How interesting that I get a sheet of Subway coupons in the mail — to my home in Hyde Park… go to the Subway in Hyde Park… and learn that the coupons aren’t accepted here, at the Subway located closest to my home. I was told this store is in Zone 42, and the coupon only applies to Zone 41. Sure enough, there’s a cryptic number ending in «41» on the coupon, and my receipt for my lunch also has a cryptic number on it ending in 42. I’ve yet to find a Subway website which shows to which zone each one one belongs. When I asked where the zone for which the coupons apply exists, I was told it was to my south. Well you know what else is to my south? Quizno’s, and I liked the sub I got there the other day. You know what else is in Hyde Park for sandwiches? Cranberry’s and Clancy’s, two really nice INDEPENDENT businesses. They deserve your support. I might have to pay a little more for a sandwich there, but it won’t leave a bitter taste in my mouth.

The staff makes decent sandwiches according to your request and the store is clean and neat and orderly. However, the staff is rude and the members have no personality/enthusiasm. Obviously making sandwiches as a career is repetitive and boring, but at least do not act so lifeless and quiet! They are dressed as if they are going to attend a heavy metal rock concert too. They looked as if they were going to hop on the KISS tour bus. I do not believe that dress code is appropriate for this job.

After eating there 2 days ago, I was only half satisfied with this business. Although the store was clean, I always seem to have a problem with their tables. Although I’ve been told they wash their tables(they always tell me this is true, and, as observed), their tables still feel very sticky. After asking an associate, they told me they ALWAYS are that way(even when the tables were first delivered to the store, the tables were just as sticky). I don’t know… I don’t believe that. Anywho, food was okay, although they were out of a few bread choices. Employees were well versed into what each item was, and was able to assemble my sandwich with few problems. Although I told the employee that the sandwich was finished, he asked me if I wanted a few extra toppings(that I instinctively knew I normally would get sick from, being a person with irritable bowel syndrome, as onions and pickles and a mess of other things give these people these problems). The employee was kind-enough to listen to the customer. I realize the order was quite long(being a 5 customer family order). The prices were expensive, but for the quantity of stuff I got, the price was well worth it. I don’t know; personally, I know this place didn’t meet my full expectations, however my parents will probably ask me to stop in to this shop in the near future. They were okay(but not great) in this sense to compare the services for this visit.
