Great lunch specials. I love love love their Shrimp cocktail. Also if you are looking for a meeting room or special event, they have a great room available. Speak to Sarah Wright — She rocks!

The food was amazing and so was the service. I celebrated my bithday dinner here and the servers gave me a birthday card along with a free desert. If you’re celebrating a special occassion or are in the mood for a good steak I highly recommend this place.

So much expectation. So much hype. So much promise. Too little ambiance. Too little quality. Too little delivered I had great hopes for this place. Upon entering the doors it was loud and close. People walking by you all the time. There was no time for you to carry on a private conversation and no way to be romantic. While the meal selection was ample, the expo was lacking. Two steaks varied in size and preparation. One was at least 4 to 6 ounces larger and cooked at at least one to two selections out. Wine selection was not that good. A $ 10 bottle for $ 40 unless you want an Opus One for $ 140. Too much for too little. I never mind spending money. But over priced for the meal. Low quality, a-la-cart sides, and bla steaks. And, I can’t really put a taste bud on one thing that was exceptional that says I spent $ 160 on that would make me. While I am not thrilled about the restaurant, I don’t want to speak ill about the staff. We had reservations that were honored on a Saturday night on time. And our server was timely, attentive and very friendly. Overall, I can get a better steak with the same atmosphere at half the price. I’m not sure what this place has to offer besides location and the shrimp cocktail.

We had a 7:30 reservation on a Saturday night, and right before being seated the hostess said, «We have a big party following you at 9, do you think you’ll be able to eat your meal in an hour and 15 minutes?» The food was delicious(the French onion soup and filet were especially good), however we felt rushed the whole meal.

I’ve eaten at Harry & Izzy’s on a handful of occasions since they have opened mostly for work related meals or special occasions. I have had some real good food and some of it has been less than good. Sporadic is a good way to explain it, but last night was the worst. As indicated by others on Unilocal,Harry & Izzy’s is a steak house and I’ve had good steaks here. Yes, they have a good shrimp cocktail but now that the St. Elmo’s cocktail sauce is sold retail, buy the sauce and 5 shrimp at the store, enjoy the sauce that you want to eat and stop paying $ 18 to eat 5 shrimp and sending 80% of the leftover sauce to the trash. Last evening I took a work associate from Germany to H & I for dinner. I knew my associate would want a steak. I had a large burger for lunch so I was looking for a lighter dinner. As you could guess, we skipped the shrimp cocktail. We both order salads. I ordered the spinach salad and my guest ordered the wedge salad. Both salads were«good» and they were so large. You would think that H & I would offer a pre-meal sized salad. The spinach salad could have used a little more dressing and I did find 2 wilted leaves in with the fresh leaves. For the main course, I ordered the grilled salmon with a side of creamed spinach and my associated ordered the 14 oz. ribeye with a side of creamed spinach. The grilled salmon(for $ 28) was just NOT good. It was dry, not seasoned and looked like it came pre-packaged and warmed up. I guess I needed to order it «Oscar-style» for an additional $ 7 to get it seasoned. I could have walked across the road to the market and bought a 1 lb salmon steak for $ 7.99 and had much better salmon. The ribeye that my associate ordered was cooked very well, but my work associate said it lacked in seasoning. The creamed spinach came to us both in there own serving bowls I assume to pre-measure the portion size. They both looked like they were pre-made and re-heated in the microwave. Both had a kind of glassy film on top. Mine needed pepper bad! My associate didn’t eat his. I know that H & I is a steak house and I’ve had good steak there, but if a restaurant with the«history» and prices as H & I puts other offerings on their menu they better be at a very high quality also. The service provided by our server Paul was very good, but not good enough to make up for bad food. I will avoid H & I until management makes some changes, but if people keep paying these prices and awarding them 5 stars, management probably will not see a need to make changes.

The bar area is comfortable and inviting. It is a gathering place for professionals going for a drink or food after leaving the office and I felt very at ease in the atmosphere. The food is great, the cocktail sauce has the perfect amount of heat. I had the filet slider and shrimp po boy slider with fries. I could have easily eaten it twice over, it was perfectly cooked and delicious. I will definitely be coming here on my next trip to Indy.

I’m a big St Elmo fan so when we found ourselves in Fishers, decided to try out Harry & Izzy’s finally. We ended up sitting at the bar(same menu as dining room) but purely to watch some basketball games which the bartenders were great in accommodating channel requests. St Elmo Shrimp Cocktail — SOGOOD. The fresh daily horseradish cocktail sauce has a BIG kick and we really enjoyed it. A must try. Izzy Style NY Strip — didn’t care for the orange butter brandy sauce, almost wished I ordered the regular NY strip instead. Had the brussel sprouts on the side, which were cooked perfectly. Smoked Porkchops — Friend’s feedback was that it was great —(who doesn’t order steak at a steakhouse?!) I would highly recommend St Elmo if you want to treat yourself and Harry & Izzy’s if you’re looking for something a bit more casual.

