The salesman was very knowledgeable about the different brands and types of mattresses. He was able to help my boyfriend and I select a mattress that was a combination of firm and plush! They honor military discounts and stacked it with the in store incentives! The delivery went smooth and I have slept like a baby ever since!

The deal with the Mattress Firm seems to be that the mattress prices are enormously inflated, and you’re expected to haggle with the sales staff to get the prices down to the same level as the nearby furnture and department stores. It’s a wildly unattractive store — just mattresses set up under some harsh fluorescent lighting — and something feels slightly sketchy about the place. Not saying that it is sketchy — I’d just prefer to shop at a store where a saleperson says, «Here’s the cost of the mattress.»
