and the employees are knowledgeable. They do seem to like to mark up the prices of their items in store even though the price on their website is almost always lower. What I do is each time I select an item in store I will check the same item on Amazon, and since they price match they will give it to me at the price that is lower. I think they do that on purpose. They know that most people will not bother to check any other prices and will pay their marked up cost. Not me, Toys R Us, no sir! That’s the only way I can afford to shop there now. Therefore, I shall live out my childhood again!

Very overpriced, understandably it is part of Hurst’s business district nearby North East Mall, so expect it to be. The biggest complaint is that the store is kind of a mess. Despite that, the employees who work there are generally kind and especially this cute guy that I saw worked there today. I’m not a big fan of Toy Stores, because you know, I don’t like kids or being full around of them. Matter of fact, I would never work here because I have short temper and I am very mentally unstable. I HAD to go here, because my Dad couldn’t find this specific doll for my cousin(which I don’t even know who she is) who is two years old and they basically didn’t have it in stock. In my damned mind, «why didn’t we just order this s*** online?

I was scared but I went anyway… on Christmas Eve. IT was slow moving and parking lots insane. Almost zero mobility on the roads… had to get creative. Action Jackson Style. Good Luck to the Parents… glad I am just the aunt. YIKES!

This place is crazy. Kids running around. Toys on the floor. Overpriced stuff. The only reason I went in here was with my sister to get my nephew a present that couldn’t be found at Target. Mind you I don’t have kids and don’t plan on having any so this place is a little overwhelming even for this teacher. My advice don’t go on the weekend and if at all possible order online.

Toys r us … they are more expensive than their other big box stores but have more at the ready selection. Do yourself the favor that if you have the time … price check online and other stores. I got my daughters Christmas gift $ 50 bucks cheaper online with free shipping and in time for Christmas else where … They always seem understaffed … or have most of their staff running around«cleaning» up the store. It’s almost always like a part in a bad Christmas comedy… only in real life terms … you have 5 people ask you for help when you don’t need it but have to wait in the single check out line behind 6 people to have the annoyed high school sales clerk who hasn’t had a break call a manager or a stocker come up to «help» you by walking you back to where you were, look dumbfounded when they realize its not there & walk back to the back to find or not find what wasn’t on the shelf … and if you get it you get to go back to the original line behind 10 people now … and they open an extra register after you’ve unloaded on that lines converter belt. Anyway … I go here usually only come here around christmas and birthdays. To return something, use a gift card, or because I didn’t get paid early enough to get the gift they wanted a head of time or to be able to price check at other stores.

Since the baby will be here very soon(7 weeks to grow!) I have been spending a considerable amount of time at the Babies R Us adjacent to every Toys R Us whitin the area. Let me tell you something about this one in paticular… it’s pretty awesome compared to other ones that I have been too(especially the Southlake store which was quite surprising?!) –Spacious in comparision to others… it’s almost as though this babies r us was built as a forethought and not an after. –clearly marked isles –friendly and helpful baby registry staff –clearly marked clearence items!!! and an abundance of them as well –CLEANRESTROOMS!!! Hallelujah! I mean… it’s babies r us… by the end of the day, ish may be everywhere due to the amount of traffic that goes to and fro, but I really will travel this 20 minutes rather than go to the Southlake store which is closer but so much more horrible.

Store looked clean(for a toy store). Bathroom needed some cleaning, but not horrible. And the associate in the video game section acknowledged us.

Toys R Us hates their customers. Why else would they want you to keep something that doesn’t fit? My daughter recently got 2 things form TrU, a toy and a bathing suit. We tried to return it(without receipt) at the Pipeline location in Hurst. They refused to do anything including letting us exchange the bathing suit with a TrU tag on it for another size. They told me to call the 800 number, which I did. They told me the return policy was«non-negotiable» and I had to find out the credit card number of the casual friend that gave us the item. This was after being transfered and put on hold 4 times. I have already told everyone I know NOT to buy anything for my three kids at this place. There are too many choices in the marketplace to shop with this archaic shop. A real bad apple…