If you didn’t know this is St Elmo’s «sister» restaurant. If you like shrimp cocktail don’t be shy and order 1 or 2 for yourself. I caution you to try just a small amount of cocktail sauce. It has a big helping of horseradish. It will quickly clear your sinuses. I went off course with this trip and got the bone in filet and not the ribeye and I went with a rare not a medium rare. It was delicious. I was very happy with my choices. For desert we got a Bread pudding to split among the table. It was the perfect desert to end the dinner. Service is 10 stars. Sometime it seemed too good if that’s even possible. Make a reservation to help with any wait times.

I recently went to this steak establishment with my parents and boyfriend. I ordered the 8oz filet medium with the roasted cauliflower. The medium steak was very red in the middle and the cauliflower was quite salty. In fact, the best part of my meal were the appetizers. The bread at Harry and Izzy’s is delicious, most likely because it is smothered in garlic and butter. We ordered a world-famous shrimp cocktail for the whole table. Wow was it spicy! I have never been so aware of the location of my sinuses in my life. We all really enjoyed it. Despite the food, our server was very kind and accommodating. I would probably go back and order something else.

The giant shrimp cocktail is from St Elmo’s. Wonderful The filet was season perfect and cooked the same. Try the garlic mash potatoes, some of the best in town. Love this place!

Outstanding steaks and appetizers. Calamari was great(fresh and not rubbery like so many), tuna was outstanding. Great service as well.

When my handsome man suggested dinner at Harry & Izzy’s, I’ll admit that I was uncertain. The reviews aren’t great. I have a love/hate relationship with St. Elmo. I was nervous about what kind of experience we might have. He made a reservation for the two of us at 9:00PM and we headed in. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet, but still had several diners. We started with the shrimp cocktail, which is a must. The shrimp were large and sweet. The sauce had that familiar kick that I was craving. When this became $ 17.95 is beyond me. When I started to frequent St. Elmo years ago, I’m pretty sure it was around $ 10.95! It’s delicious, but I’m pretty sure that this is eventually going to price itself out of what I’m willing to pay for five shrimp. The two of us ordered the 8 oz filet, medium, and I got mine Oscar Style. The steaks were cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed them. Sides were french fries, house chips and brussels sprouts. All were very good. The house chips were served with a chipotle ketchup and a french onion dip! A great surprise and very delicious. Our server, Valeria, was wonderful. She and her team were attentive without being overwhelming. We had all that we needed and never had to ask for a single thing.

Had the special, the 20oz Porterhouse. For $ 83 it was not as flavorful as I would have wanted. Had the Brussel Sporuts as the side, they were above average but not the best I’ve had. Also had the spinach salad, was probably the best part of the meal, vinaigrette was tasty and the chucks of bacon really made the salad pop. Wait staff was great and atmosphere was nice. An okay 2nd choice for their sister location, St Elmo’s

Harry & Izzy’s has slowly become a local staple. I love the Mad Men-esque vibe of the original location. I was elated when a second location opened up in Keystone at the Crossing. I’ve visited this location several times since it opened. Although I’ve never had an major issues, in my opinion, it lacks the warmth and sophistication of the original location. It’s still a wonderful place, but it’s missing that signature Harry & Izzy’s vibe. I had a wonderful visit this past weekend. I went with a small group of friends and we had great time. Our server Candace was exceptional! She was attentive and made great menu suggestions that I never knew about such as their signature coke and bourbon drink. Nice! I don’t know why, but I am obsessed with the chicken club sandwich. I know. I know. Shame on me. There are so many wonderful menu items, but I just love that sandwich. In the past I had the flatbread pizza and filet sliders, which are great. The club sandwich is 13 bucks. Well worth it in my book. Now, how about that dessert. Upon the recommendation of our waitress, we ordered the Woodfield Reserve Bread Pudding. Oh my stars! This dessert was magnificent. Costs $ 15, so it is the perfect dessert to share. I believe 5 of us nibbled off it. Warm bourbon laced bread pudding prepared in a skillet topped with chocolate chip ice cream, whipped cream, and caramel drizzle. Delish! I’m still thinking about it. This spot is definitely worth a visit. Great place to go not only for dinner, but for a quick cocktail or even dessert!

