I have eaten here about 10 times over the last year and tried a large variety of their sushi. I have never been disappointed. The Godzilla roll is one of my favorites.

I was craving sushi and decided to stop by on my way home for take out. I had seen this sushi restaurant before and did not have high expectations. For some reason sushi from Imperial Missouri does not sound the most appetizing. The place does not look so great from the outside but I was quite impressed with how authentic the restaurant looked on the inside. I ordered the rainbow roll and sake nigiri sushi to go. It only took the chef about 5 minutes to make. The fish tasted very fresh and I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely come back.

My husband and I went there for dinner last night. We tried the rainbow jalapeño appetizer with several cuts of fish in a yummy sauce with jalapeños on top. The fish tasted fresh, and the sauce was a nice complement. We thought the waitress was very prompt with seating us, taking our orders, and checking on us throughout the meal. For dinner we shared 3 roll: Volcano roll, dragon roll, and the body roll. We were delightfully surprised at how good each sushi roll was and could not decide our favorite. The flavors were on point. We are excited to find a delicious sushi restaurant so close to home. We will definitely be returning.

Great food, terrible service. Rude wait staff and act as if they don’t want customers. I’m usually rushed out when dining in.

Went there the other day due to my recently acquired taste for sushi. Waiter was nice but I could tell he had other things on his mind. California roll was pretty good also the crab Rangoon’s. Had a glass of red wine with the meal, not too bad. After the meal, I went to the restroom and found it not too clean. The image of a dirty bathroom really spoils everything. You know, things need to be clean! Not to anxious to return the this establishment. Maybe one too many stars.

I went there last night 2.26.15 around 7p. It was really slow, but the first time I tried it. I got a shrimp roll made right in front of me. It was excellent and worth the money.

The sushi is good for being in Missouri. However if you are more use to extremely fresh sushi from the coast I recommend ordering a large Sapporo to go with your dinner. The waiter was very nice and helpful.

I tried their sushi for the first time tonight and I was very disappointed. I did not like their fake imitation Krab in their California roll… They didn’t even shred it up they just left it whole which gives it a horrible texture. Their Philadelphia roll with smoked salmon literally tasted just like smoke, no other flavor just smoke. I doubt I will return again, I’ll drive further to make sure I get some actual good sushi next time.

Excellent once again. Crab Rangoon app was the best cr have had in a long time. Got the maki something(#86). Best deal for all the food you get. Look forward to our next time.

Fuji sushi is located in a small strip mall just off of the Imperial exit on Highway 55 on the way to Kimmswick. I ordered a large to go order. I ordered the pineapple fried rice that came with good quality and large shrimp and scallops. Very pleased. I ordered the Philadelphia roll and asked for fresh salmon instead of smoke salmon. They complied and the generous portion of salmon was very fresh. Unfortunately, the volcano roll, asparagus roll and eel roll were drenched in a sweet sauce and so rich that they were inedible. Epic fail on the overall sushi quality, which stinks since that is primarily what they serve. The tempura we ordered was just okay, as well, but it was carry out, which is never a good idea for fried food. Overall, I would say that it wouldn’t be m first choice of sushi bars in the area, but I would order some of the other items If you do order sushi, ask them to avoid or go light on the sauces.

Been a monthly regular here for a couple years now. I always start with their squid steak and rainbow jalapeño sashimi plate. It’s a small place. But big things come in small packages in this case. Fantastic sushi.

The food is ok. I would have had a happy experience if customer service was a little better. I found a roach in my salad i informed the manger and he brushed it off as if its normal. I politely grabbed my sh*t and left. Bugs are everywhere and yes finding them around food is a given but damn can u at least do something for me, im not asking for a free me. So u wont catch me there. Enjoy.

Today was the first time I ever ate at Fuji Sushi & Grill. I will forever be a regular customer from here on out! We ordered the Godzilla, the Double Punch and Dragon rolls with a Kani salad. Everything tasted fresh and looked beautiful! The last time I had sushi this great was in San Francisco! :)

It’s been a couple years at least, but I have been here twice with my husband & on a third occasion for take-out. It has always been pretty good! The only time the food wasn’t perfect was when we got it to go. We got all the way out to my mother-in-law’s & my husband said something was wrong with his order, but it was still edible. I think it was a wrong item & a missing item if I remember right. We were hungry & he didn’t want to drive back out there. I know I have usually gotten the avocado roll. I have also tried the dragon roll, I believe it was called. Avocado & tempura, etc. in the roll. I have also had the vegetable tempura. I must admit I am not certain if the batter is vegan, but it does taste pretty good, especially if you’re lucky enough to get a mushroom. =) I have always been surprisingly full when dining here & order too much. I wouldn’t mind getting extra to take home if we ever get to return. We have enjoyed going here to get out of the house. It has nice décor & a decent atmosphere. Could be a little more lively perhaps. Take a sweater when the a/c is on, but that is true of most restaurants in summertime. Fuji is definitely a gem that I didn’t expect to find in a mini mall in Imperial, Missouri. I would definitely go back anytime for some more food & Japanese beer. They also have sake if you’re into that like my husband. I have yet to acquire a taste for it. We did take pictures of our food on our last visit dining in, if that tells you anything.

The sushi rolls were great although the miso soup was salty. That was a little disappointing. But everything else was great. Definitely going back. Love that its so close to home.

Quite honestly, this is about the worst place I’ve been to for sushi. The miso soup was horrible! It simply didn’t taste right. My salad had pineapples in it, which I found to be quite unusual. The steak teriyaki was bland & absolutely tasteless. The price & quality of the food was not on par with other sushi places. But, it’s close to my house. I would even be reluctant to try the sushi here. The price here just doesn’t justify the quality of the food. It’s a bit expensive(about $ 20 per person). The tea is merely served with a lone tea bag in a cup. I had expected a tea pot of some sort. Nope! Service was great. The next time I want sushi or Japanese food, I think I’ll drive the 30 minutes into the city.

You wouldn’t think they would have a Sushi joint in Imperial, MO but they do. The restaurant can be seen going north bound on Hwy 55. After driving by the restaurant several times I finally decided to give it a try. Pretty simply place but the pricing for Sushi was amazing! I uploaded a picture which is definitely worth a 1000 words. The quality and freshness was very good and presentation was top notch. So if you are down in Jefferson County, MO and looking for some Sushi this is «THE» place to go!

I’ve seen this place a few times when jumping on I-55. It’s right by the entrance ramp of the Imperial to 55 north. Inside the place is new but a little tacky. Oh well. I didn’t come here based on the décor. It is in a Jefferson County strip mall. I tried the seaweed salad, the New Orleans roll, and Rocky II roll. The salad was fresh. The rolls were packed with flavor and very large and everything seemed to be made with care. Based on the location and décor, I didn’t think the food was going to be this good. For sushi lovers, this place is a gem. There are many other items on the menu other than sushi so don’t feel like you can’t bring your sushi-intimidated friends. Prices are reasonable, service was average. One odd complaint… the table must have had a bow in it… the plates all rocked and spun around.
