I wait for a so long time. They told me just 15−20mins. But infact I’m waiting about one hour. I’m super mad.

Great Chinese BBQ, perfect flavor, open until 2 am~
Takes about 30 dollars for one person. Get anything you would like to have in China.

This place is really 5 stars, but I never want this secret spot to become like those 1 – 2 hour wait overhyped asian spots.
I usually come for a second dinner around 9pm-​12am to beat the drunk people heading over from the nearby bars. Once inside, you pick up a stainless steel bucket and start filling up with stuff you like. Price range of the skewers range from $ 1-​$ 3 so it adds up very quickly. I usually come out of it with 12 – 15 skewers at around $ 20. Personal favorites are the chicken skin, pork intestine, chicken and bones, and beef skewers. For those that love lamb, those skewers are only $ 1, but I can’t really stand the gamey taste to it.
Once you finish picking your skewers, go up to the register and they will ask how spicy you want it. My usual pick is medium spicy but this builds on you very quickly. I might start changing it to mild. Make sure you ordered enough because once you place your order, there’s no turning back.
Depending on how many people are before you, the cooking process takes a while, upwards to 30 – 40 mins so be patient. They have drinks and other cooked food you can munch on like meatballs and soups. The food comes out on a plate per order and start munching away.
Once you start, you pretty much can’t stop because it’s that good. As I said before, the spicy seasoning builds on you and it’s perfect. They offer hot water only so make sure you get it as soon as you sit down so it can cool down. They offer other asian drinks too like Calpico, Apple Sidra, etc. but it’s pretty overpriced. If you are planning on coming in, you are allowed to bring your own drinks.
It’s almost become a weekly visit for me, I love this place too much, don’t get too packed :(

When you see a sign that says EZ (easy) Covenience Store, you would rightfully expect something quick, easy and convenient. My experience was not this…
Walking in, everything looks like a convenient store, so guess what, I’m still expecting a convenient store. What’s different is they sell a bunch of tiny precooked skewers. Awesome. We got 5. –It took over 30 minutes! There was only one table of 4 ahead of us with one cook. But it still should not have taken that long. They’re skewers. 5 minutes tops each side and they’re done. But no, what was suppose to be a 10 minute run in and out turned 3 times as long.

Hello my Unilocal friends! Boy, do I have a story to tell you!
It was 7 pm on a Friday night, I was waiting for my boyfriend to get off work (at 8 but usually he doesn’t get off till 8:30 or 9pm). I got really hungry and decided that I wanted a light snack because I was going to be HANGRY by the time we would get to eat dinner. So I opened my Unilocal app and checked to see if there was anything I book marked and had forgotten about.
I saw EZ CONVIENIENCE STORE and thought «ah! Easy & Convienient! Perfect!!» I decided to go and get some snacks for me and a few friends. This store is down the street from my boyfriends shop so it was easy for me to find but when I found it I realized why I never really payed attention to it before (because it is behind world hot pot).
I entered the establishment and right away saw a buffet like set up (but at a lower height level). I saw a stack of metal rectangular buckets and a whole bunch of bigger plastic see through rectangular boxes with a sliding lid on top. I asked the man at the register for directions of how it works. He kindly explained to me, and off I went. With a metal rectangular bucket in one hand, the other hand grabbing at skewers after skewers and my head was swimming at how wonderful the idea of this establishment is.
I left with about 20 skewers, got to my boyfriends work place and everyone digged in. They were all so impressed with how wonderful everything tasted and wanted more so bad that we decided to go together for dinner.
My boyfriend the guy who said «I can’t see myself eating skewers like this as a meal» after our first time trying skewers with a friend in another city & the 626 night market. Ended up buying over $ 50 worth of skewers.
The person in line to pay after us had a whole bucket filled to the top. *heart eye emoji. Dang this place has to be off the chain.
Our friends had skewer buckets too, and we all bought drinks & scratchers. OMG they have such a huge variety of drinks it’s amazing if you love ramune calpico or aloe drinks this place is like heaven. Upon sitting down towards the back, we realized they had tea eggs too so we got 3 of those– they were delicious & full of flavor.
We had to wait quite a bit for our skewers but we clearly saw 2 ladies bring out plate after plate full of skewers to tables of people that were there before us. After about 20 minutes we got our food and filled up our bellies with spicy hot deliciousness on sticks.
As we finished our plates and we’re leaving the store I realized that there was sooo much I didn’t realize they had. Like this delicious buns with the stringy things inside, abalone, and oysters.
We will definitely be back again soon to get that bun and try the grilled shellfish and all the other things we missed this time around.
Note: the guy at the registers English is a okay! But knowing mandarin is a bonus for you to be able to converse with other employees of this place.
Tip: make sure you throughly check out the selection on the left hand side (under the drinks) when you enter too!
Also their skewers are way better than the ones you can find at 626 night market.

