Payless Shoe Source

I took my mentally ill sister and my 5-​year-​old granddaughter to shop at this store on Thursday 6÷12÷14 at about 3:30pm. Both were trying on shoes and we were preparing to buy 4 pairs of shoes totaling about $ 95. My granddaughter needed to use the restroom (desperately, as most 5 year olds do). The manager on duty said the restroom is not for the public. My granddaughter pleaded and I was told to go to Kohl’s. I replied that she could not make it to the Kohls restroom at the back of the store and that if she couldn’t use the restroom, she would have to pee on the floor. The manager just stared at me. The same manager who reluctantly threw away my granddaughter’s empty drink cup when she asked for a wastebasket. I told this manager that we were taking our business elsewhere and we would not be back. I took my broken hearted granddaughter to Target where the restroom is at the front of the store and Target was glad to take our $ 95 for the shoes we bought there. We love Payless shoes because they carry ½ sizes for children and a few years ago this same store allowed me to take another grandchild to the restroom before purchasing shoes. Hopefully your other stores have better customer service because I won’t be back to this one and I have told my friends my experience, including this child’s mother.

Very happy with Payless today! I went to the Greenwood location at the mall and found a shoe I immediately favored as something for my upcoming prom but it was a size too big. The woman working there contacted the Southport store who happened to have it in stock. They placed a 48 hour hold on it for me! It was originally a $ 30-​ish heel but apparently it was on clearance so it had gone out fast. She was very helpful and super friendly!
Went to Southport the next day and got my shoe quickly and easily with more friendly service. When they contacted the other store, I received a $ 4 off coupon and ended up getting my sweet kicks for only $ 4 total.
Amazing customer service at all of the local Indy branches. Occasionally they have great deals too!
