Angel View Indio Resale Store

Pretty cool thrift store. Reasonable prices and within walking distance of two other thrift stores. I’d say it’s a hit or miss but they have some neat things nonetheless.

I was in the area recently for a 15nera and stopped by some of my favorite thrift shops in Indio. Angel View is located off Fargo St. and within walking distance of two other thrift shops. The South West Communities Thrift store and Martha’s Village Thrift store. Angel View has been at this location forever now. One of my old stomping grounds. I can almost recall each and every great find at each of my favorite thrift stores. For example I was 16 when I found a really cool print of El Greco’s «View Of Toledo»… It hung on my walls for years even though my mother hated it because it seemed «too dark»… I loved it. My love for the writings of the French novelist Francoise Sagan began here when I found a limited edition hard cover of her first book «Bonjour Tristesse». The book is far better than the film. Anyhow… On my most recent trip here I was a little bummed to see how much they have jacked the prices up since my last time here (which has been years)…
They have closed off the back room which now makes this place a little more cramped. It’s still big but I liked it better when they had the rear room open. Tons and tons of furniture available now shit is just cramped. Anyhow. I walked out of here finding a Blenko vase and some amazing pieces of jewelry and my what I call «my 80’s» sweater… The cool thing about Angel View is that there are 9 of them in Coachella Valley. They also give aid to the mentally handicap and crippled children. Any-​hoot. It’s a good shop. They try to keep it clean and organized and they also have a 50% off red sticker sale! $ 21 and some change is what I spent on my treasures!
