I was impressed at how clean this location was even though I’m not a fan of the chain. Needed to make a pit stop and the bathroom was clean and new. Hopefully they keep it that way! Service was OK, a bit slow considering I was the only customer waiting. I ordered fries and nuggets for my husband. Fries were nice and hot when we finally got them though which is good. I tried his fries and had a nugget. Still not a fan. I think everything has a bitter oil after taste, not just here though, I think that’s how most fast food places are. But if you are a fan of the chain, this is definitely one of the cleanest locations!

A few weeks ago on Mothers Day about 2 weeks ago, I stopped in here for a quick treat. It had been my first real time in the brand new revamped restaurant. I was amazed. The walls, atmosphere and floors were still clean; even the orders came out right. We ended up ordering some sundaes and a McFlurry as well as a few teas and they all came out correctly and in an efficient and timely manner. Whenever I’m in the area of this location, I’ll try to stop in. Things seemed to have improved enough, where this location deserves five stars instead of the four I have for its last iteration a few years ago.

Congratulations, McDonald’s, you have successfully completed«genericide» on yet another of your establishments. By leveling the old place and rebuilding from scratch, from the outside, this place now looks like every other McDonald’s(except for the exterior finish, from which I believe you get to choose from brownstone, greystone, or siding). I’m sure the kitchen, with all its high-tech, shiny chrome equipment, and bistro lighting, is more useful for the employees, so that they can better prepare your fast food for you. Gone are a few things that made this place unique. That would include the rustic exterior and the glass-enclosed patio. Instead you get booths and tables(all with immovable chairs) and some 2-person bistro tables. Also gone is the childrens’ play area. I had hoped McD V2.0 would have fixed the navigation quirks of this place(like the old zig-zag drive-thru). It’s different now, and not necesarily better. There are now not 1 but 2 drive-thru lanes, and if you want to park near the door, you have to drive almost the entire way around the place to park(or you can park in back for a longer walk). But twice as much drive-thru also means half as much counter. Previously they had 4 counter registers, now only 2, and they were both unmanned when I entered for at least a minute. The food — it’s still McDonald’s, no matter what the lighting and seating. My breakfast sandwiches were actually better than the last time I came here for breakfast(fresh bagels for a change). Breakfast is still okay here. But for lunch, I’ll still take an independent local café like Cranberries. It’s still nice they have $ 1 coffee. But it continues to be stupid-hot. I could barely sip it while I was in there eating my breakfast. It wasn’t until I finished my meal and drove home(5 more minutes) that the coffee had cooled to an acceptable level.

It’s McDonald’s! The same too much salt on fries and that sort of business. I used the drive-tru a couple of times. They seem to leave things out so I have to run in a retrieve my missing food. On the plus side, they have a nice little«greenhouse» section where you can look outside, but all you see are other buildings. They do have those things where kids can crawl through tunnels. They get a blast out of that.
