Yesterday I brought an order of ground beef quesadilla which was served on a bed of lettuce with a side of guacamole and sour cream. So, today I decided to try it again. Ewe. Why did I do that? It was horrible. It was served on a bed of lettuce, it was a small amout compared with yesterday but the problem is that it was wet lettuce. So my quesadillas was served on wet lettuce which made the whole meal soggy and I won’t be trying that again.

Thinking of this place brings back so many awesome memories! My family started coming here when I was around four/five I think? Three times a week my dad would have a date with a few long islands and my brother and I would munch on some burrito or taco. This place is indeed a hole in the wall, but it’s a hole in the wall filled with good vibes only. When ever I visit home I make an effort to stop in and grab a bite or drink, it’s amazing that Esperanza still works here after almost two decades — the vibe here is that of like family and the food is still just as yummy.

I went here for the first time and I can tell you the food is good and the drinks are strong and cheap. Try the Carne asada tacos they are the best I’ve tasted.

If it weren’t for the cheap margaritas, I’d really blast this place! My friends go here often, and like I said, you can’t beat the margaritas for $ 4. They were pretty strong and they have a variety of them. The food itself is… Very mediocre. It does the trick to accompany your drinks and they also have happy hour food special. But I wouldn’t frequent this place. The service is pretty awful. Like… Bad. The waitress looked annoyed that we were even ordering. They barely refilled your chips and salsa. And again, if it weren’t for the happy hour I’d never return again. Nothing to run home about Unilocalers. 1 star for food, 1 star for drinks

Went to Los Ponchos last night with my girlfriends for Dinner. The Salsa was extremely hot and we couldn’t eat it. I order the wings and fries. The wings was cover with so much Red Hot sauce couldn’t really eat them either. The wings were hard and over cooked. The margaritas were weak and couldn’t taste the alcohol. I started feeling sick at the restaurant so I left. I was up all night with the worst heartburn ever! This food was just too spicy to even enjoy. I love spicy food but this was ridiculous. I been in bed all morning sick. I will never go back to this place.

What a great little spot we came across last night. Its a little dive bar for real, but the place ROCKS!!! Good strong drinks and the food was great and cheep. This might be our new little getaway spot.

Food is decent if you get it. This is my third time here. I come on my lunch breaks. The past two times, food’s taken over 30 minutes. The waiter kept saying«5 minutes more…», but after hearing that three+ times, you become skeptical. Not worth wasting time here.

Don’t get me wrong Savoy up the street has 1 of the best 2-for-1 happy hours in Inglewood… hell period, but we were Savoy’d out so we came to our 2nd spot Los Ponchos. Monday — Wednesday is happy hour ALLDAY– that’s right Unilocalers no miss print. From 11am-10pm is Happy Hour. Margaritas(regular) are $ 3.75 as are the well drinks. Imported beers are $ 4 Domestic are $ 3.50. Martini’s are $ 6. The chicken nachos are $ 6.75 which is a huge plate. You can’t beat it with a stick. Hope this helps because i, like most of you take the reviews off Unilocal(SERIOUSLY) lol

Ok. Where do I start? O have been coming here for over 20 years when Sra Yolanda was alive. I met my husband at this place then later divorce him and met some else that I dated for 7 years. I know all the staff, Don Alfonso, Alfonso Jr, his wife Veronica, DJ Afredo and Saul, Marta, well you get the point! This is(or was) my favorite place ever, until. There is a stupid waitress called Laura(yes Laura you are the reason) Through out the time that I have known Laura I have notice that she picks and choose who is going to have good service. I have seen her being rude with customers but I didn’t say anything until one day I went Taco Tuesday the place was packed, so I ask her if there was any seats available, she looked at me and walked away totally ignoring me. Next day I went back to complain to «the manager«Sandra and after that this Manager» didn’t do anything(It’s probably because they are related) So everytime I went back this Laura had a smirk in her face like saying«(see nothing happend to me)». Don Alfonso, do something about this Laura person, she is harming your business big time I see the difference in your business and I will not be surprise Laura is the reason. As for me I’m not going back to this place until this witch is gone. On my last note I want to say«Thank you«Esperanza, Marta Alicia, Marta, Mary, Ernesto, Freddy, Saul. All of you get Five Stars. I’m going to miss you guys. Gracias!!!#

I have not been here in 12 years because I relocated out of the area. This was my favorite place to dine with my kids. We probable ate here three times a week; better then the fast food places. I was very surprise to see their food is even better than before. I was so happy to see Ms Esperanza, who’ve worked here for twenty plus years. I’ll definitely be back.

Thee absolute BEST crunchy chicken tacos. Pair it with a mango margarita and I’m set. It’s not expensive either… two tacos & a margarita under $ 10 during happy hour

The music at night is awesome. Mostly the music that they play here is Merengue, Cumbia, Salsa, Reggaeton, etc. The dance floor is a bit small not that big. The best thing that they have is food late at night. No matter the time they serve you food which is awesome. They also have a lot of space to sit down since it is a restaurant. The bar is pretty big, with a variety of drinks. Good thing too is that you do not have to pay for the entrance. There is plenty of parking on the north side of the building.

This is ok for happy hour. Great prices but service sucks! The waiters are rude! Not welcoming at all! The music is great! But they need to get rid of the waiters and get a few more waitresses because they are always busy once Friday comes along. The taquitos are great! But other then that its ok for happy hour.

Been coming here for years!!! It is what it is. Cheap food and liquor. I have no complaints. Love the staff and everything is ok to me. If you are looking for an upscale spot then go somewhere else. This is a nice little gem to watch sports and get drunk.

Only gave a 1 because the food is decent. The waiter was extremly RUDE. I came for a dinner party and the lady with high eyebrows, slick bun never smiled once. Took 20 minutes to make one margarita and there was only 5 people in the restaurant at the time. If this restaurant wants to make any money they need to not let RUDE waiters greets or serve their guest. On top of many things she put two people at our table on the same bill when we clearly told her not too. Then when we tried to explain to her the issue she claimed she spoke little english. BS if that was so she would of said something from the beginning when she first served our table. I can’t believe how rude she was.

This is BYFAR my favorite hole in the wall Mexican restaurant! I’ve been coming here for years and the quality of food remains unchanged. They have a great happy hour where margaritas are $ 3.50, and a nice buffet on Sundays.

Went today for Taco Tuesday and unfortunately I wasn’t impressed with the food itself. Restaurant seemed clean and the staff was nice. I had soft chicken tacos and a couple of classic margaritas. Nothing special. Tacos were flavorless, drinks not very strong. I won’t discredit this place completely, only because I’ve heard such good things from others. Maybe one day I’ll try it again and get something different from the menu.

Been coming here for over 5 years and the food has always been good and consistent. Great drinks and great food at really good prices! Happy Hour Mon thru sat from 3 to 8 with $ 3 margaritas, well drinks, and beers and like $ 5 wings and fries, huge chicken nachos, quesadillas, etc. Ambiance and décor needs overhaul but it’s not a place to take someone to impress. go for the good drinks, food and pretty good service. Food comes fast so we go all the time! Gets really loud sometimes with people who think they are at the house or can’t handle a strong drink or Laker fans. Gabby’s the best bartender!
