Just like home! The management is great. The staff is great. To the people that are complaining about wait times, honestly don’t know what this is. THEMOSTSOUGHTOUTPIZZAINTHEWORLD. So be patient for greatness. As a Chicago native, I am so glad that this pizza is finally down here!

Great Pizza! This is a small place that serves BIG pizza. We had no issues and got a table quickly. We had excellent service and since we were there with friends the 45 minute wait for the pizza flew by. They offer some tasty appetizers and had some good looking beers on the menu. We sat in the bar area in a nice large booth. I would for sure go back. But plan wisely, go at an off time or be prepared to wait. Leaving right at the typical dinner time and the place was wall to wall people. It was so crowded. I am glad we went early.

You know… it’s Chicago deep dish(what they call stuffed) and it’s mighty good. Here are a few things to know: –You can call ahead and get your name in on the list –You can order a stuffed pie in advance of being seated(they take 45 min to make, so this makes your time at the table a bit shorter… just waiting for that delicious pizza to make it’s way to your table –You can order out. both frozen and cooked They have a few beers on draft, some are even local. The lunch specials look fantastic, but I have yet to go during the lunch hour. A new location is opening in 2016 downtown, so that might be my chance to go eat at lunch! This place has been open for almost a year and they still have long waits. It’s not a huge place and wish it were a bit larger.

We ate dinner at Giordano’s for the first time on Jan. 6, 2016. Fortunately we did not have to wait for seating even though we arrived around 5:30 pm. We ordered a simple stuffed pizza with onion and pineapple. We were advised it would take @45 minutes for the pizza(which we already knew in advance) and so ordered some of their garlic bread appetizer. The pizza arrived in about 40 minutes. We were not that impressed with the pizza, in spite of its high cost close to $ 25 for a large 16″ the quality was not what we expected. The pizza was not that hot on temperature, and it was rather bland in taste. There seemed to not be much seasoning in the pizza sauce, and even after adding seasonings from the table it was still rather bland. We expected more given the price and advertising. The crust was over done and hard. To be honest we have had better quality and flavored pizza at other less expensive chain restaurants. We probably will not go back to Giordano’s, especially given the prices and time factor, as well as a lesser quality of taste.

We stumbled upon this place in Orlando, FL on vacation and saw just recently that it opened here in Indy. If you handle the 45 minute wait for the freshly cooked deep dish pizza it’s the best you’ll ever have!

We’ve been wanting to check out this pizza since they opened last year, but knew how crazy busy they were so we just kept putting it off. Finally we decided we had stayed away too long and chose this for an early dinner double date with my good friend and her husband. I was honestly a little worried after some of the reviews, but deep dishy cheesy pizza really was calling to me. We chose to go at 4pm to miss the lunch and dinner rush and this may have been the key. I arrived at 5 till 4 and immediately got seated at a nice large booth in the bar. This location is very small. I also think it has a very poor layout. It is basically a L shape. One long line of booths straight when you walk in then a pop out for the bar area. They really need more space. We ordered our drinks and bruschetta appetizer right after we set down. We had 2 waiters and they were both constantly at our table when we needed our drinks filled. We never had to ask. One may have been training. I was too busy talking to my friend to remember. The main waitress told us about the pizzas and said we could do half and half, which was perfect for the 4 of us. We got the large deep dish with all the meats on one half and the other half was the Chicago. We were told it would take 45 minutes to bake our pizza and I am sure it took every bit of that, but no longer as we were eating by 5. I really enjoyed my pizza. I ate 2 slices of the Chicago. It had the perfect amount of toppings and was filled with yummy cheese. We ended up with 2 slices leftover. Our appetizer was also the perfect size I thought for the 4 of us. I was starving when we got there, but didn’t want be too full for pizza. When we left about 5:45 the place was packed! It was pouring raining outside so everyone had to wait inside. It was just so crowded and almost hard to get to the door to leave. I didn’t even realize it had gotten busy since we were hidden away at our booth. I know everyone at our table was happy with the food and our service. I think you just need to plan around this hugely popular pizza place. Go a little before dinner or after lunch and I think you will be fine. We had zero issues, but I can see having a different experience if we had to wait an hour or more for a table and then an 45 minutes to hour for our pizza. But with us getting there at the perfect not as busy time we had a great experience. We will for sure be back.

