Meh… Bacon and egg burrito $ 3.55. You want beans extra; cheese extra; avocado $ 1.15 extra. So when it’s all said and done your burrito will be close to 6 – 7 bucks. I’ve tried this place several times and each time I finish half my burrito and think why??? Why, did I come here again!!! I’m over this place it’s an Imperial Valley staple but do yourself a favor and find a mom and pop place to get your breakfast burrito fix.

Every time I go home I HAVE to eat at Johnny’s! It reminds me of my childhood ahahah. I always get the fries with cheese and avocado sauce, it looks gross but it tastes AWESOME!

I like Johnny’s. The service is friendly and consistent. I usually have the taquitos, breakfast burritos(machaca and egg is my favorite) and/or fries with nacho cheese or Jack cheese and avocado sauce. They hit the spot every time. I wish they stayed open a little later, maybe 7p. That’s the only thing that docks them a star. I always get the sweat tea with a splash of lemonade and extra ice. Their ice is pretty great. It’s a great fast food spot and I’m glad they’ve opened another one in El Centro for when the craving hits!

Place is overrated and extremely overpriced. Burritos are about the same size as your cell phone, and food is never consistent. Drinks are also full to the top with ICE. Cheese is thrown on top of everything, but never melts because the food is cold. Only giving it two stars for their sauce.

First time I went I wasn’t satisfy at all the food was like any other and too many on the menu i wasnt sure what to order. The second time I decided to order a egg burrito I wasn’t impress with it at all I think I’ve had better.

Gave it one star for effort. But, never again will I eat there. The burritos were small, greasy and over priced, scratch that EXTREMELY overpriced. Service sucked too. I still don’t see what the fuss is all about, especially when they have Zarape a few feet down from them and they offer authentic Mexican food for a really good price!

Locals know about Johnny’s. I went to the first one in Brawley when I lived there when it first stared as a neighborhood market. For any out-of towners, you need to stop by. Their taquitos(rolled tacos) with guacamole sauce will be unlike anything you’ve had anywhere else. I got a burrito once, it was ok, stick with the taquitos. My mom used to like their cheese fries, I tried it once, meh. I ALWAYS stop by when I’m in town for my taquitos fix.

Pizza pockets with ranch! Deep fried bean & cheese burritos! And a Jumbo Sweet Tea with lemon! Are all a must! I’m not from the Valley, but every time I visit I have to stop by and get my favorites

So… Folded Tacos? Omg yes please!!! I just discovered they have carne asada tacos too. Sooo good. I’ll need to try more items on the menu. I’m not a huge fan of the guacamole… seems overly processed or watery? Eh anyhoots aside from that I’m still loving the food. Yum yum. I may have to get my taco fix for lunch tomorrow.

The foods tastes okay but the carne asada isn’t the aracherra meat I’m used to here in the Imperial Valley. The burrito was also on the smaller side. I also ordered fries with shredded cheese and avocado sause. Wish the fries were hot cause the cheese on it wasn’t even melted. The service was good just expecting more.

Worst chicken burrito I ever had. It was small and the chicken meat was old and chewy. It was expensive too. Even Taco Bell’s burritos are fresher.

This place has the weirdest hours, and the smallest burritos for the price. My kids like the«flautas» which are pretty much like the frozen«taquitos» you get at the grocery store, topped with cabbage and a soft white grated cheese… then served with a hot tomato-type sauce on the side. I’m more likely to roll through the drive thru for a horchata on a hot day than buy food for the whole family here.

If you looking for good taco’s and cheese fries this is the place to go. I like the ice tea also.

This place has the worst food, even for the valley. I ordered myself a taco salad — the lettuce was brown, meat was flavorless, I didn’t even finish it. For my daughter, I ordered the chicken strips. They were hard & thin, seemed like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. It was also highly processed chicken, which I don’t like to feed her. Even the drinks tasted off, I couldn’t find a decent beverage even after going back & trying other options.

There’s no place like Johnny’s, there’s no place like Johnny’s. Which is why they can close hella early, sometimes for the entire summer. I get angry, but will I discontinue my business? No. Johnny’s has a monopoly of deep fried bean and cheese burritos, fries with cheese and avodado, and taquitos and they control me because of that! I did have the carne asada burrito here once and I am not impressed with the meat, so I stick to the usuals, or I’d have a pizza pocket whenever I’m feeling adventurous. Don’t forget the sweet tea!

I agree with Amy M’s typo. «It’s really dissapointed when I have to leave with a Johnny’s burrito». Salty, greasy, and overall gross. Enough said.

This place is great! Always kept clean. Although there is no comparing this place to the main store in Brawley, the food is still pretty good. I would recommend the Chunky Beef burrito. It’s jam packed with meat, and tastes very good. To complete your meal I would recommend the fries with cheese and avocado sauce, if you want to get fancy ask for carne asada on top. The salsa there tastes great, made daily, and fresh. The tea tastes okay, I would recommend getting some horchata. Another great meal is the Chips Grande. It is tortilla chips covered with shredded meat, sour cream, guacamole, beans, salsa, and cheese.

Johnny’s Burritos is an institution in Brawley, and it’s nice to have one in Imperial to get my fix when I’m in the South end. I can’t count the number of times I have been to Johnny’s in Imperial, let alone Brawley over the years, but through all those times the food is always delicious and consistent. You never have to worry about an off day, because they have their formula down pat and can execute it the same every time. Maybe I’m biased being born and raised in Brawley and growing up on Johnny’s, but their recipes are unique and their breakfast burritos are second to none. The past Saturday morning we drove through for a late breakfast and didn’t have to wait very long, there were two cars ahead of us and from the time we pulled into line till we had our food was somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes. We ordered Egg and Bean, Egg Bean and Cheese, Egg Potato and Sausage, Egg Potato and Bacon, and Fries with Avocado Sauce. I always order my burritos«Hot» and end up putting more of the hot sauce on it as I go. I love their hot sauce, it’s thinner than a salsa, but not as watery as tapatio; It’s somewhere in between. All of our burritos were spot on, the eggs are always fluffy and the potatoes are always a nice mashed consistency that meshes well with all of the burritos. My go to is the Egg Potato and Sausage and the sausage links are always nice and juicy, never dried out or overcooked. My only beef is that they seem to be watering down the avocado sauce, which I have seen in the past in Brawley. Please Johnny’s just don’t do it! You have already increased the price per cup for avocado sauce, don’t water it down on top of it. They sell it by the half gallon at Smart and Final for $ 10 or less. Johnny’s sells it in 2 oz cups for $ 0.60. $ 0.60×322oz servings in a half gallon(64 oz) is $ 19.20. You’re doubling your money already, please don’t be greedy and try to stretch it even further. My only recommendation to my fellow Unilocalers if they keep it up is to just buy the avocado sauce yourself at Smart and Final and keep it in the fridge and take all your orders to go.

this place has the worst burritos that I ever had first of all it was tiny for the price and it lacks flavor the cheese fries were ok, I would’ve been better of getting something at ampm for way less cash Idk how there’s a big line at the drive thru at this place

Johnny’s is my must-have place when going back to the Valley for visits. I love their carne asada burritos and cheese fries! The only thing is I wish they were open on Sundays because we usually go for the weekends and don’t always h ave time to stop on Saturdays and it’s really disappointed when I have to leave with a Johnny’s burrito.
