Some of the best tasting ice cream I’ve ever had! I had a single scoop of sea salt Carmel in a waffle cone & it was Devine! If you’re down in IB swing in and check it out.

So sad when I go to my favorite place in town with my daughter to find out they closed 30 min early, and the kid that works there can go fishing on the pier instead

I was disappointed by the Hawaiian Shave Ice. I thought it would be the light and fluffy stuff I’ve gotten at other Hawaiian Shave Ice stands, but it was basically the consistency of a snow cone, which I don’t like. It was still okay, but I was quite let down. Other than that, the staff is nice — even when they’re slammed with people. The store is small, so lines can easily reach out the door, and there can be some confusion as to who is next. But I’m willing to go back(during a slow time) to try something other than their ‘shaved’ ice.

THISISNOT«REALHAWAIIANICE». If you have been to Hawaii then you know what shaved ice is like. This is some BS snow cone pretending to be shaved ice. Shaved ice melts in your mouth. This stuff you can eat and is crunchy. If you want a REALSHAVEDICE place try the place off of Convoy. That’s the closest shop that comes close to Hawaiian shaved ice. I took 2 bits and was pissed…

I brought my god-sister here who was visiting from out of town who wanted to enjoy the beach(minus the sand). I think the best thing this place has got going is the location. It’s perfectly nestled at the beginning of the pier near the«Imperial Beach» sign. Like many spots in the most southwestern city of the U.S., they give off a mom and pop vibe, because… hey sweet pea, you’re family. Cash is preferred, but they’ve modernized a bit and accept iPad credit card payments. Note that there is a $ 7 minimum purchase required. This visit I ordered a childhood fave: a single scoop of rainbow sherbert in a waffle cone with gummy bears. I enjoyed it very much. I haven’t tasted gummy bears this fresh in a long time!(sad sad). The waffle cone was also one of the best I’ve had. It’s a great place to stop by intentional or not. Kill time or take a stroll on the pier on the beach. Quite lovely!

4 adults, 3 kids and it only costs us $ 18.00. Not bad for quality ice cream! The joint isn’t much to get excited about, but the outside seating on & around the pier is perfect. The guys working are legit & personal. It’s a great ice cream shop at the beach. Now for what matters… the ice cream. The ice cream is clearly homemade, rich, & creaky. Excellent variety of favors & concoctions. The waffle cones are large & perfectly flavored & firm. The specialty flavors are 90%; meaning that almost all are a home run. They offer samples of every flavor(on request), & I suggest you do this before you make your pick. I tried several before selecting & each was phenomenal. My order, however, was for a flavor I did not sample but assumed would be great based on my other tastings. Busted!(The peanut butter brownie sucked…& I love PB.) The praline pecan, Mexican coffee, & cookies & cream are awesome! Get a waffle cone of one of these & you are solid. Support the business, bless the workers & spoil yourself with excellent, quality & satisfying ice cream at this local shop!

You have to try the espresso shot with a scoop of ice cream! My fav combo is with the Mexican coffee ice cream! They also add some whip cream and dark chocolate covered almonds to your cup! It’s such a tasty lovely treat while walking the IB pier! I tried the iced Caramel macchiato drink. The beans are freshly roasted and you can taste it! It’s so fresh! That’s how I love my espresso. I think I found my new coffee spot. Goodbye Starbucks?! Lol…

I came here for the first time 4 years ago this summer with my husband and boyfriend at the time. The strawberry is so creamy delicious and so are the waffle cones! IB is the place to go for delicious ice-cream at Cow-A-Bunga!

The hot chocolate sundae with everything on it taste great. It is 2 scoops of any ice cream topped with whip cream, hot chocolate, nuts, and a cherry. It is delicious and on warm sunny day, it hits the spot. Sercive is good. The place is small inside so do not mind the line out the door.

Came here for a coffee drink after a nice walk on the beach. It’s a great location right near the pier. They make coffee any way you want it. hot, iced, or Frappuccino style. I ordered the frozen blended chocolate mocha blended with a scoop of the Mexican coffee ice cream! The ice cream has flecks of espresso… It was delicious and creamy, full of coffee flavor. The ice cream here is incredibly good and home made. They have over 15 flavors to choose from. and if you are not sure what you want they will give you a free taste. The server was friendly and greeted me with a smile. The best part was taking my awesome drink and walking on the pier to watch the beautiful ocean waves roll in. Each sip of my delicious drink kept me cool. because it was a hot day at the beach!

Best ice cream in IB and out beats many in SD County. Love their rocky road and strawberry.