My boyfriend and I have already been to this location twice. Service was great the first visit, however it wasn’t very busy that day. The lunch combo with the pizza and the parmesan garlic fries were delicious. Second visit, I got the same thing. However, service was kind of spotty. It was very busy that day and I know there were only two servers, but I noticed she started bussing tables even when there was another table ahead of us waiting on her to serve them. We had about a 15 minute wait before she even got our drink orders. If it were me, I’d start getting orders in before bussing. And she forgot my sweetener for my tea until I reminded her twice. Overall, food was great. Hopefully the next time we go it won’t be as hectic and busy.

I LOVETHEIRDEEPDISHPIZZASOMUCH. I just wish i didn’t have to wait so long. I got there at 230ish and didn’t get my food until 4:(didn’t leave until 5. Just wish i didn’t feel like i wasted most of my day waiting for food. Waited for almost 2 hours just to eat 1 or 2 slices that took about 20 minutes. The pizza is soo good though:(

Took the husband here for his birthday dinner at his request. He is a big fan of deep dish pizza. We were properly advised that there would be a wait to cook the pizza. The service on a week night was very good and no wait to be seated. The atmosphere is casual with a bit of an industrial design to the dining room. The beer menu was okay but could be larger. The pizza was served nicely with the server plating our first slices. The flavor and quality of the pizza were good. We had enough for left overs that heated up well. For us this location is a bit of a drive. I’m more than happy to continue to go to Union Jack Pub in Broad Ripple for deep dish(tastes better IMO). I would come back here but it won’t be frequently.

So… food was very good and the restaurant is very clean, but we had the craziest high-stress lunch ever. Below is my FB status that I wrote while it was actually happening… seriously, I don’t know that I could go back after this. «BGF and I decided to try Giordano’s for lunch… we arrived right at 11am and when we were seated by the most disinterested hostess ever, the wait staff was being screamed at in the bar by management for ‘being useless’. It was very awkward. Then BGF was unaware of the pre-order pizza situation and had a mini meltdown… in the middle of the manager also yelling at another waiter on the floor for bringing Parmesan to a customer on the patio because the humidity is too high for Parmesan to be outside(?)…and now the kitchen staff is clearly making sexually vulgar comments and gestures about the woman at the table next to us because we can see them through the window… the wheels are kinda falling off lunch y’all. UPDATE: BGF was just server-shamed for mistaking the fennel on his salad for onions… wheels are completely off now and we are in free-fall. UPDATE #2: now an angry food delivery truck driver is out front banging on the front window and wildly gesticulating at the person at the host stand… WHATISHAPPENING?»

I’m not sure why there are such bad reviews of Giordanos in Indy? I’ve been to the location in downtown Chicago and the pizza was very comparable(delicious deep dish). Our server was very good as well. People in indy aren’t used to the 45 minute wait for a Chicago style pizza. I put an order in ahead… Only had to wait about 15 min upon arrival. Suggest you do the same. I think it just took a while to work out the kinks of being a new restaurant in an area outside of its element. Def will be returning soon.

Good first impression of this popular chain here in Indiana! I had had Giordano’s once before in Chicago but didn’t remember much so I was excited to try it out. We went around 7 pm on a Saturday. It is still really busy… luckily my friend was shopping in the area and had put our table in around 6:30 pm. We were able to be at around 7:20. A couple of notes on the«waiting» process — they totally failed at making the entrance an adequate space for waiting guests! It was cramped and awkward and you felt like you were always in the way. They could have designed this area better. One good thing about the waiting process, they allow you to pre-order their deep dish pizza — awesome idea! This means you aren’t waiting 45 minutes for it once you get to your table. It was a breeze from there. We had great service, delicious appetizers and didn’t have to wait forever for pizza. I feel like the appetizers are a bit overpriced for what you get but they were tasty, we had the bruschetta and cheesy bread. Pizza was very good but not life changing — definitely a good choice when you are craving lots of cheese and deliciousness. All in all, I would definitely go again but make sure I have plenty of time to wait! Hopefully the volumne will die down in the future as well.

