I heard good things about this place but I have to disagree. I’m not big on provel cheese and it’s on everything. I don’t like that toothpaste texture sticking to the roof of my mouth. Gross! The meat on all our sandwiches was pretty tough and the bread was a little hard but very chewy! However, the kid got a meatball sub and it wasn’t bad.

Tonight, six employees working and it took 5 minutes ro wait on me, with no other cusromers in the restaurant. The ONLY reason someone came out from the back is due ro the phone ringing. After she took their order, I was asked if I had been waited on. As i waited for my food, the employees unprofessionally spoke about other «stupid» customers. I’m sure I was talked about after I left, as well. I had a «poor» attitude since I was ignored and then pushed behind a telephone order. Food too expensive for that type of service.

If you find yourself on I-55 just south of St. Louis I highly recommend you make this stop. Get the half Gerber half Prosperity. So Yum!!!

The food is terribly over priced for the quality. How can dinner for 2.5 cost over 35 bucks in a deli. It was 9 bucks for a cheap hoggie roll with pepperoni and very cheap cheese that they called pizza bread. Their fries were cold when they gave them to me and their toasted raviolis were cheap out of the box with a terrible red sauce. While I was waiting for my food I got to learn about all kinds of different drugs and what their effects were from non prescribed medicine. Then another lady insisted on telling me that her phone bills was too high along with her chronic medical problems and would get the hint that I was not interested in her personal issues. Terrible restaurant… Try bellacinos off Jeffco Blvd… Much better food, family orientated and more for your money!

As a child i remember going with my mother and grandmother on occasion to get a Gerber when we would be out and about and I was happy when I learned that there would be one build close to my house. So, the other day I was out running around and decided to get me some lunch to soothe the beast in my belly and ended up getting a turkey Gerber, which I hadn’t even knew existed until I walked in and boy was I NOT disappointed at all! All the deliciousness of the original Gerber with turkey instead of ham, yes ma’am! Now, I know when I go back that I may just have to switch allegiance to this new sammich!

When meeting with our church group over a year ago, they ordered Rumas, and we liked it. When I saw they had a Groupon out for the Imperial location, I bought it even though I couldn’t remember what we had liked there and had thought it was a burger.
However, when we went to order, they didn’t have burgers, but sandwiches. I went with the Meatball Sandwich, and my boyfriend went with the Prosperity. We also ordered Bosco Sticks. Everything was great. Nothing so exceptional to make it a 5 star favorite, but we will definitely go back. The meatballs were big and juicy in yummy marinara, and the Prosperity made for a yummy mix of flavors. We have had Bosco Sticks in many places, and these were exactly what we wanted.
Overall, Ruma’s is not a MUST go, but if you’re looking for a quick yummy lunch in the area, it’ll make you happier than fast food.

I have taken my dog, Buddy, to Mastadon Park numerous times. Usually, I stop at jack in the box for lunch. I feel bad leaving my dog in the car. I decided to stop at Ruma’s Deli in Imperial for lunch. it was not a vey hot day so i decided to go ahead and eat lunch inside.
I got the small Gerber. It wasawesome. The Gerber is garlic bread, shaved ham, and melted provel cheese. The service was quick and friendly. i was in and out in 30 min. I will definately keep Ruma’s in mind when i want a quick affordable meal.
