I went here on an off night and it was dead. It was OK for me though, because it was the end of the night. So tonight is Friday, and I went there, and was treated like I was nonexistent. I am a white girl, and reverse discrimination is real in this place.

Walked in, sat down, no one at the bar, no waitresses or anything. Sat for ten minutes. No one came around. We promptly left. Bummer. Smelled good.

Ummmm, I tried to go but they were closed. No hours posted on the door. Not sure what to think :/

Peace of Mind is a nice place to come to gain it’s name, a Peace of Mind. They have food, nice drinks(a mean Margarita might I add) along with live bands, poetry, TV’s to watch the game on and pool tables available. They have nice drink specials and some house drinks that are quite potent yet very tasty. For a simple night out on any day of the week I would recommend this spot, you may even see me there!

The Peace of Mind Pub & Eatery is a relatively new neighborhood bar located in a small strip center in a spot that used to be a bar and is now a bar once again. The pub hosts special event nights and is known to have live music, though my visit was simply for lunch because I wanted to try out the new place in the neighborhood. I tried out a tenderloin sandwich and fries. It was good, but nothing particularly special. I’d consider it fairly typical bar food. I have a friend who writes a tenderloin blog called the Tenderloin Connoisseur and I’m always looking for new places to send him. While I won’t be pointing him in this direction, I enjoyed the dimly light, casual atmosphere and the staff was friendly. They seem to be busiest on Friday nights, though I’m tempted to check out one of their poetry nights. If you live near 56th& Emerson, it’s a decent enough place to check out but it’s definitely not a destination spot.

Your usual neighborhood bar. Whats nice are their poetry nights on Tuesday nights and live music on Friday. Food and drink prices are on point. you can eat and drink for two for $ 25.
