Brooks and Terry’s Espresso

This is what a great coffee shop looks like! I’m such a fan of this place, whenever I’m in town I make sure to stop here at least 2 – 3 times. They have wonderful drinks and tons of variety. The service is so fast, friendly, and on-​spot. The drinks are made for satisfaction, I’ve only had to take one back once and was quickly given a free stamp card and a re-​made drink. That’s impressive. This place is truly a local gem. I always look forward to getting my coffee fix here and have yet to find any place like it– and I’ve lived in quite a few places. The owners are lovely people and treat their customers and employees right and I think it shows in the quality of service and drinks. Can’t wait till I’m back in town and can get my cherry almond joy again:) Thanks for the great coffee!

I really enjoy this place! Ran into an awful and very rude employee one morning though. Hope the owners do something about her but all in all, great coffee place!

I always go there, coffee is always great no matter what location. The workers are friendly and it’s nice that this place hires local.

I’ve never had their coffee but it’s always busy.
I drive by The one on main st Monday through Friday and always see cars in the parking lot getting coffee.

Brooks and Terry’s is the actual names of the owners of these quaint little coffee shops. They have two in Independence, one in Roth’s parking lot and the other on the outer edge of downtown, right off main st. They also have one in Monmouth in the Bi-​mart parking lot, plus one in Dallas in the Safeway parking lot. They make some of the best coffee’s I’ve had from any shop, in fact I like them better then Starbucks or Dutch bros.
Brook and Terry work in their shops. Plus, they hire local young school kids. Which I think is a special trait and I admire them for that.
After you’ve been to one certain shop a few times they recognize you and know what you like and how you want it made. Their drinks are always perfect, if its not the way you like for some rare reason, they will replace it with one you do like. But this has only happened to me once when a new hire was still learning.
They have a great little business and make everyone of their customers feel like they matter to them. I tell all my friends about them and how great their coffee’s are. When we have out of town family members visit, we always treat them to the joy of our local little coffee heaven right here in our town.
One of our Daughter-​in-​laws came to visit in June. She is a Starbucks devoted fan. We took her to Brooks and Terry’s to try it, she had heard us talk about how great they were over the years. Now she could try them and see what she thought. She said that she would try them but couldn’t see how they could be better then her fav. After she drank it down, she too said though she still was a fan of her fav she truly enjoyed our shop and would be back to enjoy them each time she was in town. She really gave them a thumbs up for their friendly service saying most Starbucks workers were rude or obnoxious, Our shop really was #1 in that area and some very good coffee to boot… Go Brooks and Terry’s!!!
Try them if you haven’t had the chance, I promise you’ll be back again and again.
