Sauce Alito’s Pizzeria

Whoever tried this place when it first opened, and didn’t like it, will be pleasantly surprised. They stepped their game up, and the food is good. They keep pushing to better improve their products. I recommend giving this place a second chance. First timers will be surprised at the quality of food and customer service.

I found a Groupon for this place and since it’s very close to our house, I purchased it so my family could try it. I checked out their website, which boasts about their sauce and this had me very excited.
When we got to the restaurant it was pretty much empty with the exception of one customer, the owner, a waitress, and who I assumed to be the owners wife. Everyone was very nice. The waitress didn’t have any other customers so it felt like she hovered a bit.
We ordered the pizza rolls as an appetizer, the bacon cheeseburger pizza, a small sausage pizza and the spaghetti and meatballs.
The pizza rolls were pretty good, but they brought them out with Rold Gold tomato sauce for dipping. This had me a little uneasy because they boast about their sauce.
The bacon cheeseburger pizza came out and looked pretty good. The bottom was a bit dark, but nothing too bad. Unfortunately the pizza didn’t have much taste.
The spaghetti and meatballs looked very good. The sauce looked thick and chunky and had bits of melted cheese sprinkled on top. Unfortunately, the pasta was overcooked and the sauce was flavorless. The best part of the meal was the garlic bread sticks. I don’t have a lot of faith in the freshness of anything at this place after seeing the Rold Gold sauce.
To sum it up, we won’t go back. I doubt that I would even go back for beers at the bar. This location has a hard time keeping restaurants, but taking shortcuts won’t help.

Very well staffed, everyone was super friendly from the moment I stepped in until I walked out the door. Speed of service was up to par, ordered a hoagie which took less than 10 min to come out and they kept my beer full. The only reason I can’t give 5-​stars would be because of the quality of food. A quick look into the kitchen and you can see that everything is canned and/​or frozen. The staff mentioned that they did want it honest opinion on it so it’s not like they’re ignoring their customers. I think with some time they can become a local best kept secret.

Ordered cheese fries «breadsticks w/​cheese» and pizza rolls, it was ready in 10 minutes and tasted great. The owners were very friendly too.

The two men working when I walked in were very nice and friendly. They gave my daughter some crayons and a piece of paper while we waited for our order. They made a really good ½ cheese ½ pepperoni pizza. Price was decent. Will definitely be back to experience a game night!

We decided to try this place since it is convenient to where we live. We ordered our usual: medium mushroom pizza.
I found it to be disgusting. The pizza consists mostly of dough and very little topping. The sauce was unremarkable, the cheese was ok but sparse, and the mushrooms were out of a can. I can’t stand the taste of canned or jarred mushrooms.
I understand that they are trying to save money and offer a medium pizza at a certain price point, but Little Caesars pizza is only $ 5 and at least twice as good as this pizza which cost is $ 8.
I will continue to get Larosa’s delivery as they seem to be the best locally available.