Yes it’s like the Asian/​Chinese 7÷11… but better!
Not gonna lie, every time I’m here, it’s always after 12am and always under the influence of alcohol, and always with a good company of friends sharing some BOMB lamb skewers.
Located right in front of a KTV (karaōke) spot, it’s usually one of those stores you pass by as you drive by it on the freeway and always forget to go. At night, it’s a super chill spot to grab a late night snack and soft drink with friends. They have everything from chilled to hot tea. Meat buns, various type of skewers (tofu, fish balls, egg, etc…). The meat skewers are quite tasty. Where else are you going to find freshly cooked skewers at 2am?
One of the best thing about this place is that they offer outside seating. On a cool summer night, you can just pull up a chair and chill with friends. Since it’s in the city of industry, there’s no residential area within a good distance. So even if you are super loud and obnoxious, no one will be filing any noise complaints. It’s usually the destination of choice after drinking at Luxy. So forget going to those stupid night markets, just come here instead.

I would give them 3.5 stars for now, but I see the potential of this place. The food was really good, but the atmosphere was seriously lacking
Skewered meats — something I really miss from my time in Asia. The night markets and food stands; man, I wish the U.S. had something similar to that.
I came into EZ convenient store with very low expectations — I mean, the exterior didn’t seem great (with terribly designed banners), and the interior was a little dirty. It didn’t make me feel too comfortable about eating here.
You walk in and pick up a container to choose your skewers. After you choose the skewers, they give you a number, grill it for you, and bring it to your table.
I was really skeptical about this place, but boy, was I wrong. Everything was absolutely delicious. The beef stick was super juicy and tender, the lamb skewer was just like those I’ve had in Asia. The pork belly was the right amount of fatty/​meaty/​flavorful.
My favorites, however, were the CHICKEN BUTT, the gizzard/​skin??, and the chicken heart. The chicken butt was actually better than the ones I’ve had back in Taipei at the night markets. The chicken butt was extremely crisp, juicy, and flavorful. Pretty much everything was really good.
This place isn’t super clean, and the vibe of it could be a lot better. Improve the seating, and it would be an awesome late night hangout place. Yes, the prices are higher than what you would see back in Asia, but hey, we’re in the LA area where things are known to be a little more pricey. It’s worth it!
If you’re looking for some late night eats/​munchies/​snacking in the Rowland Heights/​West Covina/​Walnut area, this is your place to go.

Come here mostly around 1 – 2 am it’s pretty delicious flavor for a bbq style place. I would’ve rated 4 – 5 stars but recently their chicken (which WAS my favorite) has become dark meat :/​when it used to be cooked as beautiful white meat.
But worst, the kitchen seemed to undercook the chicken twice on separate occasions. Not cool. Brought my friends here hoping it be a great experience but it was just as much as 3 stars can get. Drink selection is great though, and the toast is a must. But the chicken is the biggest disappointment. Won’t be back for that

The store is so empty. And kebobs are way too expensive. Me and my girl spent 40 bucks for 20 kebobs and one wonton. Don’t go! not worth it. 49 bucks can buy tons of food.

I walked in, took one lap around, and high tailed it out of there. The store is 80% empty. I’m not sure how they make money. There are a lot of drinks in the front and hot night market-​like Taiwanese (?) snacks at the back. The lids were on so I couldn’t tell what they were. Perhaps these snacks are the redeeming quality, but we’ll just never know because I’m never going back.
It’s located in the same shopping center as Home Depot but in a far off corner that I would never have otherwise ventured to if I weren’t on the hunt for onigiri for my Grandmother.

Straight Asian liquor store with some raw meats on kabobs ready for grill. Decent price and don’t have to drive to la or sgv for something like this. Friend of my recommended me to eat here since I liked Feng Mao very much. It’s pretty dope although you aren’t grilling them yourself, like how Feng Mao has you do it. If you aren’t looking to cook it yourself and isn’t looking to drive distance for some kabobs this place is bomb. My friend was from a province that the owner is actually from and said the taste quality is equally the same. So, let’s just say this that authencity is !!!

This place is awesome !! The food is super good, they have all kinds of meats on sticks & Vegetables that they will cook for you, super chill place. The young guy that works there was so helpful he showed me how to pick what I want from the meats & the food in the back. Left him a good tip :)

The time it took me to enter the store and exit was less than 1 minute.
Now, this is coming from a person who LOVES grocery markets and shopping. Someone who can spend 3+ hours in target, whole foods, etc.
I expected SO much from this store. With all the pictures and high reviews, I’d thought it’d be awesome. Boy… was I wrong.
1.) The store was ¾ empty. Even the skewer boxes barely had anything.
2.) Half the space of the store consisted of a sitting section.
3.) Shelves empty and a bit pricey.
Honestly just go to your local 99 ranch market or Nijiya or even Hmart. The stuff here looked expired and old.
Not worth it.

