I never leave reviews but definitely feel like I should today. If I could give a negative star rating, I would. I purchased a Groupon for this vendor for a Spa mani-pedi and it was a huge mistake. I spoke with the lady who I assume owns this salon over the phone and both scheduled and confirmed an appointment with her for today, 12⁄30 at 3:30pm. She asked me to text her the info we just discussed, including my name and the date and time we scheduled for confirmation so I did. The downtown address on the Groupon that I originally purchased was incorrect and she told me that I could come to her«86th st location near the Costco.» I told her that I wouldn’t mind coming to a different location and agreed. I texted her a few days later to ask if we could move up the time from 3:30pm to 2pm and she confirmed that 2pm on 12⁄39 would be fine. So today at 1:57pm, a few mins before my appointment, as I was driving around I texted her(on same number that we made confirmations on) that I couldn’t find the location of her«86th st salon» and asked her for an address. I continued to drive around and still couldn’t find it and I didn’t get any response from her. I texted her a few more times and even called twice. The second time she let it ring once before ignoring my call and sending me to voicemail. It is now almost 3:30pm and I still haven’t heard from her and I am still driving around and around looking for this salon who’s address is nowhere to be found. Not on the website, and certainly not on the Groupon voucher. I left my job early so that I could make this appointment and this is by far one of the most unprofessional things I have ever encountered. It is also the day before I leave for vacation and now I don’t have a mani-pedi as I thought I would. A copy of our text string is below: 12⁄21 Me: 12⁄30 appt at 3:30pm. 86th st. Location. 12⁄22 Vendor: See you next week .have a merry Christmas 12⁄28 Me: Good morning! Could we possibly schedule this appointment for a little bit earlier at 2pm? Vendor: I think so. Will confirm the time tomorrow morning 12⁄29 Vendor: See you at 2 on Wednesday Today, 12⁄30(time of confirmed appointment: 2pm) 1:58pm Me: Can you send me your address? I think I’m at the wrong place 2:10pm Me: I’m on 86th 2:21pm Me: Hello? I’m just driving around but I don’t have an address 2:21pm Me: I just called you 2:25pm Me: Hello? 2:29pm Me: This is really frustrating 2:32pm Me: I’m sorry, but this is really unprofessional. I left work early to make sure I could make this appointment and you confirmed a time of 2pm today I still haven’t heard from her. This is the second or third time that I have purchased a local Groupon and been very, very disappointed. Maybe there should be a better screening process for local vendors. I just looked back at the other reviews on Unilocal for this salon and apparently several people have all had terrible experiences. I wouldn’t ever recommend the local vendors I’ve had experiences with so far through Groupon. This is beyond aggravating and I have to say that I’m very close to never using Groupon again. I have requested a full refund as I don’t want to try and schedule another appointment with this lady. She has clearly proven herself to be highly unprofessional. Definitely do not recommend.

Waste of time! Got this groupon as a gift for a parafin mani and pedi. Called and made an appointment as requested on the groupon. Call went to voicemail, she asks you to text her, so we did. She called back in about 15 minutes and we set up an appointment for 20 minutes later. I show up and the place is closed, lights off, nobody inside. I both called and texted her and no response for 15 minutes so I left. I wont be going back. Its small inside, and looked pretty shabby. Terrible customer service :( Definitely do not recommend.

I bought a groupon for a paraffin mani pedi awhile ago and was excited about using it on my day off today. So I called the business number late last night around 11pm expecting to leave a voicemail and was surprised that someone picked up(it was a cell phone). Nonetheless, we set an appointment time for 3pm and she asked me to text her to confirm. I texted today to confirm and finally got a return text after a couple texts. So far, so good. I arrive at the building about 20 min early to get settled and check out the colors. The nail place is in a shared space with Barbers at 101. The door was locked when I arrived but I heard some noise inside so I knocked. The hair stylist let me in and seemed nice, even trying to point out where the nail polish colors were. She muttered that the nail lady probably wouldn’t get here until right at 3pm. Okay, fair enough. That’s when the appointment is. I brought my own couple picks just in case. Good thing I did, since the selection is pretty limited and nothing really caught my eye. There’s only one manicurist table and one pedicure chair, just so you know it’s not a place for crowds! Linda finally arrives a couple minutes past 3pm and gets herself settled. She was nice enough and actually pleasant to converse with. However, she totally chastised me for getting a groupon and grumbled about how much less she gets paid and advised me to just ask for the«special» next time. We started with the pedicure and besides being a little dingier than I’m used to, no major issues. We did the paraffin treatment before she painted the toes, and I’ve never had one before but it felt a little awkward putting my hands into plastic bags. That might be the usual method so who knows. She worked hard to smooth out my callouses, great. As far as quality of the pedi it was below average. I’ve had sloppier jobs done but I probably could have done a better job in less time. She only used one coat of my polish too! She didn’t make me bleed, though, so I’ll give more than one star. As far as the mani, she did an okay job. She used two coats of my polish(I brought brand new nails inc gel effects), and complained that it was thicker than she liked. She griped a lot about not being able to find some of her things because there’s another nail lady who shares the space. I’ve already ruined two of the nails, so I’ll be fixing my mani tonight. Glad I used my own colors. Mani quality was average — I could probably do a better job on my own in less time. It took 90 minutes to get all this done, so don’t come here if you’re in a hurry. There’s a television there, which is nice but she changed the channel from CNN to Fox News when the hair stylist left. She also voiced her strong support of the Religious Freedom Act because it would allow her to refuse service to potential patrons without getting sued. Um. Ok. I tipped only because I felt obligated to after she griped about groupon taking away her profits at the beginning of our appointment. She also works night shifts besides doing the nail thing, so there’s no real schedule for the shop, so keep that in mind. Personally, I will not be back. I would have probably been more relaxed doing my own nails at home.

Horrible experience — appointments can only be done via text, had to sent 4 reminders to get my appointment confirmed. Building was closed when I got there for my appointment-called owner, she wasn’t even in the building yet. Owner tried to get security to open the building, she called me back saying that I had to wait five more minutes until security arrives. I decided not to do the appointment as already 25 minutes had passed. Owner even did not apologize.
