No longer carry anthing Chicago Bears in the store. Guess I will be getting Christmas gifts someplace else this year.

After stopping in to DXL tonight to pick up some new business casual clothes, all I can say is that my shopping experience there was by far the easiest I have ever had. I was new to the store, so Amanda give me a tour around(awesome layout with a lot of selection), got some quick measurements, and within probably 10 minutes had made several recommendations based on my size for both pants and shirts in several different brands. I tried them all on and some did not fit just because of the cut or shape, but a number of things fit very well. Another nice extra was that none of the clothes had to be altered in any way! Usually I almost always have to buy one size up and have a tailor cut some here and there to make it fit well. Unfortunately I got to the store with only about an hour to spare, but they had a few other customers stay a bit past closing time so I was able to finish up a little more of my shopping list(yay, finally got a winter coat!). I still have to go back tomorrow to knock out the rest of the list. I am definitely looking forward to going back and spending a little more time in there.

I get many items here for my husband since the selection is great for him! My husband is 6’9″ so finding clothes is not exactly easy. The service here is fantastic, always greeted and given the help I would expect given the price point. I also can appreciate the new floor layout compared to the old Casual Male XL since it’s very roomy with space that looks like it’s meant to serve the ‘big and tall’ guy. My only drawbacks is that while they have very nice high-quality items, I wish occasional sales could be stronger. Just because you are tall does not mean you can afford prices to match the height. They do offer the more fiscally conservative Harbor Bay store-based brand, but if you are super tall(like my personal giant) you run the risk of the clothes shrinking easily. So that mixed with price is really my main reason for losing a star. On the plus side, Nautica is sold here and I’ve been directed to purchase that brand when necessary since it’s plentiful in length of the tall dude and doesn’t shrink. Now if only one could open on closer to the west side of town…
