This is a nice Irish themed pub with the requisite stew, fish & chips, Guinness, Harp & Smithwick’s. Very pleasant outdoor dining without a lot of traffic(vehicle or pedestrian). Fish fry(small) is very satisfying though pepper sauce selection is limited. Big(steak?) fries are good enough, as is the slaw. I’m not ‘wowed’ by much here so can’t rate it higher — but it delivers a decent meal at a fairly reasonable price in a pleasing atmosphere with attentive and efficient servers.

This is my girlfriends and I favorite place to grab a beer at their bar. However, bartenders can be a bit pushy. There’s a younger guy who was very persistent. Asking us what we wanted to drink, eat, shots, anything else, it appeared to be a little much. I even told him that my girlfriend and I would be here for a while, we were trying to enjoy some conversation and a few beers. I will obviously be back but the bartenders could be a bit more laid-back especially when we are drinking customers :-)

What a great place! The food was wonderful. Open late and when we came in late they were glad to serve us. We had fish & chips, the Corned Beef and Irish Breakfast(bangers, Rasher, b&w, eggs and bread). It was all done superb.

Food was fantastic! I highly recommend the goat cheese salad. Service was just ok considering the place was empty.

Great atmosphere on St Paddys Day! Our waitress Savannah was great — ESPECIALLY for how busy it was! Was super impressed with how quickly we got our food and drinks. Super!

Do you ever just really crave fish & chips? Maybe it is just me, but this has to be one of the few fried things I just want every once and a while. One of my favorite places to get this is the Claddagh, mostly because of convenience, good service and price. This location is near where I work, but there is also one out on the West side where I live, yay! A couple of girlfriends and I recently went here for a drink and a meal on a week night, no problems getting a table and we were greeted promptly. First, let me just say our server was delightful, talkative, funny, energetic, knowledgeable, it doesn’t get much better than that. The fish and chips and the Moscow mule I got both hit the spot and we were able to talk and eat at our own pace, I never felt rushed even when we lingered. I am pretty sure the server ended up leaving, I am glad he simply took the checks and didn’t make us feel like we had to leave. I will say though, had he asked, he would have probably got another round of drinks out of us! His loss on tip, I guess. I believe Claddagh has a special on Mondays buy one get one free fish & chips, which is awesome. They have a good variety of other Irish type of foods, and some non-Irish options for those looking for it.

You know, it’s decent. The food is decent, the service is decent, the décor is decent. But, there’s nothing that really makes it stand out, at least to me. It attempts to capture the spirit of Ireland, but, in the end, you know you’re in a corporate chain bar/restaurant and I just can’t shake that feeling. There’s no depth, no personality, no charm To me, it’s all just cookie cutter. Do I DISlike it? No, of course not, It’ll just never be my first choice.

Service Good, Food-terrible I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich. I have no problem with a deep fried version of this sandwich but for the fact that this one was 90% grease-soaked breading. It was much more carnival pastry than a sandwich. The GF ordered the Caprese sandwich. Hers was also very soggy/greasy. Neither of us was able to finish more than half the sandwich. Neither of us wanted to carry out the leftovers either-yuk.

I’m always a big fan of a good Guinness and the fish and chips. The beer is always served the proper way and settles perfectly. The fish and chips are probably one of the best in Indy. The location is perfect for all of our friends to get to from Indy, Carmel and Fishers.

Charged $ 3 more for a kids meal. Nice to be punished because I physically cannot eat as much food as others. Why is there an up charge? Way to support bariatric patients and those trying to eat healthy and be conscious of their food intake. Nice business practices, charge more for less food… Good job Claddagh! Here for a business lunch, I won’t be back.

When it comes to Irish pubs, we’re tough customers since we always compare everything to our favorite, JK O’Donnell’s. The Claddagh is no JK’s, but it’s a perfectly good alternative. The Fish & Chips was surprisingly good, and overall ambience was decent. I’m not going to go into great detail on this one, since I can basically summarize everything by saying that this is a reasonable«Americanized» Irish pub/restaurant, and leave it at that.

VERY Poor customer service. The sign outside advertised the beer discounts and kids eat free. The place barely had anyone there and we had the worst service ever. We ordered a second drink, the server said OK… nothing. My sins meal was messed up . The bill came with the kids meals on them and he ran the wrong ticket on the wrong credit card… twice…no apology just apathy … The manager was just as bad, only excuses and told us that«well to get the kids dinners free he needed a managers approval» soooooo was it a trick to see if we noticed they didn’t give us their advertised special? Will not go back… Ever… I eat out 4 – 7 times a week and this will not be one of the places we go

Good food, good drinks, love the live music. This is always a good choice out with friends. We went for a late night dinner after seeing they were open to 10. I got the stuffed pork chop and really liked it. I am glad I went away from the normal fish and chips to try something new. It was cooked well and the stuffing with sun dried tomatoes was an excellent touch. They also have a late night menu, but we were able to order from the regular menu. The late night one had some really good choices as well. But the kitchen was very accomidating.

We used to come here often when our friend played music there on Friday nights, but it’s been awhile. It was actually almost 9 on a Sunday when we got there so they were pretty dead. The bar had some people, but it was only one other actual table eating. Turns out they switch to more a late night menu and we had been given regular menus. Our waiter gave us the menu and it was mostly appetizer and sandwiches. We were fine to switch to order from it, but then the kitchen said they would make whatever we wanted. I was glad that they offered to do this since they didn’t have to at all. The Monte cristo sounded good, but I really enjoyed my Gaelic Chicken. The sauce on it was amazing. I think it said it was cooked with Irish whiskey. The zucchini and squash it came with were steamed and really fresh tasting. My husband also enjoyed his stuffed pork chop.

