The staff here was friendly & kept our table of 5 full of drinks. Our server was Maria, and I liked her! I had the brown butter tilapia with shrimp and rice. The mashed potatoes I got were good, but my husband thought they were a bit too rich. My sister got the exact dish that I did since it sounded so good to her when I ordered it. It was plenty of food when you figure in the side salad and the bread for the table! The side salad was a normal house salad with choice of dressing. I thought there were a few too many croutons, but that’s my personal taste. My parents seemed to enjoy their steaks. I didn’t get a chance to sample their cocktails as I’m watching my intake for the new year, but they seemed to have the usual suspects on the menu. My only complaint is that they don’t have a lighter options menu so they’re not keeping up with their competition. They could do a bit better with the bread. We only got one loaf & my family really seemed to enjoy it. It came to the table warm and crusty, just wish there was more! I’m pretty sure it’s unlimited, but we weren’t offered. A good experience at a known chain.

We had a gift card for Longhorn, so we decided to give it a try. I had never been there before, so I hoped for the best, as I would with any culinary gamble. ;o) We went recently on a Saturday night. There are several tests a restaurant must pass — as far as when one chooses to dine. A Saturday night is one of those measuring sticks. It was standing room only in the waiting room when we arrived at 5:30. Thankfully, it took only 20 minutes to seat the two of us. We were seated in a nice, spacious and comfortable booth. The décor in the restaurant is a very pleasant, warm and appropriately on the rustic western artsy side. The menu was simple enough and not too complicated whatsoever. I read several reviews about the food on Unilocal, and decided on a chicken entrée. I chose the artichoke chicken. It was very flavorful, but now in hindsight, I should have picked the parmesan crusted chicken. My fiancé chose a filet steak and the lobster. He was pleased with his meal overall as well. The appetizer — cheese stuffed mushrooms, fried mini shrimp and mini chicken wraps was tasty, but a bit on the lukewarm side when it arrived at the table. The complimentary multi grain bread served with REAL butter was fresh, hot, hearty and pretty good. The dinner salad and dressing were also acceptable except for the fact that the lettuce was swimming in the dressing. I forgot to ask for my dressing on the side like I always customarily do. I will make a mental note to not skip that detail next time. ;o) All in all, I think they are a commendable steakhouse. The pricing is cresting on the high side, which I can never really understand considering what you really get. Granted, quality and quantity was above average, but not necessarily outstanding enough to justify the ritzy price point.

For lunch the Parmesan chicken keeps me coming back. The great grilled flavor of the chicken alone would be worth it. We never have a wait here. The service is always good and the quality of the food is good. The new bacon cheese dip appetizer is a guilty pleasure. The soft bread it is served with has a nice flavor with a crispy outside strong enough to hold the dip and soft on the inside. We will be back for more.

I stopped having high hopes for these chain restaurants awhile ago but last night wasn’t to bad. It was a Tuesday night so didn’t think there would be much of a crowd but it was a 40 minute wait… No big deal with a screaming two year old(note my sarcasm) but thankfully the nice hostess offered her some teddy grams and that helped so a big shout out to the hostess, you rock! I felt bad for the two hostess girls because they seemed to be very overwhelmed. Once the manager in charge finally came to the front, things started to get moving thankfully. We were seated and were greeted with a friendly waitress. Ordered a spinach dip which was lukewarm(honestly can’t remember the last time I was at a long horn and actually got it fresh and hot so I over looked this). My mother ordered a coffee($ 2.99; way over priced) and was never refilled which really upset me. Our food came out warm and was good so at least there was that

I’m a big fan of longhorn. I love steak. My favorite place is outback(I worked there for 6 years), but longhorn is a close second, and not as expensive. I always sit at the bar, and receive good service. I mix up my choices literally every time, and I’ve never been disappointed. A new fave on their fall Menu is the blue ridge salad(romaine with blue cheese dressing and crumbles, and bacon). Great bread too. :)

I had been waiting several days for a good steak dinner and found this thru high ratings in Unilocal. However, my experience was poor. I sat at a high table in the bar. No one offered me menu, drink nor anything for 5 minutes. Finally I asked a staff server and she advised me the bartender would be my server. So about 4 more minutes she came over. Virtually no timeliness in the service, and inattentive. Even paying the bill took over 5 minutes. Unilocal filter said that this place had wifi, but it didn’t, nor apparently does any Longhorns restaurant. Food value was so-so. Nothing special, and a bit overpriced. Avoid sitting at a bar table if you want service. When I brought my issues to the manager, he said he cannot make changes without corporate permission. One and done for me and Longhorns.

