I hate being negative, but my experience there yesterday was not good. I was in desperate need of a haircut and couldn’t get in to see my regular stylist at a different salon. The woman that cut my hair literally didn’t listen to a word I said in terms of what style cut I wanted. I even showed her pics of myself with the style haircut I wanted. She preceded to say that the picture must have been my brother and scoffed at the notion that it was indeed me. To add insult to injury this stylist then shaved my sideburns off. Keep in mind I have a beard, so you can imagine how great that now looks. By far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had In a salon. Stylist must listen to their clients. It’s literally a partnership and if the stylist isn’t comfortable with what the client wants, than that should be conveyed up front. Learn from this feedback and don’t ever disregard the input given by a client prior to cutting their hair.

Elena did a great job cutting my 70 year old newly retired head of hair. $ 14 is to low a price for this talent so tip well.

My wife has been looking for somewhere to get her hair DID as well as our daughter’s. Where we live the rates can be ASTRONOMICAL.
At the Cutting Edge the rates are fair and Lupita S. was straightforward, fast and efficient. I do believe the old stylist my wife was frequenting just got kicked to the curb.
Yes, the shop can use a little TLC and it is an excursion to get there from Rancho Mirage but it was well worth the effort. We were extremely satisfied with the results.

Moved to the desert and had been dissapointed elsewhere and my girlfriend recommended this place .
She had been coming here for years and is always very pleased with the service as well as her results of her hair.
Her hair always looks so beautifully well layered, healthy and full.
I am a person with very thick hair and have stubborn gray hair that never seems to want to cover.
Well, I took my girlfriends advice and used her same lady by the name of (Elena).
she was very nice, well knowledgeable and let’s just say the outcome was beautiful and I was well satisfied! !!!
I was truly impressed and most of all to find such a hidden gem of a salon in Indio.

Lupita S. Is the best. For years i was searching for a Great stylist and about 2years ago i came across Lupita S. Her coloring skills are remarkable. I came to her with brown hair with crappy high lights. Some other lady fried my hair from the high lights. Lupita did not only fix the horrible high lights but also fixed the damage and restored the health of my now BEAUTIFUL Hair. When i used to have my hair that way everyone loved! I had people taking pics and asking who did it and where? With the color i have now the same thing. Complements almost everyday. I Love The Cutting Edge! I recommend it to Everyone !
