OH my goodness, we heard they had really good breakfast tacos here so after drinking our not so great coffees we got from Baked and Sconed… we arrived here to order what would turn out to be not so great breakfast tacos. I got a shrimp and egg with cheese with potato — everything was so bland, no seasonings were put on anything. The tortillas tasted like something I could get from a gas station taco. The cheese was a 60 cent upcharge and it was burnt on from the griddle. I also got the shredded beef with bean and potato and egg(upcharges also for bean and potato of 30 cents each) — this thing was so greasy and horrible that a giant pimple instantaneously sprouted on my chin. It was like HEYMOFOTHISISYOURREWARDSFOREATINGTHISHORRIBLETACO. Honey got a chorizo and bacon with egg and potato and cheese. The bacon was the only thing that had a bit of flavor and it messed our stomachs up after due to all of the grease. Their salsas were OK, we got the mild and the hot green and red. It was some sort of flavor on an otherwise entirely bland and way to pricey for what we got. Wouldn’t return for breakfast at least. I have to go and tend to my new chin pimple now, it’s feeling neglected.

The worst tacos I’ve had in a long time. Ordered my food online and got there and had no knowledge of my food even being ordered because they ran out of paper in their printer. When I walked in to get my food and said I had an order to pick up they responded with«no» how rude. Then I got my food and it was cold and came with no salsa and the tacos were very dry. Never again.

One thing I love about Ricardo’s is how fast they are. I’ve only eaten at Ricardo’s for breakfast however, every time we go get breakfast tacos we receive speedy service. Salsa bar has great variety and something for everyone with 6 different salsas, pico, onions, cilantro, and jalapeños. Tortillas are fresh and good. My husband always gets the bacon egg and cheese and I get the beans, rice, and cheese tacos and both are delicious. I’ve read some reviews about tacos being«expensive» however, they are average price. Just if you were going to go get tacos somewhere in round rock, Austin, etc. If you want cheap breakfast tacos go to a gas station… You get what you pay for and Ricardo’s is worth paying an «average» price for. Highly recommend!

Tacos were very dry and absolutely nothing special… had a chicken taco and a beef taco… cost is extra if you want cheese, 2 regular tacos cost me $ 7.50 which I think is pricey… There are other places with better taste and value

Too expensive for mediocre tacos. If this wasn’t one of the only«taco» spots in Hutto, I don’t believe people would pay $ 3.00 plus for a taco. However, staff has always been very courteous.

First time here, place is clean. Got bacon egg-was good. Flour tortilla not as soft. Not greasy. Salsa bar was a plus for me. Would order again from them.

This place is the best around for breakfast tacos. They close at 2pm so it’s breakfast and lunch only and that allows them to focus on the limited menu. I take my son there every Friday morning for tacos before I drop him off at school and it’s always delicious. The scrambled eggs are good and greasy(if you don’t like buttery eggs go to McDonald’s) and the barbacoa has to be served with a side of napkins because you’re gonna get that goodness all over your hands. Cheese is a little steep for the add at $.60 per taco but the taco prices are low enough that it all works out in the end. And they brown the cheese onto the tortilla instead of just throwing it into the taco. My son always got two bacon and egg but recently switched to the chorizo and egg and now he’s ordering three! I usually get the barbacoa and a refried beans with cheese and papas but lately I’ve switched from the barbacoa over to pork carnitas and those are delicious too! Salsa bar is awesome with fresh, salsa, pico de gallo, jalapenos, picked onions, fresh onions and cilantro and 6 different sauces from mild to nuclear. Never had a bad experience here. A few of the reviewers complain about the language barrier but it’s authentic Mexican so guess what? They aren’t going to speak perfect English. Also a couple of reviewers complained about getting sick and I think that’s BS. I’ve eaten here every Friday for the last two years and the food is always fresh. Things might get a little messy at the salsa bar when it gets busy but that’s the only complaint I can come up with. I usually grab a handful of napkins and just clean it up myself since those before me didn’t have the decency to take care of their own mess.

The breakfast tacos were a bit too greasy for my taste and they even ‘pan fried’ the tortilla. They tasted OK, but I’d rather have lower fat ones.

Had a sausage egg and cheese and a bacon egg and cheese breakfast taco. Both were well made and included plenty of ingredients. Both tacos were tasty and flavorful. My only complaint was they were a little too greasy for my taste. They have a salsa bar that includes all sorts of different hot sauces. I’ll be back again.

Great food. Had the fajita tacos and rice n beans. It was nice seeing home made tortillas, instead of store bought. Bu the language barrier was bad. Other than that, great food, lots of room. Ill be back if im i the area.

I absolutely love this place! Best street tacos around. I lived in Hutto for about a year and it was convenient. It is sooo good that even though I don’t live close anymore, if I can catch them while they are open I will drive 10 miles for them. I only get one thing on the menu, the shrimp quesadillas. It is basically a shrimp taco. The shrimp is delicious, the cheese is tasty, add a side of Mexican crema to dip and you’ve got a tasty meal! My husband always gets chicken cilantro crème taco and beef fajita taco. They also have a salsa bar. He recommends to get lots of green sauce to put on your tacos. Staff is super friendly. One time our card was declined(something went wrong with a deposit at the bank) and they offered to let us come back the next day to pay for it.(We didn’t, we just went and got cash, but it was a really nice and trusting gesture!) The one and only reason I am docking one star off of Ricardo’s is the hours. They changed them sometime last year and close every day by 2pm, which makes it extremely difficult to even eat here anymore. I have to plan ahead and it is always only on a Sunday that I can make it out there. Very disappointed in that.

