Extremely friendly, hometown feel of a coffee shop. Everything’s fresh and smack dab in the center of town.

In search of a good cup of coffee while in Idaho Springs? It’s here! I ordered a caramel macchiato and drank it on the spot. Before I left, I got another one to-go. Very cute café with jigsaw puzzles, coloring books for adults and children, magazines and books to read, a piano, and assortment of items for sale. Comfortable, cozy, and clean dining area. A limited number of items to eat, but they were homemade and looked delicious and fresh(didn’t try any myself). What really pushes this café from a 4 star rating to 5 stars is the amazing friendliness and warmness from the barista! She was so sweet and very understanding that early morning caffeine is not a luxury, but a necessity.

The sweetest couple runs this mountain town gem. Great coffee served with a massive smile. The wife/owner invited us in the back where her husband was hand roasting coffee. He was so friendly and spent a good 15 minutes explaining the life of a coffee bean and letting us smell the differences. Definitely a great place to stop for a drink or baked good.

It was a cute place! Cozy atmosphere and the coffee wasn’t bad. I’m pretty sure they roast their own beans in the back, which is pretty neat. Overall a good experience! Will definitely come back.

The coffee is terrific. I’ve had a cup of the house blend as well as an espresso. Both were very enjoyable. This morning I tried the Frothy’s Gone Nuts. It has diced apples in an oversized muffin which has brown sugar at the bottom. It is then coated in a caramel drizzle and topped with pecans. Yum! Lastly, but certainly not least, all employees I interacted with were very friendly.

If you don’t like this place, you suck. This place is amazing! Their house tea is like nothing else in the world. Buy a jar of loose leaf and save it for a cold winter day. The barista had a shock of blue in her hair and an energy about her that put the cherry on top of the experience. Defiantly will be back every time we are in the area

Love, love, love this place. Exceptionally friendly staff and the owners are wonderful. Enjoyed the use of essential oils in the tea. Very nice place to just hang out and wind down… not that you need to do a whole lot of winding down in the area. Look forward to my next visit!

I came in and asked for a suggestion for a cold coffee drink. The amazingly friendly barista suggested a mocha javacino(basically a mocha frap) so I got that and it was delicious! Everyone there was really polite and friendly, despite us wearing Packers gear in a Broncos town! Great people, great coffee, and a cute little shop overall! I highly recommend it.

Excellent local coffee place with atmosphere. Very cosy and relaxing places to sit too, while you’re enjoying your beverage. Victorian décor, nice chairs to sit it(or you can sit outside if the weather is nice), and the owner is terrific. Better coffee too than you know what at that chain place at the freeway exit.

The coffee was 5 star. I really enjoyed the ambiance and wished we had a little more time to hang and chat with the owners. The Frothy Cup even had a piano which made for a perfect hang for this gal. I will be sure to drop in on my way to and fro Breckenridge.

Another great little ‘one horse’ town. After leaving the Denver IA and maneuvering the traffic(please PEOPLE, watch the road a little, is on motorcycles are at your mercy) I stopped for gas and a cup. I was met at the door by the barista and a ‘welcome’. No line. Good service and tasty drink before hitting the road again. Wish me luck

Great coffee. Service above and beyond. If you want real cream just ask. They have nice knick knacks if you’re in the mood. The snacks are made in nearby towns. Like this a lot. I’d recommend for great coffee from 7 – 7 on weekends.

If you’re ever traveling to or around Idaho Springs, CO, and you need a coffee fix and a dose of Colorado hospitality –The Frothy Cup us a «must» stop. As soon as you walk in you feel the warmth. The place isn’t big but it’s so welcoming. Mugs for the café «regulars» hang on pegs marked with their names and if you want to taste the special of the day, the charming man behind the counter(and I wish I knew his name) will hand you a ceramic mug and tell you to try some. Based on my «tasting» I bought his special Sulawesi Kalossi dark roast and it is delicious. Now I wish I had bought more. All the beans are roasted there and he even offered to show me all the various the beans he had. If I lived in Idaho Springs(which is also a very friendly place) I’d definitely have a mug hanging on a peg!

What a surprise!!! After hiking through the mountains we stumbled upon this little gem of a coffee shop– met the owners, who are AMAZING! They gave us a tour of the shop and coffee roaster, actually showed us the roasting process which is fantastic to see and we got to try the best black tea I have ever had in my entire life! Actually bought a jar to bring back with us to California– and I will be calling the owner to have her ship me more haha… this place is so cute, you must stop in for a visit.

We stopped by The Frothy Cup to get a drink and get a break from the sun. The atmosphere was so relaxed. The barista was very kind and made friendly chit chat. The Mocha Javacino hit the spot! We were able to sit down, work on a puzzle that was sitting on a table, and listen to great music. The Frothy Cup is a MUST when traveling through!

This is now my favorite coffee shop in between Vail and Denver! I loved the snickers coffee! I will say that the muffin I had was a bit dry but the coffee made up for it. The shop is clean, has lots of cute bistro tables, and the customer service was far above other coffee shops in Idaho springs. Plus they have puzzles, and puzzles are fun lol