I would rate this like a 3 ½. I think it was hyped up so much that my expectations were not met. We got the bruschetta that if you sign up for emails you get a coupon for free bruschetta or cheese bread… The bruschetta was good but they are a little beach on the balsamic vinegar. I wanted a beer but the prices were high so I passed. We ended up ordering a stuffed spinach and a stuffed pepperoni. They take about 45 minutes. It was not busy at all in there. The waitress was very nice. Pizzas were hot and good. The crust is plain. I expected more flavor. I would eat here again but wouldn’t make the drive.

Chicago style pizza is my favorite and Giordano’s is a classic rendition. This is their 1st location in Indiana(they decided to open one here because of a huge Facebook campaign) and it has been a huge success. They completely remodeled this location and added a lot more indoor seating than what was here before(by enclosing the outdoor patio). The pizza tastes exactly as it does at any Chicago location and that is a good thing. What makes Chicago style pizza so good is the order of the ingredients and the crust. The crust basically serves as a big bowl for the ingredients. Most importantly, sauce on top of the cheese. This keeps the cheese gooey and prevents it from burning.

This place is good. Here’s the low down. You need to go put your name on the list and pre-order your pizza. It takes about 45 minutes to make your pizza so be ready to wait and plan ahead Bruschetta– SUPER good and super generous. Lots of tomatoes. The cheese is good. The bread held up nicely. Definitely recommend this. Garlic Parm Fries– nothing special. Very standard and safe. They serve it with ranch. Skip this. Pizza– this is the money maker. I loved the cheese and how hot the pizza was. I loved how the pizza has a «lid» or «top» made from the dough. So basically, they take the dough and stretch it out. Put the toppings, fill it with cheese, then put another dough on top. Then they cover it with sauce. In the oven it goes. I wish the crust was more buttery. It was crispy but a bit dry. Overall, it was good.

Excellent deep dish loaded with cheese. Shared the traditional Chicago style pie, medium, and plenty of leftovers. People have complained about the wait and online ordering. I placed my order at 1PM and then got to choose my pickup time. When I arrived at 7PM the pie was ready and warm. The only knock is that on to-Go orders the Parmesan is prepackaged and not fresh.

We got free garlic cheesy bread sticks when we signed up for the Giordano’s e-newsletter. Nice! And dang, was that garlic cheesy bread great. We ate the whole order on the way home, and had high expectations for our large thin crust pepperoni pizza awaiting us in the carryout box. Alas, the pizza was no good. Perhaps it was our fault for ordering the thin crust at a pizza place that’s known for deep-dish pizza. In any case, we were disappointed. But the bread sticks were so good that we’ll try this place again — but next time, we’ll get the deep-dish. FYI: For all you hungry carry-out folks, it takes about 35 minutes to make the thin crust pizza, so plan accordingly.

I was a little weary after reading the Unilocal reviews, but we ended up having a great experience! We enjoyed outstanding food and top notch service. We were immediately seated in their outdoor patio area overlooking the nearby lake and our large pepperoni pizza came out in a mere 30 minutes. I only wish there was less dressing on my starter salad, as the bottom of the bowl was a pool of vinaigrette that was covering the toppings I previously anticipated eating.

Giordano’s. The deep dish pizza is great. You should be prepared to wait 45+ minutes for it. We usually get the meat + more meat because we like… meat! Calamari is just ok. The marinara sauce is nothing to write home about. Service has always been good so no complaints there.

Oh my gosh! I’ve died and landed in pizza heaven! The best Chicago style pizza in Indy. So cheesy. So saucy. So perfect. I read the bad reviews on timing so I made sure to make a reservation and put our pizza orders in enough time to have them finished by the time we arrived. The pizza still came out about 10 minutes later than I made the reservation for but our group allotted extra time just in case. Our group of about 20 had lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. The pizza was fantastic! Hot and gooey cheese was stacked on our all meat pizza. One slice is enough to fill you up but I bet you go back for seconds. I also ordered their appetizer platter. The appetizer platter comes with breaded mushrooms, cheese bread, fried ravioli, and something else that I can’t remember. The appetizers are mediocre but the cheese bread was decent. I will definitely go back!
