This is actually a Party City now.
I came here a few times to get decorations and supplies for a bachelorette party. They had pretty much everything I could want decoration and supply-​wise. I liked the selection of tableware and hanging paper lanterns.
I got some balloons here, and it seemed like a bit of a rip off. They charge you to buy the balloons, then fill them, then fill them with «special gas» if you want them to last more than a few hours, and then to cover them. It was raining and I asked that my balloons be covered and they told me I needed to buy a «balloon bag». No thanks.
This place doesn’t seem that busy, but every time I went to check out, I stood in line for a long time. The cashiers are not very fast, and don’t seem bothered that 4 or 5 customers are lining up waiting.
All in all: pretty good selection, pricey balloons, and slow customer service

Okay, so maybe this is a chain – a chain I’ve never seen before. But it’s definitely in a different league than Party City, to me.
First of all, where else can you find cards for $.49? And gift bags for $ 1? This is absolutely amazing to me.
On to the party favors aspect, you can find anything you need for a bash, usually cheaper than anywhere else. Plus wigs and costumes for Halloween, right now.
Something else I’ll definitely be back for: The nuts. Seriously, they had all kinds of Fisher’s Nuts for $ 1! And mixed nuts for like $ 3!
