All I can say is do not move to any of their apartments. They half fix stuff, don’t care and all they want is money. They don’t have good judgement on who or what they move in. Loud parties from unruly neighbors and drunks laying on steps to the building. People do not stay long because of bad neighbors and the rent payment system is backwards and if there is a problem with their system they will charge you extra and expect you to pay when it wasn’t your fault.

I can’t even begin to describe how much I despise this place. I live in Oak Tree Manor in Lakewood. This weekend past weekend marked a year since we moved in, and I can’t wait until we move out in July. Because a year ago, it rained, and we noticed the window was leaking extensively. IT’S STILLLEAKING. A year later. It has ruined the varnish on a vintage record player and several graphic novels. Also attracted pissants into the apartment. Spiders are rampant in the windows, which are horrible. In the winter, there was a cold zone almost two feet away from the windows. I can’t imagine how much our A/C goes to waste. Which, btw, also hasn’t worked properly since we moved in. First, the filter was replaced, and it had two inches of black crud STANDINGOFFIT. It still froze up, and continued until they put new Freon in it. That didn’t help. Now, the fuse keeps blowing and it’s taking us at least four calls to get anything done. It’s so hot in the apartment both my roommate and I struggle to breathe. The fridge wasn’t replaced until it completely stopped working, causing a food loss of about 100 dollars when all was said and done. When we asked to be reimbursed for any damage, they told us to file it through our insurance. We didn’t because the 100 dollar loss wasn’t worth our rates going up. They never plowed during the weekend, and after the heavy snow, my car got stuck three times just trying to find a parking spot. I also slid and fell several times. The laundry is a joke. Never in the year we’ve lived here have even a majority of the units worked. We’ve lost several dollars because the machines either eat them or don’t work properly. The only good thing I can say is they have a pest guy that is very personable and does a sweep every six weeks. The maintenance crew is always friendly and tries to do anything they can for you. The root of all these issues is the management, which is just horrible. Again, the people in the office are nice, but how issues are handled is ridiculously bad. I have never, in the three apartments I’ve lived in and the college dorms I lived in for three years, have ever had to make so many maintenance calls. I wish I had the time, energy and funds to call the city and report these people. Because they are just begging for lawsuits. Whatever you do, please, take heed the one star reviews for this place. I’m an easy going person, and these people make me want to pull my hair out. There are more issues, but I can’t remember all of them.
