Adam & Eve College of Cosmetology

What does a girl like me do when a special event comes up? Well, because I am lacking in beauty skills, I go have my updo’s and make-​up done for me. I cringe at the cost though so when possible, I’ll hit up a cosmetology college or beauty school. They usually have young techs with an eye for trend, older teachers who can do ‘traditional’ styles well and great great prices.
Last month I was home for my best friends wedding and I looked up Adam & Eve beauty school on Unilocal.I called an set-​up an appt for an updo… was going to get my make-​up done too but, I opted for Mac instead because this school is pretty simple and didn’t have make-​up supplies (read: I would have had to bring my own for application).
My updo… I told them I wanted a retro updo and… I kinda got it. The problem was, by the time they were done, my hair was so stiff, it felt like it was plastic. That’s just not me. I ended up taking it down only shortly into the reception and was much happier when I relaxed their style. However, their curls did last all night and my altered version looked good.
I’d go back as it only cost $ 15 for an updo. However, next time, I’ll know to tell them light on the products and explain my natural preferences more. :)
Honestly, I’m so bad at my own hair that if I had a beauty college close, I’d go to have my hair done for simple nights out! They also do cheap hair cuts.
