Manny & Olga’s Pizza

I was excited when I saw they were opening one so close to my work but this is no regular Manny and Olgas… they suck!!! Worst food and service I have ever had from any of their shops.

I’ve had great food from other Manny and Olgas but this pizza arrived late, burnt and dry. The garlic bread had butter only and no garlic. When I called to notify the place, «Paul» the «manager» was rude and asked if I wanted raw garlic instead. I felt sorry for the driver who delivered it, who seemed embarrassed. I admit that I found out about Many and Olga’s Pizza from a previous place of employment after one of the strict yet also fair managers ordered the whole shift pizza (I must avoid saying more out of respect because they voluntarily left). Manny and Olga’s Pizza was not yet available for delivery in my area and my first delivery order with them was not until January 2016 when I found out via e-​mail that they now deliver near where my husband and I live. I ordered a large Manny’s Meat Special for my husband and I on January 26, but delivery time was a lengthy wait and influenced by that week being a snow week. Fast forward to less than 30 hours ago and both my husband and I were craving pizza and he recommended that I give Manny and Olga’s another try. I once again ordered the Manny’s Meat Special which comes with sausage, pepperoni, ground beef, bacon, gyro meat, and ham. Fortunately, the delivery driver delivered the pizza in a timely manner and was super nice. Both my husband and I liked the pizza, I would say that the taste was delish.

I ordered the wings and the pizza. I thought the wings were bad until I tasted the pizza. Ugh… These are family recipes that should be used only in times of war!
If this is your only choice… start a diet!

Sorry to have to rate this so low because I like supporting local businesses. I ordered a steak and cheese sub. The steak was a thin strip of dried, over cooked meat. The cheese was a translucent layer on top of the thin strip of meat. It was barely ¹⁄₃ the width of the bread with about an inch at either end just plain bread Nope, not going there again.

Easily the worst service I’ve ever had on delivery. Ordered wings and pizza only for it to arrive ONE HOUR later. Might not sound like a big deal until you realize that they are only .5miles away and they promised 20 to 30min delivery. Food wasn’t very good either… Won’t order again

I had a higher expectation from Manny and Olga’s. I ordered a super sub to go but when I received my order it looked really small. The young lady at the counter admitted that she gave me the 8 inch sub instead of the 16 inch. Mistakes happens… no big deal! The sandwich looked like something that my 3 year nephew would make! They were very skimpy on the meat and cheese and veggies.

Prior to having a horrible experience from the Hyattsville location my husband and I have been Silver Spring Manny and Olga customers for years. We were excited to have the franchise come closer but our experience with food quality last week made this location a never visit again spot. I ended up throwing away my meal that had old cheese and burned bacon (both looked inedible enough not to try) and the fries were soggy. My husbands pizza had two inches of crust, hardly any cheese, an overflow of sauce that had flowed to the crust side, and was so overcooked that you could only taste the bread and sauce, when it was a pepperoni pizza. After we finished throwing it away, I was done dealing with this business. My husband decided to write a partial review on the City of Hyattsville Facebook page and tonight at 9pm someone from the Manny and Olga’s Hyattsville location decided to call me to see why we were so disappointed. When I told him about the old cheese and this is a direct quote, «we just got new cheese a few days ago», my order was over a week ago that we, thanks for really making a point to never order from you again. This person continued to tell me how he tells people not to order fries because of how soggy they get when delivered, which seriously if you know how to cook them correctly they shouldn’t get a rubbery watered down texture when delivered. He then asked if anything can be done, which seriously would you want to order from a place that keeps cheese out or old??? The phone number has been permanently blocked and because of this ridiculous customer service we will no longer be ordering from any Manny and Olgas again.

In my college days, I used to always order Manny and Olgas. They aren’t the best but, the things I order are good and I can’t help it. So, years later, I seen a new location opening near my home. What are the odds? And the menu was the same!
I placed an order for a large pepperoni and sausage pizza, wings, and a Manny’s Favorite calzone (good and my favorite thing to order from here). But, this time the food didn’t taste the same, it didn’t taste as good as I remembered before. The pizza was slightly dry, it could use more sauce. The wings were ok, I’ve had better from them. And my calzone had lots of onions, when I asked for no onions. The calzone also needed to be cooked longer.
This location is new, so I was expecting better and I’ve had better before. I guess it was a bad night?
