Great drinks and great establishment. Staff is friendly and knowledgable. Back beer garden is the perfect place to hang out. Plenty of space and a variety of seating areas with games even. The only thing that could make it better is some type of food.

This is the kind of bar that feeds the stereotype of Nevadans as warm, friendly people. I went here by myself on Thursday(open mic night) and found myself talking to the host of open mic night, the bartender, and a couple other folks within an hour. Open mic night was a blast, even though only a few people got up on the mic and I definitely want to go to it again. Beers are really good and diverse, and the kombucha. OMG the kombucha! This is neo kombucha that actually tastes good, not gross, original kombucha, the cousin of stinky Chinese medicine to be consumed only for health benefits. They have a side room with couches and art that is perfect for hosting a meetup, and catching up with good friends. Volume is good for having a conversation. Add this gem to your evening to do list!

Alibi was another stop on a recent brewery tour around Lake Tahoe. Like many of our stops, it was one I’d never been to before, but it had been bookmarked for quite some time. The location was a little weird, and I started doubting where Google Maps was taking us, but sure enough, we were in the right spot. The interior is really cool, different than what you’d expect from the outside. Plenty of bar seating and large tables for bigger groups. They serve some snacks(chips, etc.) but they don’t have a food menu. However, there was one group that brought food in from somewhere else, so that’s always an option if you want something to munch on while enjoying a brew. There’s a bunch of beers on tap and there were several that called out to me; they also have some non-alcoholic options, like kombucha. I started with the Mandarina Kolsch. I’d never had a kolsch before, but I’m a fan now! My second beer was a light, fruity beer, I can’t remember exactly what it was(and it’s not on their website), but I want to say maybe there was a blueberry flavor? Anyway, I really enjoyed it too. This place is definitely worth a stop in when you’re in Incline!

We stopped in here to support the local brewery. My hubby loves micro brew beers best. I am not as much of a beer drinker so I had the cider which was very good. They tapped a Nitro Brett beer while we were there and the owner and bar keep were talking about it and I was curious and had to try it. The bar keep explained the beer to me and said the Brett is what makes it a sour. I had tried a sour before and it was very… sour. Since I am not a real beer lover I really didn’t like it. I tasted the Nitro Brett here and was pleasantly surprised by how mild it was. It did not have a strong hoppy beer taste and for me was a beer I would drink. I smelled it before I drank it and it smelled fruity which enhanced my experience. I will go back and hopefully have that beer again before we leave to go home.

Yeh!!! It’s awesome! Great music and amazing beer. The lounge is also great to sit and talk with friends. One of the best options in Incline Village.

Go! If you are in Tahoe, it’s the perfect escape from tourism and the ski crowd! We just happened to stumble on it after the host from Mountain Sandwich Co let me know they were local. We stopped in after lunch on a Sunday and it was so chill and friendly. I had the Saison which was light and delicious for a winter season. My boyfriend had the Grand Teton Imperial Stout which he said was balanced and not too heavy. They have board and card games handy which my boyfriend and I played a round of Scrabble while humming along to the radio(I did win that game btw– by 20+ points lol). I’m all for supporting local microbrews and this is a definitive win!

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the Incline Village /Tahoe North area. It’s very close to Diamond Peak ski resort. The tasting room itself is somewhat compact, though there are two rooms for seating. We tried several of the beers(plus one cider!), and played one of the board games. Beers run $ 5 – 6 for a pint, with most brewed in-house.

I guess Tahoe Water is to beer, what apparently NYC water is to bagels. It’s that local flavor that makes it extraordinary. Let me start by saying that this small brewery has the three things I love most: DOGS, BEER and GAMES. Also free wifi. About the dogs, this place is dog friendly. Well behaved dogs on leashes everywhere. When I went it was Golden Retriever-palooza. The beer. Seriously some of the BESTBEER I have had. They offer beers in 10oz, 16oz and 16oz glasses, as well as 32oz and 64oz growlers to go. Their talents lie with the sour, fruity beers(saissons, weisses and ciders, oh yeah, and good nitro stouts). I started with the taster of the Treiton cherry cider. Not too sweet, an easy drinking cider, that is just a touch tart. The sampler resulted in me ordering a 10 oz. My boyfriend ordered the light Raspberry Berlinweisser, also easy drinking and lightly tart. There is a side room with couches and we noted shelves of board games(scrabble, clue and cards against humanity is available behind the counter at the bar). They actually had a cribbage board with no deck of cards to go with it. So my boyfriend decides to run down to the local 7 – 11 so see if they had cards and I stayed at the bar with my doggie friends. Apparently, the state of Nevada is the hardest place on earth to find a deck of cards ironically, given the sheer amount of casinos. So in the meantime, in which he ran to about five different stores, I pounded another cider, and was halfway through another one. This is unusual for me since I am known as Sahar R.N. The nurser of all beverages and the slowest drinker this side of the Mississippi. This cider is very clearly easy drinking. Once we had our cards, we went to order a Nitro Porter(great coffee taste) and of course another cider. Although the cider has a 6.4% ABV(which I don’t consider to be much), it may have resulted in me being buzzed. I guess I was walking around shaking each dog’s paw and introducing myself, also I was using my iphone flashlight to illuminate mountains in the distance and insisting that was enough to guide the way for night skiing. I also lost at cribbage which is something sober Sahar does not do. All in all, I had a great time here, and I think this place is a great hang out apres ski(especially since there is no night skiing). I wished I loved locally to visit and get growler fills. If these guys started bottling and distributing their beers, I’d be the first one in line to stock up.