Sunday night there iare some good specials on drinks and also a kids eat free with adult entrée. We had the chocolaty stout pint that was really good. Fish and chips are a classic and really delicious. One of our sides was the sausage roll of 3 big pieces and it was more of a puff pastry with sausage inside and tasted awesome. The stew my hubby got was pretty good but tonight it was a bit tougher than normal so the manager took care of it immediately. Great service all around and we will definitely be back.

Claddah’s is in a good location, has a great atmosphere and even private rooms for social events, but the food leave much to be desired. I enjoyed an after work event recently and couldn’t force myself to touch the ‘appetizers’ that were offered to us. The entire spread looked like a T.G.I.Friday’s exploded all over the table. Show me a heaping corned beef sandwich or signature fare, and & I’ll consider frequenting more often. I’ll pass on the annual Green Beer for St. Patty’s day.

I have to hand it to this Claddaugh location for a couple of reasons: 1.) friendly staff 2.) spacious side room that is feast for private events like the painting class I attended recently 3.) Unilocal check in offer on an Irish coffee? Sign me up! 4.) the hot scotch coffee/liquor combo was mighty delicious! Sayyyy what? There’s alcohol in this? :)

Enjoyed the Fish and Chips, generous crispy piece of fish on bed of thick-sliced fries and a side of coleslaw. Very authentic. On Monday, they have a two-for-one fish and chips special. The service was very prompt and friendly. I really liked the atmosphere, but wished they had a roaring fire going in that cozy fireplace, in the center of the dining room! We also shared a dessert of bread pudding, which was a wonderful surprise. Moist, with raisins and a nice hard sauce with a drizzle of caramel. We will return.

Ta’ an bia sobhlasta! I totally Googled that… but this food is delicious! I’ve been here a few times now and feel confident that I can give a good review. I’m being honest when I say that each time I go, I order the fish sandwich… so sue me! How can you not order fish and chips? The fish here is unbelievable… probably what they’re known for the most and quite deservedly so. Something I didn’t expect is how great their desserts are! This is a great place for a work lunch, a girls night, or a date night. Great food, great atmosphere, and the staff is warm. I’ve never come here to drink yet, alarming I know… but I’ve been here a lot for work meetings and afterwards I find it hard to go back to work as I always seem to put myself in a delicious Irish food coma. I need to go drinking here as I’m sure it’d be a whale of a time! :)

A solid option — decent food, friendly service, old-timey atmosphere(surprisingly quiet due to the area divided into multitude of individual rooms an corners Irish pub-style), wide range of beer choices, including local and Irish. After a long Saturday, we got in right away with kids who were too tired to wait for busier places. Sun King and piping hot Fish and chips and the house salad hit the spot for a cold night. The hostess was pleasant and attentive. We thawed out and enjoyed the dinner between the stained glass windows and artificial flowers placed around the place. However, the foodie in me slept through this pleasant night. Same fish and chips as 10 years ago, same feel, nothing to write home(or Unilocal) about.

Came in to grab some food and listen to live music. We overheard the hostess cut down the live music and mention that«this is why Friday’s and Saturdays are bad here because the music is too loud.» The music is clearly not loud as I can hear a table of cackling old women across the bar being louder. This seems not only bad for business at the Claddagh but cuts down the musician as well. Live music adds to the dining experience and overall ambience of the evening. I am very disappointed with what we overheard in my visit here, and would only come back for the music, not the rude wait staff.

It’s never a good sign if you’re still dealing with a restaurant mistake a week later. Mistakes happen. I get that. I tell my people at work all the time. It’s not about whether mistakes happen — they will, we’re human. It’s about how they’re handled. Unfortunately, we’re on the side of a poorly handled mistake here. And it’s very much ended our Claddagh interest. Husband and I ordered two Jameson burgers and a car bomb cheesecake for carry-out. The distance required for travel is not that great, which is key for carry-out. When Husband arrived home we could not have been more sad. In years of Jameson burger eating we had never received something so grotesque and indelible. Both we just hockey pucks devoid of cheese and onion straws. We called up the store and requested a refund for the burgers. I might note here that Husband and I feel very strongly against receiving compensation beyond a return of our money in the event a mistake like this happens. A refund and apology works fine. Oh, and if we’ve had more than a bite or two, we don’t want a refund either. Husband hopped in the car and returned the horrific mistakes to the store sans the one bite taken(which could not be swallowed). The manager apologized for the incredibly embarrassing burgers and assured the charge would be adjusted. Problem solved, right? No harm, no foul. We got burgers from another place and moved on with our day. Unfortunately, the charges were never adjusted. We sit here a week later forced to resolve the issue via the Amex dispute department rather than Claddagh handling the mistake. It’s unfortunate. But has most likely ended our relationship with this place.

I am very sad to have to give two stars to what was once one of my favorite restaurants. My last experience was very difficult. It was St. Patrick’s day weekend and it was Kilt Night, but it was nowhere near as crowded as I have seen it before. The wait for seating was not bad, but once seated it went downhill. Bar service was very slow, which is forgivable on that weekend. The service at the table was terrible — our food was brought out by a runner and we did not get silverware/napkins until it had been on the table for 5 minutes. How does that even happen? It went downhill from there. The entire restaurant needs to have some maintenance on it. The black walls are chipped and dirty, the front door handle was loose, the chairs were barely holding together, and things are just looking tired and worn out. I’d really like to see this place spiffed up and maybe have the servers care.