Had the big cut cowboy ribeye steak, it was cooked exactly as ordered, sides were baked potato and salad, all was good and service was excellent. Cost was expensive but its a good place to eat. A step above roadhouse type steakhouses, though not as fancy as the best steak houses.

Great service. Ask for Dana. Food was good but nothing special. We had steak and chicken. The steak was a little tough but the chicken was good.

The food was amazing. We went for lunch on a Sunday and everything was superb. Service was as expected. Food was great. Pricey for a lunch meal though. More of a dinner place for the money. Would recommend to other people

Where do I start? Went on a Saturday evening(7:15pm) and the place was empty! To start, my Caesar salad was old(made a few hours before). The dressing completely wilted the salad. Plus, they used romaine tips for a Caesar, …everyone knows that you should use the heart of romaine. The steaks were warmed over(cooked before)…and the potato was completely dry. Horrendous! Would not recommend this restaurant until management changes!

I would usually Never even consider giving 5 stars but only to the Best of the Best of the Best. But for this restaurant I Must make an Exception. I cant say they are the Best of the Best of the Best but they are Damn Good ! I am a long haul trucker and I was passing thru Indianapolis in the winter of 2012. I ate here at this particular Longhorn on Southport. I remember the steak was great, wasnt fabulous, but it was great. And the big main reason I remember my meal even that long ago was for this reason… Because I left and FORGOT my Debit Card. By the time I realized I didnt have it I was all the way in Wisconsin ! I immediatly called them and they let me speak too the Manager. He had already placed my debit card in the Safe for me. About 4 days later I was able too pass back thru and pick it up. They required me too show ID to prove I was me and once I did the Manager gave it too me. I can honestly tell you these guys have your back. The Food is Awesome too. And its worth it just knowing that you truly have people here whom honestly care about their customers. Go here and give them some business folks. You wont regret it !

We had a gift card and had a seat at the bar on a random Tuesday. Any drink specials? Nope, they don’t do specials. Oh, that must be because they are very exclusive and have unbelievable food. Nope. They are just owned by a huge corporate conglomerate and can afford to put the heads of bulls on the wall without serving good food or offering discounts to those coming in on a random Tuesday. Screw you. I will only be back if I have a gift card that can’t be spent anywhere else.

I had a chedder cheese and bacon stuffed filet with grilled asparagus and a wedge salad. It was all delicious… no complaints. BOTTOMLINE: Cheap, but delicious steak creations. Bravo.

Good steak place. I got Flo’s filet with salmon. The little guy got a steak and so did the misses. Our’s were all cooked to order, arrived hot and were tasty. This is comparable to Roadhouse but without the wait. I can forgo the peanuts for the more upscale atmosphere.

We love LongHorn. They have a great environment that takes Texas Roadhouse to the next level. Food is great. Many options and great service. Love Longhorn.

This was perhaps my WORST restaurant experience ever. Our waitress was more interested in flirting with the person at the table next to us than serving anyone else. I ordered my steak medium, it was served extremely rare.(bloody rare). To top that off, roughly ¼ of the steak was gristle. I mentioned to the waitress that the steak was less than average, and she said«Sorry»…but that’s all. Yet another reason why I seldom visit chain restaurants. I’ll not be back.

The steaks are decent, but overpriced for the atmosphere. You are going to get a similar experience at Texas Road House for less money. I will say the fresh baked multigrain bread is awesome. I think Weber Grill is better value.