Tons of craft beers, brewed with fresh Tahoe water — how could we resist? Lots of Unilocalers mentioned flights & small tastings, but we didn’t see any beers offered in less than a glass-sized portion, so perhaps that’s a new policy. Either way, they had a great variety on tap: sours, IPAs, even kombucha and some craft sodas. No food available, but apparently some nights there’s a food truck outside(not when we were there). They did have some live music(mellow, cover songs) on the Saturday we were there. Chill scene, good for an off-the-beaten-path apres ski drink, and a must for any beer fanatics.

I like craft beer that is just beer. The flavors were interesting and the crowd a lot of fun, but I would have liked a straight IPA or Pilsner after a long day of Skiing. Summer time on the patio might change my review, check back.

Super clean, stylish hipster beer bar, yes they have a few wines and the cranberry cider was good but the beer is the star of the show and does not disappoint. Great vibe, place was busy and the atmosphere was terrific with a great local Tahoe feel. This is a not to miss stop.

Recommended by a local, some friends and I stopped by Alibi Ale Works on a Sunday evening about three months ago… A friend and I shared the tasters. We got 8, 4 ounce pours for around $ 13. All brews were very tasty and unique, with the porter and the gose being my favorites. After that I had to have a full pint of the porter on nitro it was just so good! My friends really enjoyed the Scotch ale fermented 100% with Brettanomyces and the selection of IPAs. The back patio is gorgeous at night and has plenty of seating. Beertenders are super friendly and will happily discuss the brewing process with you and their plans for expansion of the brewery. Hopefully I will have a chance to visit Alibi Ale Works again in the future!

Fun brewery in Incline Village off the lake-side of the main highway a few blocks. Loved the bartender — really friendly guy who liked to talk about craft beer and the local scene. Ten or twelve taps on line, the double IPA was my favorite. My favorite part was the samplers — four ounce pours for $ 2 each. I tried a liberal sample of every beer I was interested in all for $ 10. There’s no kitchen, but there is a great local take-out called T’s Mesquite Rotisserie as you drive in by the 7 – 11 down the street.

Awesome little brewery in Tahoe, great selection of craft beers and dog friendly! We were in Tahoe with our dog, and were searching for a restaurant that allows dogs for dinner. Stumbled upon this little gem, off the beaten path and apparently is rather new. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They don’t serve food, but have snacks for purchase. There was a food truck that had pizza and sushi for sale, and you were able to purchase and bring the food into the brewery to enjoy with your beers. We went on a Saturday night, and they had live music from 6−9pm outside. Perfect place to enjoy some craft beers and live music on a summer night in Tahoe. Smaller place and not super touristy in Incline Village. Highly recommend, especially if you have a dog! Dogs were allowed in the tap room, and outside in the patio. The staff offered treats and brought bowls of water to the dogs at the brewery. We will be back next time we are in Incline Village.

My husband and I just visited Alibi Ale and were not disappointed. The beer was tasty and the young men behind the bar were more than helpful! If you are in Lake Tahoe, this is a must do:) The only thing that would have improved it is if the food trucks were there on Sundays!

This is a nice little place in the middle of nowhere, along a back street. It was hard to spot from the road when it’s dark outside, but once you get outside the car you might hear the joyful laughter of its patrons. The atmosphere is rather contemporary, with tall wooden tables, board games, and very friendly staff. They offer a tasting of all their beers on tap, so if you’re unsure what to order, that is the way to go. Unfortunately, my taste in beer does not align with the current big and hoppy trend, and I could only go with one of their lighter beers. It seemed like everyone but me liked the India Red Ale though, so maybe that’s a must try? They don’t serve food, but there’s usually a food truck out back — when we were there it was some truck that served really great fusion Mexican American food. They even deliver the food to you while you settle down inside the pub. Definitely a great business model, as they can rotate the trucks whenever, keeping it fresh.
