It was such good BBQ. It is one of the best in Hutchinson. It is a must have also. Eat here for real Kansas BBQ. The brisket and pulled pork is so good. Also the sides are great this joint is all around so good

What a find on a road trip! Excellent food, super affordable, large portions, friendly staff. I’d easily pay $ 30 for this meal back home! I’ll be sure to stop back in if I’m ever in the area :)

A truly good place to eat in Hutch! Links and pork are excellent, and watermelon tea was a real treat.

I was blown away by the hot fresh and smokey brisket. It was just dry enough not to make my bun soggy but juicy to taste. The barbecue sauce was good too. The little burnt bits and smokey flavor is out of sight good!

In town for work. I had Ribs and hot links, potato salad and beans. Everything was good, solid meal and I’d eat here again. Nothing was the best I’d ever had but I have no complaints. Beans were oddly very spicy. Far more heat than my hot links. I like spicy and they were good but normally they’re sweet. If you don’t like heat don’t get the beans.

Best BBQIN Hutchinson. Best tasting beef brisket, enough food for 2 meals, fast, for the price, you can’t beat it. Easy to support a hometown business when the food, is that good. Friendly staff too.

This has to be my favorite all time bbq restaurant!!! Heard the radio ad with the manager inviting us to try it out. We were greeted with a very friendly staff. Our booth was cozy and the restaurant was very clean. Now to the food… Everything came out in a timely manner freshly cooked French fries were awesome and the bbq beef sandwich melted in my mouth! Can’t wait to go back!

I really enjoy the ribs here. They are well prepared and seasoned. They have that wonderful smoke note you should always find in BBQ. They tend to be pretty tender here, too. Most people will appreciate that. For me, I always get ribs for lunch here.

An American take on the wildly successful Korean chain«Dog Wild Pit Bull BBQ,» this local hot spot uses the same recipe for success — without the canine cuisine, of course — to create a delightful Midwest destination.

Great food(I had the pulled pork and brisket — both were awesome!), wonderful service, nice clean location, good prices. I will definitely be back for lunch or dinner next time I’m in Hutchinson!

We found this little gem thanks to Unilocal! It is our habit to now in our pre trip planning to scour Unilocal and make a list of places to visit. Tiffany is a fiend when it comes to BBQ, and she put Hog Wild on our list of must visits. The restaurant was clean and we were greeted when we walked in with a smile and a «how ya’ll doing». After placing our order and getting our drinks we found an open booth and had just begun a conversation when our number was called. The BBQ was great; I had chopped brisket, pulled pork and hot links with fries. Tiff had the chopped brisket and pulled pork. The meat was flavorful and juicy, and was served hot; my fries had just come out of the fryer. It was a great experience and just what we had hoped it would be. We’ll be back!

Wow, this place delivers a punch of bbq goodness to the gut. Best baked beans I have ever had. Brisket and turkey were amazing. Great value to food ratio. Stop here and you will not be sorry.

Picked this place on a whim while visiting family and wasn’t disappointed. For only being $ on Unilocal, they really have some good food. The ribs were delicious and pealed apart easily, and on top of that the food arrived faster than you’d expect. Would eat here again.

Several times a year we travel to Hutchinson to visit family. Hog Wild is the first place we go. Everyone knows that is where we eat our dinner after a long trip. I always get the rib platter. The meat falls off the bone. The prices are pretty reasonable for what you get.

Decent BBQ and ok price. Was very happy with the service and the food was good. My group and I all had pulled pork which was nice, but not the best I ever had. If you are in Hutchinson, I would say this is an okay choice.

Unbelievable how bad this place was. Overpriced cold BBQ. Didn’t taste fresh. Severely severely tainted by how rude the staff was.

For openers, if you believe as I do that the perfect barbecue is usually found in a place with bars on the windows in the worst part of town and just enough grease on the tables to write your initials — this isn’t it. Hog Wilds is on Main Street in Hutchinson in a neat, crisp, clean store across the street from one of the Salt City’s famed landmark restaurants, Skaets(steaks, backwards). But when you get to the bottom line, this is only fair to middlin’ ‘cue at best. Great prices(2 meat dinner with 2 sides, $ 8.59, dollar less for one meat), not so good barbecue. Good barbecue(altogether now class) is cooked slow over low heat from wood embers, usually hickory and oak. The ribs here are cooked in less than three hours and then, brace yourself, steamed to make them«fall off the bone tender.» Any time the meat :“falls off the bone” it’s either been par boiled, or baked before being smoked, or grilled and then steamed. Guess where the flavor goes when you steam ribs? The brisket was sliced thin and was dry, the pulled pork only slightly better. The answer here is that Hog Wild is part of a small but growing chain with most of its stores in Wichita. Everything is recipe formula driven and geared not to offend. Hence all the fat is trimmed off the brisket and pork shoulder(guess what catches the smoke flavor and keeps the meat moist) A couple sauces(hot and mild), curly fries(fair), a distinctive slaw, and the untrieds: baked beans, mashed potatoes(in a barbecue joint?), and straight-out-of-the-can corn. How many chains do you know that really make good barbecue? Three desserts were smooshed into sealed plastic containers at the register, hardly an outstanding presentation and not not particularly appetizing. All in all, the Brown Shoe Gourmet(read other barbecue reviews from across the country) recommends that unless you just have to have a barbecue fix and you’re nearly out of gas, you look elsewhere.

This is my reigning champ for Ribs. Best I’ve ever had. So good you didn’t need sauce. But if you tried some it was great too. Danny Boys isn’t even close to their baby backs. I will remember the days I had Hog Wild ribs like I remember those special days in your life, because I don’t live in Kansas and I might not get to try them that often again. The coleslaw was good and the pulled pork just perfect. This is the standard I will judge all future BBQ joints against. period.
