I will try to give Indu’s another chance but the one time the hubs and I ventured here, it was a complete madhouse. After an hour of no service, we left and went to Koi down the way. There were three large parties at Indu’s that night(10+ people with kids) and no one even took our drink order. When a server came to ask us what we would like, we said it was our first time and asked about a few dishes – all of which he said were not available that night. That plus the wait were our cue to leave. The menu also seems to have an identity crisis – not sure if it’s Indian or Thai or Tibetan or what. I was really hoping for something authentic, but I guess we’ll have to wait another time to find out.

Curries are good though not very spicy. Mango Lassis are legit. Phở is just ok. Roast duck is passable. Service is not the friendliest. Overall not too bad of a place if you’re looking for Asian cuisine in these parts.

Everything was good. We had fried Vietnamese noodles, general chicken and house Phở. Super fast service!!! Would definitely eat here again.

Fast food service at a sit down restaurant. Hot and sour soup was good but the rest of the dishes were average.

I came in to have a bowl of soup and a beer on a cold night and was greeted with uncommon kindness. The food was flavorful and delicious, the beer was cold and fresh, and the service was excellent. On top of this, I foolishly left my debit card with my receipt and they sent it back to me in the mail within a week.

We ran into this place during our roundtrip for the lake, and the place happened to have the best rating in the area. It was located on a strip mall along the main road. It was decorated a bit strange with an emptied bar in the front, then a restaurant, we were the only ones there during lunch hour. The owner and staffs seem to be from Sri Lanka. This was probably the first time I have visited a restaurant from that region, and unfortunately, their Sir Lankan dishes were not available for order due to that particular chef not being there. We went with the other Asian dishes. We got some House Chow Fun and Phở. The chow fun was the neither wet or dry, not dry enough to call dry, not saucy enough to call wet. Flavor was a bit bland too. Any proper chef trained with Cantonese cuisine would not cook like that. Phở was not very good either, the broth was quite bland, and I do not think they used standard way to cook the broth, perhaps more like seasoning package with water prior to serving, then threw in steamed meat and phở noodles. I think Indu’s is one of those Asian places that try to widen their market base by including as much as Asian cuisine as possible on their menu, then calling themselves«Asian Fusion» restaurant, which is not what it supposed to mean. Maybe their Sri Lankan dishes that we never got to try was amazing, but for now, I would just consider them«jack of all trades, master of none». Service was just ok.

So nice to have hot soup after a chilly day in the snow! I love that their dishes have a lot of fresh vegetables in them. I was impressed given this is Incline Village and I didn’t expect good accessible Asian food here. Wor wonton soup is awesome as well the house chow fun.

The food is so so… had the steamed pot stickers, kinda of gummy and chewy… I had the BBQ pork noodle soup, the broth had a nice flavor but you could tell the noodles were cooked prior to use they were stuck Together… No vegetables in the soup they put iceberg lettuce on top not cabbage… no nutritional value here! They establishment was old and run down… our booth seats were worn and falling apart… Not a place I would visit again.

During MLK weekend, came to this restaurant twice for dinner because it was so good. First time it was around 5pm and we were seated immediately. Second time it was around 7pm and the restaurant was packed. The egg drop soup and hot and sour soup were both delicious and easily splittable among 6 people. The deep fried shrimp special still had the shrimp tails attached, which made it a little harder to eat. The happy family entrée had all sorts of seafood and meat mixed together. This was my favorite dish because it had so much variety. The owner is very kind and honest. The second time we came he told us our order would take awhile to arrive because there were so many orders ahead of ours. This is a family owned business and I would love to come back here.

Vegetarian soup with egg noodle was excellent. Tasty, healthy, and hearty. The lemongrass beef was tasty, even though the noodles seemed a little overcooked.

I walked in expecting nothing more than an average bowl of noodle soup to combat the cold weather; instead, I got a bowl of phở so good that I had to come back the very next day to have it again. Who would have thought… amazing phở in Tahoe? However, I wouldn’t recommend the curries. They should really consider including«phở» in their name rather than«curries.» Just saying.

Had the Sri Lanken house special– noodles which were great and really flavorful! the chicken it was served with wasn’t so good. My husband had the lemongrass chicken, which was also tasty. Nice service from the staff.

Came here because the menu says they have hotpot… well… not the traditional hotpot that I was expecting; all it was just giving you all the ingredients of a phở that usually costs $ 9.95, but to cook it yourself priced it for $ 29.95. The food was ok, but not worth the price; the portion was kind of small too. Service wasn’t good either; they seemed confused when bringing out the food and wasn’t very attentive although there were only 3 parties including us when we were there. Not a fan and will not be coming back.

I had the beef curry, which reminded me of Vietnamese curry– stewed beef was presented on the side, and the yellow curry had carrots, potatoes and onions. The Indu special noodles had lots of veggies and a curry taste. Cons: –Something I ate here didn’t settle well with my stomach half an hour later. –the booth seats were very worn. I almost didn’t want to sit out of fear that it was unsanitary(call me a germaphobe) –I wouldn’t pay $ 13 to eat this curry again. I also would find another way to spend $ 12 instead of ordering the Indu noodles. It’s a bit too pricey for what we get.

Random phở place in north lake tahoe Looking for a warm bowl of phở after a long day of snowboarding? This is the closest place! The Unilocal photos looked great so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately the place wasn’t really that great. There was a random bottle of opened beer left on the bar top, the menu had wayyy too many options(the curry and the phở I understand, but all the rest of the stuff probably shouldn’t be on the menu!), and for some reason the beer had no price on the menu. In terms of the phở itself, the broth was mild and had average flavor, and wasn’t that hot, so the beef and the bean sprouts didn’t cook that well when you dipped them. Overall the phở was not that great, even for someone who was Crazy Hungry and anything would have tasted amazing! My main recommendation to the owners of this place would be – just serve the phở in a hotter temperature. It costs next to nothing, is easy to do, and would make the phở a lot better, especially to folks who just finished snowboarding in the cold all day! Overall, would recommend going elsewhere instead of this place.

Very happy to find this home-cooking style place in Incline Village. At first we were very skeptical because the menu says«Sri Lankan, Chinese, and Vietnamese», so we didn’t feel this would be authentic in any kind of way. Since all the wait staff look Indian/Sri Lankan, we ordered — Veggie curry: came with one lentil and one potato curries and brown rice. Very simple and very delicious. — Indo’s special noodles: the chicken is a bit dry, but the noodles are amazing! It’s like Singaporean style fried rice noodles, seasoned with Indian spices. Overall we were very happy with our visit. The food is simple and tasty. I wouldn’t call it authentic, but it’s good fusion.
