I’m getting older now, so I try to watch what I eat, but I still enjoy a for a good, real meat burger and this is where I go at least once week to satisfy that hunger. I usually get a Turkey burger with fries and a beverage, pay with a $ 10 and get change back and make sure you try one of Ms. Ruby’s desserts.

Let me say this… I hosted a fabulous Cupcake & Cocktails party. I ordered cupcakes from three different bakeries. Ms. Ruby’s provided the red velvet and white cake cream cheese. I’ve had the red velvet cakes but not the cupcakes so I was alittle nervous. Initially I wasn’t impressed with presentation but I quickly got over it remembering why I came here. Now Ms. Rubys is not Sprinkles, Georgetown or Susie it’s BETTER!!! The visual presentation is not same but them cupcakes… BOMB!!! I have left over minis from the other two bakeries but Ms. Rubys regular size gone. finish… The cupcakes are also super fresh Ms. Ruby was baking them when I arrived… always a plus! You must try the cake and cupcakes here. DELICIOUS…

The best red velvet cake you’ll ever taste is being made here. The prices are extremely affordable and the ordering process is pretty reasonable. Try this place even if you must commute, order a cake not just a slice because you’re going to want more.

Went to a friend’s wedding and her cake was a red velvet from Ms. Ruby’s bakery. It was the best red velvet cake I’ve ever had and I’m big on cakes. Gotta look into Ms. Ruby for my own wedding.

So walking in its kind of crazy looking! There’s a security gate and glass windows! Lol But let me tell you something, this place has one if the best burgers I’ve had in a very long time! The spices and the ingredients were amazing! The chili cheese fries are off the wall! Great customer service!

Moist cake and cream cheese frosting was perfect. What a nice big slice of red velvet cake. Parking was coin metered only, just like the rest of Inglewood, so don’t forget your quarters. The heavily gated window was a bit of a shocker. There’s no where else around Inglewood that I know do that anymore. Am I being naïve? It’s not ghetto in that part of town. Dulan’s is two shops away. Well, anyway, I still love their cake. I would like to try more of their food in the near future!

If you want to buy a slice of Real Down Home Red Velvet Cake, Look no further!!! I had some at a friends party recently and I couldn’t believe the smooth, creamy texture of the cake ! The icing was not overwhelmingly sweet and complimented the cake almost perfectly !! **The best part Unilocalers, is that there is no bitter after taste like so many of the over priced Red velvet cakes I have tried !! I can’t wait to try some of their other baked goods !!

A neighbor suggested I try this spot. I must say I’m impressed. I have drove past this place too many times to count but better late than never. The fresh cut fries are great and fried perfectly. My burger is flavorful and not too salty. And don’t get me started on the red velvet cake. My son and I shared a slice but I should have purchased 2. The location is pretty small so dining in might not be the best choice. Food takes sometime as the food is prepared as ordered. Great prices and wonderful staff!

I’m headed to Los Angeles in two weeks. I plan on stopping by Ruby’s Bakery… They not only serve the best food on the planet, they have the greatest personalities around. It’s a small restaurant right across from McDonalds, but they can teach big burger chains a thing or two about making a good burger. If you get there before I do… …tell ‘em eriq said hello…

This is black business personified! A home away from home, the people are real, and so is the food lol. I order the lemon pepper wings every time I come for a total of $ 7.50 no tax. And the red velvet cake is homemade, and in my opinion the best cake I have ever tasted

The Red Velvet cake is the best I’ve ever had. Their hot wings would be fried longer. Their hamburgers remind me of Fatburger but w/a sesame seed bun.

Here is a“JUST A NOTE” comment I received from the owner. Notice how not one response has to do with the cleanliness or the quality of the food. He’s pretty much ranting and raving about us being mooching cheap liars. Please view my response that follows: Just a Note 5÷19÷2013 New! 32 friends 0 reviews ms rubys b. Inglewood, CA Send Message For your review of: Ms Ruby’s Bakery I found it very odd to read your review especially since you and your housband ate all of your food your housband even complimented how good his food was you two are the main reason we will never do another groupon not only didnt you tip after saying your food was good you had there nerve to want something free we have a very good reputation and carry a letter grade of A its low class mouchers like you and your lying housband who said he liked his burger that made us quit the groupon program good riddance to a free loader and your neggative comments is the result of you not Getting a FREEDIETCOKE i even remember your drink ***************************************************************************** 1) My «housband» said your fries were good. How would you know we ate ALL our food? You were in the back. I threw half my «salad» away. Did you check the trash? 2) Who tips at a burger stand? You slid us our boxed food through your bulletproof windows and under your bars. I felt like I was at a check cashing place. Why am I or better yet, why SHOULD I tip you for handing me my order. Isn’t that your job? 3) My «housband» ASKED you HOWMUCH for a refill. Your response was«$ 1». We NEVER asked you for anything FREE. We both looked at each other and decided NOT to purchase a refill for $ 1. And for the record, I had the diet coke and he had the coke. You probably remember because we complained that you gave us TWO diets when only ONE was ordered. 4) Your issue(s) with people in the past isn’t MY problem. Don’t blame«us two» and don’t lump us into whatever other situations arose at your«eatery». I tip good, I write both positive and negative reviews when I see fit. Don’t take your previous experiences with other patrons out on us. We’re entitled to our own opinion. If you don’t like it, then your in the wrong business. You can’t win every time.

The only thing I have tried is the Red Velvet cake. Man! It’s certainly the best I’ve ever had. It is super moist, soft, rich, and extremely tasty. I try not to go too often but when I do go, I’m in love all over again. I’m not a dessert enthusiast. Not a big sweet eater. But this place would definitely get me to convert.

This place is not a bakery. Just because you make a couple of cakes and some red velvet cupcakes does not make you a bakery. This is a side-walk, fast food joint with a dessert menu of a couple kinds of cake. And the guy taking the orders needs etiquette classes.

This 5 stars are for the REDVELVET cupcakes. I didn’t even like red velvet before I had cupcakes from Ms. Ruby’s but now I am a true believer! They are simply amazing. $ 24 a dozen and worth every penny:) The icing is so heavenly! Definitey try, try, try! You must call in your order(maybe a day or two in advance) and keep in mind that they only accept cash money!

Yummy! Yummy! Yumm! shrimp tacos, and might i add quite filling. The Shrimp tacos come with fried shrimp so that adds a nice crunch to your taco taste. And they also had tasty french fries. You can get all that for about 5 bucks. Which isnt bad. They are very generous in portions. The wait is kind of a lot so i suggest calling ahead of time. It took about 15 minutes to get our take-out food. But its well worth it. Next time I will get the Red Velvet cake everyone raves about: D

The only reason I noticed this place is because it’s got my name. After I Unilocaled it I decided to give it a try. The first time I tried to go I called and they were out. The second time I got lucky. .velvet.ever! I’m not big on sweets, especially cake since it’s either too dry or too sweet and this was just perfect. Moist, not too sweet, homemade. Best part? Their ATM machine was down and when the person who worked there noticed I had two bucks and some change, he told me not to worry about the other dollar. Yay Ruby’s!

BESTREDVELVETCAKEEVER!!! I don’t care who claims to have the best, she is the best. She sells to bbq joints and I found this place through them. As to the person that had a cold reception by an older lady I can attest to a ‘cold’ conversation I had with most likely the same person over the phone. The other times I spoke with a gentleman and he was nice and informative. I have had some tacos here & from what I remember they were ok. I just get the red velvet cake though.
