Decent sushi but there are a lot better places close by. The environment was trendy and cool, but you pay through the nose for it.

Liked the gyoza and roles. Service was excellent. Prices are reasonable. Facility is good for children. Ever since Daniel left Kiku we have been looking for a good sushi place, and we finally found it. We will be back.

Good restaurant for sushi and various other non-sushi entrees. A couple good vegetarian rolls but not a vast offering. Atmosphere is nice though slightly cavernous. Service is not especially speedy and sushi takes a while to come out, or they’d get a five. I order from there often when over at Crabby Bill’s next door watching a band — they don’t mind if you bring it over since Crabbys owns IRB Sushi. It’s a far better option for vegetarians who need something more than the slim options at Crabbys.

The sushi was amazing so was the service. The food came out quickly, it tasted very fresh and we will definitely come back again.

I had a chance to stop by the other night and went with the lobster roll and spicy tuna. The service was great and my food came fast and fresh… The lobster roll had a very nice contrast between the warm tempura and the ice cold lobster. I really enjoyed as well as the the lady at the front kept checking to ensure I was enjoying everything. I also got fried rice to go for a snack later … I was say that it wasn’t as impressive as the sushi, large onion slices were not really my thing. I will got back and try other rolls for sure.

Coming from Hawaii, we can be very picky about our sushi. IRB Sushi was no disappointment. The service was fantastic. They gave us great recommendations when we asked them. Great variety for those that love raw fish and those that don’t. Drinks were great and dessert was the perfect ending to the meal. The price was very reasonable too. I highly recommend IRB Sushi and will be eating there again whenever I make my way back to Indian Rocks Beach.

#ourshorelife took ourselves to IRB Sushi for a Saturday evening family feast. We tried the Miso soup(good) Jalapeño Popper and California Rolls, and Lemongrass Curry bowl. Worth the wait! Ask for Mia and try the hit Saki. The dessert chocolate cake put our son in orbit! We will be back!

I love sushi, and this place was close to our hotel so we decided to check it out. While this is not the best sushi place I have gone to, the rolls were good and fresh and the service was good. To me, they had some very simple rolls but for people who aren’t serious sushi fans, or people who are and go with people who aren’t, it is a good option. They do have non-sushi items too like noodle bowls so again, that is good for people who don’t eat sushi. They also have some good specials that you can share with at least one or more people.

Went out with 3 friends on vacation. We all got Pad Thai and it tasted like Willy Wonka’s grandmother made it. Seriously, like candy. None of us finished our bowls, it was really a disappointment for the price. Very odd taste… even if you are into candied chicken/pasta dishes. We also got some rolls which were sub-par and bland compared to other sushi I have had across the country.

We went here for a dinner with family, there were eight of us and we all had a great time. The hostess was really nice and friendly when she greeted us. I thought the sushi special rolls, and also the sushi we ordered were pretty good. The fried rice seemed to be well liked by everyone too. I thought the sesame noodles were a little sweet, personally not a big fan of them. While we were eating the manager or owner came over to make sure everything was ok with our meal. I thought it was thoughtful that he actually checked with us. You really don’t get that too much anymore. All in all I would say we had a very pleasant meal and overall enjoyable time here. The cold Sake was not to shabby either.

The sushi was pretty good. Prices also were reasonable for the amount of sushi and the quality. I enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere is very laid back in comparison to many sushi restaurants. Service was alright; it could have been better.

The service was great! Sushi came before I finished my beer, and we ordered 4 rolls! Fish could have been fresher. And I wish there were more uncooked options. The sushi was good but not mind blowing.

After being contacted by a manager for my first review of incredibly awful service I was sent a $ 50 paper«gift card» with the bottom having a partially attached email. I was actually very pleased to receive this and I thought(as a food service manager myself,) «Awesome, we will try again! What a great guy.» We went to IRB Sushi for another shot a few days ago and before we ordered food I presented the certificate to avoid any difficulties for the server or hostess. And guess what? Yet again we instantly got awful service and they were questioning if the paper was even real! I believe it was from a manager named Matt L. I originally appreciated his kindness and eagerness to get as back as guests for both dine in and takeout but his staff has clearly shut us down for the hundredth time. Glad we traveled the 15 miles for a whole lot of nothing.

As a sushi lover I can not recommend this establishment. The fish was freshish I’ll say. Everything was ok that I ordered. Tom Tom roll was recommended so I tried it. Blah. Sushi I had yellowtail which is normally my favorite and if your a fan you know that it can have a pinkish tint to it when it’s really good– this was pure white and almost a cream color– the flavor was still ok but it was not fresh. I also had the smoked salmon which was fine and the tuna which normally melts in your mouth — no melting here. Great location but the sushi is no where near as good as sushi spot or others in the area. I live near by so it’s disappointing that this place can not put out a good product as I would be a regular due to the location. This was my second try here thinking my first visit here may have been an off night, however tonight just confirmed that they do no have good sushi here. Sad to report

I love sushi! A lot! This place… not so much! Was very dissapointed! Will never go there again, i ordered lobster roll, Savannah roll and sesame noodles… the rolls tasted weird to me… dont know why and the sesame noodles were nasty! Also they have no AC in the restaurant it was soooo hot in there, everyone was sweating…

My experience was fine. My wife and I sat at the sushi bar. Our server was friendly and attentive. The sushi chef helped me avoid anything that might aggravate my celiac issues. The sushi was fresh, the right temp, and well made. The seaweed salad trio was also quite good. I loved that they were able to give us tobiko rolls with quail eggs. I have no complaints. It was a little bit more expensive than I assumed, but I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.

This place is average at best, the décor atmosphere, and service were the only good things. The sushi was very plain and bland and expensive for what you actually receive. The ginger and wasabi was dried out and could tell it had been sitting out, my boyfriend is about to throw up. We will not return.

IRB Sushi has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and wonderful food. Our group had two orders of the crab ragoon as an appetizer, which tasted great with the red sauce. We each had the chicken or shrimp fried rice. This was by far some of the best fried rice I’ve ever eaten. It was full of perfectly cooked vegetables and chicken pieces. We also ordered the IRB roll, the California roll, and the spider roll. The California roll was on par with any other California roll. I really liked the IRB. It had fried grouper and fresh tuna. Delicious! The spider roll had a peculiar taste, but wasn’t bad. Overall, a great place to go if you are in IRB! Highly recommended!

Hanging out at the sushi @ IRB’s with my wife and the sushi artist Kong. He is amazing at his craft I hope IRB takes good care of him. Remember to always tip your sushi chef. They strive for that perfect presentation every time. I am never disappointed. I also ask that Kong always prepares my sushi. Hate to brag but this place is that good.

I’m new to the area and am so used to my go-to spots where I’m from so trying to find my new favorites here is a fun journey. This was the first sushi I have had in the area and I was pretty impressed. I only got two rolls for take out and they were both good. The eel cucumber was delicious and super fresh. I also got the spicy tuna roll which was good but not at all spicy. It was also very fresh but I probably wouldn’t order again. The prices are excellent, eel cucumber @ $ 4.95 and spicy tuna was $ 5.95 and had 8 pieces. Will definitely be going here again and trying new things.
