I was not aware of Torrid until I moved to KCMO, but I investigated it after a friend talked about it. I visited the Independence location before the holidays and found far too many cute clothes. It’s really difficult to find cute, contemporary and still youthful clothes when you have curves, so this is a big deal. The store was small, but there were sales and bargains everywhere. This month, a new store opened at Zona Rosa and I was not disappointed. Friendly staff, cute clothes, good sales. win!

So I’m not usually a big fan of reviewing chains. However, when I get phenomenal service somewhere, I think it’s worth sitting down and crafting a review. Granted, I’ve always been a fan of Torrid’s clothes but finding something can often be hit or miss for me. As I have to find the line between fun and professional for work. However, having woken up this morning, realizing I have NO Summer clothes, I hit Torrid on a mission! Not only do they have a plethora of cute clothes for a curvy girl(that would be me) but the service was great. The sales girl went out of her way to help me find some fun pieces and even dig through the dreaded mess that is a clearance rack! Now that’s something I don’t always have the patience for on my own, so it’s very much appreciated. 3 dresses, 1 Shirt, 1 pair of shorts and a very cute tank top all for less than $ 150. Seriously, where else will someone help you score a deal over going for the upsell! Great service, so much so that I definitely be back even though Independence is a bit out of my way for a shopping spree!