Nice tortillas. Courteous staff. Average tacos. I’ll consider changing my review after a few more visits. Overall, not bad.

I lived in Hutto for 5 years and I was really excited to get another breakfast taco place. I tried them on three separate occasions and each time the food was greasy to the point that lard was dripping everywhere. There was so much lard that you could see your reflection in it, I mean the taco was glowing like it was radioactive. They have no concept of what salsa is and pico de gallo is non-existent. After each visit I was looking for the closest bathroom within an hour. I have friends that also live in Hutto and they have experienced the same thing. If you think this place is good then you have no idea what a good breakfast taco is. Hutto actually does have an awesome place called Mario’s Mexican Restaurant in downtown. They are friendly, cheap, and the tacos are great. Not sure how this place has gotten such good reviews, nobody that I know that lives in Hutto will eat there.

Checked this place out after all the great reviews. Line was ridiculously long so I figured it had to be good, right? While I was still in line to order, my husband texted stating a kid walked out holding his stomach and hoping it wasn’t a sign. Boy should we have taken it as one and left then and there. I waited about 12 minutes to order. Once I ordered, I stood around waiting, went out to the car to talk to my husband and son and went back in to wait even longer. I waited roughly 20 minutes. I was starting to get a tad more concerned by now. Then the girl who took my order spoke some Spanish in a stern voice. Immediately 2 people apologized to me. Low and behold, they had so many orders they put my order in their completed basket without actually cooking it. Concern left me and then I started to get a tad annoyed. It took them 20 minutes of me standing around for a to go order before they realized they screwed up?!? Sad. We get home and eat and I would say about an hour after we all 3 got sick. Not sure what all the raves are for this place.

I know it’s weird, but they have one of the BESTBURGERSANYWHERE. I tried Ricardo’s on a few occasions for their breakfast tacos(which are great) and other dishes such as the menudo(not so great). One day I was in line when a man behind me asked if I had ever tried their burger. I,(of course being at an authentic Mexican restaurant) said no. He then enlightened me that he drives from Lakeway(quite the distance) to enjoy the best burger he’s ever had. Where you ask? Ricardo’s. I was a skeptic, until I had my first Ricardo’s burger. The patty is great, the ingredients are all fresh and it’s made with the same lovely stretchy cheese that any good quesidilla is made of. Thank you Ricardo’s for being the last place that I would usually order a burger, but producing an amazing American favorite.

I really have absolutely no idea why this place has 4 stars! First off, the place is so beyond dirty, I really, reaaalllyy wanted to walk out the second I walked in, but I didn’t because the reviews were pretty good, we were in the area and it seemed like a good plan(at the time). My fiancé ordered a quesadilla, I took so long looking over the menu because nothing really seemed that appealing — and I was totally in the mood for some good Mexican food. I went ahead and ordered Ricardo’s special nachos, a hamburger for my daughter and some chips and salsa. My fiancé’s quesadilla was a nothing but a soft taco! They just took a regular sized flour tortilla, folded it over and called it a quesadilla! The meat was obviously frozen, cooked three days ago and served. So! Gross! My nachos — I’ve had way better nachos at a late showing at a dollar theater. The meat was so, so, sooooo gross. The refried beans, so old — they were sooooooo old, I really wonder if the employees are trying to get fired. My goodness. I took one bite and… just the thought is making me vurp(vomit burp). My toddler loves hamburgers! Absolutely LOVES them, she wouldn’t even touch this sad rendition of a burger and I didn’t even try to make her take a bite. Chips were smothered in salt. I love salt. I hate cooking for other people because I am afraid they won’t appreciate my love of salt, but the salt content in these dishes were soooo heavy, probably to disguise the awful quality of their food. Why would you open a business just to drive it into the ground like this? Why wouldn’t you care about the quality of the dishes or the cleanliness of your restaurant? I am all about hole in the walls, which is partially why I stopped in here, but when the quality of food is so terrible, creating a fear that I’m going to get violently ill within the next 12 hours, I can assure you, I will not return. Go to Taco Bell. I’m not even kidding. The quality is SO much better. I really can’t see this place open for another year unless they make tons of changes immediately.

Picadillo capitol of the universe… or the best I’ve snuffled across in my limited travels. Most places use ground beef… this place has two kinds, both of which have hunks of beef and taters… the picadillo sureno has olives and other goodies, picadillo norteno is just beef and taters. My wife gets the pulled pork… more of the good stuff. Comes with 3 flour or corn tortillas and a plethora of hot sauces all the way up to nuclear, grilled onions, pickled onions and carrots and garlic cloves… this ain’t tex mex… it’s Mexican… the lady that owns it makes some very nice pastries like empanadas. We always order the 8 ounce serving for $ 5.50, can’t beat that. Posted a few pics.

Looking for Great breakfast Tacos in Hutto? Then look no further! The place is small but hell why would the size of the place make a difference. Al Pastor = WOW! Chorizo = Tasty. Chip & Hot Sauce = Great. Menudo = Ehh… not that good (Otherwise 5-stars) Great tacos though!

If you live in Hutto, you need to try this place! I have had breakfast and dinner here. Their salsas are fantastic! They now do a sit down version at Dinner, and it was quite nice. Who doesn’t like a good taco?