EZ convenience … How I love thee…
We really need something like this closer to Pasadena and on the Westside.
Asian chips, pocky cookies, green/​red bean or peanut! or pudding ice creams. Masubis and stewed fish balls in the back. For what appears small in a deserted late night, Home Depot parking lot to be nothing more than a brick and mortar style 7÷11−− houses a paradise of all your favorite Asian snacks!
Sometimes I’ve seen a guy peddling a yakitori setup out front, late at night.
Somehow this place hits close to my heart, the memories of growing up or life with grandma back in Hong Kong. When I’m looking for a special treat– EZ is the place to be.

I have never been to Taiwan but it looks like Taiwan and smells like Taiwan. That is because I am Mexican but I am always down to try different types of weird food. I really enjoy the kebabs here so fresh and flavorful, yum! The only problem here is that they don’t serve them until after 6pm. They should really make them the whole day on the weekends since health department don’t work on weekends. I also suggest that they serve one of my favorite Taiwanese dishes stinky tofu. Another thing missing on their menu is black chicken with helbal soup and chicken butt on a kebob. If they added these items on their menu I would be coming here every weekend with a smile on my face and willing to spend my whole weekly check here. Overall come give this place a try I Am Mexican and I love it and I’m sure you will too!

This is a cute asian goods store… like an asian 7−11…hot food, drinks, snacks… even some makeup… prices are a little steep and their selection isn’t particularly unique. you could easily go to 99 Ranch or Marukai and find the same food items. The associates are friendly and there is plenty of parking.

Cute store they do try a lot to be like a store in taiwan. You can find many asian snacks here but you’ll also probably find it at different asian markets if you drive around. They have these hot pot skewer things in the back which different skewers would have different hot pot items in the soup. They charge by each skewer. I ended up getting one fish ball thingy with fillings inside. The flavor was realllllllly good since it’s been soaking in the broth for a while.

A few of my Taiwanese co-​workers were talking about this place so I really wanted to check it out because it’s basically the Taiwanese 7 – 11. I have been to Taiwan before and this place does capture that essence.
The store is well light, clean, and feels inviting. There are many pre-​made food bento boxes, thus the «convenience» in convenience store but it was a bit pricey. But if you are short on time and want Asian food, this place is the place to go. They do have a Japanese/​Taiwanese fish ball/​tempura bar in the back along with marinated eggs.
It is located in the same parking lot as Sam Ash and Office Depot. Depending on where you work/​live, it isn’t usually a place I would pass by but there are a lot of offices around so it may be more convenient for those who work around those areas

The first thing I thought of when I walked into EE was «Wow, I’m back in Taiwan.»
EE Convenience store definitely captures the light clean look, feel and even that fresh store smell that many of the numerous convenience stores that dot Taiwan are defined by. In keeping with the theme, the employees wear light turquoise short sleeve uniforms and the latest Asian pop songs play over the speakers.
Despite its name, EE isn’t that convenient in the sense that it’s located in a fairly shopping plaza next to the 60 freeway that suffered a lot of closed businesses in recent years. EE sure has a solid collection of packaged food items ranging from Aluminum bottled Coca Cola drinks to calpis drinks to varied ramen packs to onigiri (you can get one for free during the promotional period if you check in to Unilocal or facebook). Perhaps the truly distinguishing items this shop sells involve its self serve tempura bars and always warm fish balls, baos, and bento boxes… for the uninitiated, think of how a 7 – 11 here would keep its self serve hot dogs, soups, burgers, and burritos warm and you’ll get an idea.
I think one real disadvantage this store has is that it sells the aforementioned items at almost full retail price as opposed to the prices you might get for many of the same items, individual or bulk, at nearby 99 Ranch, H Mart, or Nijiya markets. I couldn’t find that many bento boxes under $ 5.99 and it certainly could’ve helped for the store to have more competitive pricing in that regard.
In conclusion, EE is more of an interesting place to visit than to buy things from, although I think for anyone attempting to relive memories of walking through Taipei, it would be difficult to walk out of that place without a snack or drink in hand. There are also only two small tables with some chairs outside the store for those planning to bring a computing device and use the free wi-​fi for a while.

was supposed to open a month ago (i remember it being june 9) according to Wacow (little asian advertisement mag). we have driven by several times over the past 1.5 months.
asian 7 – 11 with a fairly good location since it is next to «my dearest KTV» (that is what it’s called). it is so new that only half the magazines are up. all the merchandise is in the system but they haven’t had time to put price tags on anything.
there is a japanese style fish ball bar in the back. they have a bunch of fish balls… spicy and non-​spicy. each stick is $ 1.50. two types of soup are there to complement them… plain and spicy. (they make all the food there. a kitchen is in the back room of the store)
the fish balls are the thing to order since everyone before and after us bought it too. i liked the fish ball with the stuffing. the guy said that the yellow fish ball is really popular.
they have many drinks, snacks, musubi, ramen, bento boxes, etc. there is even a hot water dispenser so that you can make your ramen in the back. gotta check out the ramen selection. heheh.
it’s so new that they are having staff from the arcadia store cover some of the shifts since they are still hiring.
