Sad Face :( I’m so sad to hear this little gem closed! Over 15 years ago, I bought my ½ sheet cakes from here. For one, they were definitely far better than Costco(both past 10 yrs ago & even now), the quality was immaculate! Just as Cassie P’s review stated, good old fashioned butter cream moist cakes. Well I’m just thankful I was able to purchase one for each of my daughter’s birthdays during those years when they were little & up till they were preteens. The only issue I had back then and this had nothing to do w/the cakes nor the customer service; the pan handling that went on outside and the one time I almost had my cake ripped off my arms, if it wasn’t for the kindness of a good Samaritan that stepped in/intervened. But if I had to go through it again, I would, yes they were that good. Don’t know much about the new bakery that is there now, sounds like by the recent reviews that it’s really good, although I went far back to the older reviews and sounds like they had a few years of smoothing out the kinks. I’ll try to check em out and we shall see. But just seems like the old school bakeries are fading away…

Remember being 5 and your Mom getting you a huge sheet cake that had an inch of butter cream frosting and decorated with your favorite character? Those cakes were moist, sweet and sooo good. Flash forward 30 or so years… designer cupcakes, chi-chi bakeries trying replicate«homemade» looking cakes are the old fashioned sheet cakes a thing of the past??? Not at Kream Krop! Now how would a Newport Beach gal like me get my hands on a cake from Kream Krop? One of my staff lives in Inglewood. He brought one in for another staff member’s birthday and it was love at first bite! Fresh butter cream, moist cake. No chemicals. Just pure sugar fun! Oh yeah! A ½ sheet cake is only $ 23!!!
