National Tire and Battery

BEWARE. Went in with a screw in my tire looking for a fix. High pressure sales pitch and told I needed new tires. Are you kidding me? Tons of tread left on mine. Lots of new construction in Hutto neighborhoods, screws and nails everywhere. Went a block up the street to an independent and NEVER EVEN HINTED at new tires. Found a screw in one, nail in the other and fixed them both for 15 bucks. I’d should give them one star, but they did evaluate my vehicle quickly before they tried to rip me off. Avoid.

My experience at this NTB location was great. One of the tires I’d bought from a different NTB location two years ago had developed a slow leak a few months ago. Since I try to spend my dollars locally for necessities, I took it to the closest NTB, the one in Hutto, when the slow leak went just plain flat — and that on the coldest day yet of the ²⁰¹⁴⁄₁₅ winter. There were other customers — no bustling crowds — some dropping off, a couple of customers in the TV waiting room already. The mechanic looking at my tire came to speak with me about the tire I would have to replace. He showed me what tire he recommended — the same one already on — and its cost. I did a quick calculation and said it was do-​able. Actually, it turned out even better than do-​able for my pocketbook because there was warranty still left on the original tire! Other than having squished appointments pretty close that afternoon, I was a MOST happy camper with a new tire driving out into the cold about 1.5 hours after walking in.

Called and talked to Khris this morning needing tires due to flats and a blowout this morning. He told me over the phone the amount and time frame to get it completed. He was right on the money. He also had all 4 pulled and waiting for me to arrive. This was a big help for me. Sorry it’s taken so long to post this but this was done last month about 30 days or so ago and the ride and comfort is better then when I purchased my KIA new from the dealer and he did suggest an alignment and the handling is easier and it no longer pulls one way or the other at any speed from a school zone at 20 mph to the toll road at 80mph handles like it was brand new.

I will be returning for other services as needed to this location I like staying local to the house and with in the Hutto area and supporting the small shops in town.

Took my car elsewhere, turns out the parts they used in my car are crappy and I will probably have to end up replacing them AGAIN. As far my torque converter apparently being messed up, it’s sooooo NOT. Show you even management doesn’t know what they are talking about. If you value your intelligence, customer service, and checkbook, run in the opposite direction!!!