Ever since I moved to Indy, Harry and Izzy’s has come up in many conversations and I’ve been told by numerous friends that I have to try it out. I’ve also been told that Harry and Izzy’s is a subsidiary of the legendary St. Elmo’s steakhouse. So when I finally entered the restaurant after nearly six months of continual raving recommendations, I was pretty excited! When we first arrived, I was immediately disgruntled by the cold and irritated demeanor of the gaggle of hosts standing behind the counter. 4 hosts with apparently nothing better to do than act like asking for a table is right on par with asking for a one of their kidneys. Nevertheless we were led to our table relatively quickly, with no acknowledgement after we sat down. Just pointed and then walked away! Okay, well at this point I figured I wasn’t going to let the attitude of a select few employees ruin my visit or completely dampen my spirits about the place. When pur server finally arrived, I was already in better spirits. She was very friendly and warm in her greeting and put in our drink orders right away. She wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu, so she had to tell us several times that she didn’t know what a certain item was or tasted like. I figured she must be new so I didn’t hold it against her(hey, we’ve all been there!) After much deliberation, I finally decided to order a salad because it was a little early for dinner and I didn’t want to eat a heavy meal before a night on the town with my friends. We waited for about 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food. Not kidding and not exaggerating. My salad seemed a little wilted and had obviously been sitting for a really long time before it was brought to me. If you ask me, this place is just a lot of hot air. It relies on it’s reputation to bring it customers and uses its«clout» to justify charging you $ 25 for a sad small pile of mowed grass drizzled with vinaigrette. I’m not a cheapskate in the slightest and I won’t put a price limit on some amazing food. But next time I have the urge for an upscale dinner, I won’t be going to Harry and Izzy’s.

This is about a service issue. I’m a regular to dtn an this location. Had a early Friday dinner reservation for my moms bday. I had the upper level round table re severed as this table works great for 5. I know the menu so never look. The balcony was mostly empty, order was taken right away for apps, drinks an dinner. Everything was great until my 8oz fillet an asparagus was missing from in front of me an all other orders were being consumed by my family. Server came an stated he forgot to put my order in? What? He only had 2 other tables. Finally as my family was finishing my dinner arrived being served by the manager. He said desert is comp’d? Huh, I should have refused the steak, as the proper thing should have been to comp it. Desert was a not so great crime brûlée an a scoop of ice cream for my nephew… Still scratching my head this morning on this one

1 word sums this place up: Overpriced. Harry and Izzy’s is owned by St. Elmo’s and charges the same kind of prices for most of their main attractions. Drinks are in the 9 – 15 dollar range and steaks are in the 40+ range. No thanks. I’m glad that they have a few other things like a $ 13 burger on the menu so that when I come here for a friend’s birthday or something similar, I don’t have to pay for an overpriced steak. I’ve only been here once now, and the service was mediocre(Granted I was with a party of 12 and the server was busy) If you don’t care about price and want a place that is hip to be seen at, this is the place for you. If you are a foodie that wants great food at a reasonable place, skip this place.

TWOTHINGS: WORLDFAMOUSST. ELMOSHRIMPCOCKTAIL FRENCHONIONSOUP Seriously, that cocktail sauce is the BESTCOCKTAIL sauce I have ever had in my life! Please note that you should eat this as soon as it’s served since it seems to lose that spicy kick/flavor the longer you leave it sitting. I loveeee the super wasabi-like spicy kick up my nose. I can never have cocktail sauce anymore in any other place because it will always remind me of Harry and Izzy’s cocktail sauce. My friend actually brought me here when I came back to Indy from Minneapolis to visit, and I joked to her that I will fly back just for that cocktail sauce. The shrimps itself were enormous, cooked and chilled perfectly, firm texture, and fresh! Although I do agree that $ 17.95 is quite spendy, but this is worth it for me! I ended up dipping bread, crackers, and etc in it after I finished the shrimps. The French Onion Soup was done very well also — savory, not too salty. And the cheese drags on and on and on! We also had the smoke salmon appetizer. This was alright. I wasn’t a huge fan of it since it was too drenched in sauce. It is just that type of food where it was decent on the initial bite, but you don’t really want to eat it anymore after a few more bites. I haven’t really tried the other dishes, and they seem pretty pricy to me. I am not sure if they are worth trying, but the shrimp cocktail and french onion soup will make you quite full anyways! PS. Service wasn’t very good, but I was too blown away by the cocktail sauce.

This is one of the only places in town that can seem to cook a medium piece of meat consistently. I love coming here for lunch! The staff is 95% awesome every now and then we get a waitstaff person that just seems off or doesn’t seem like they want to be there, otherwise the staff is awesome. I would recommend this to anyone anytime though!
