My favorite cupcake place in Inglewood. Cupcakes are an appropriate size, unlike at many other places. My favorite is the sexy red velvet, love the buttercream mousse icing vs. traditional cream cheese. Their strawberry cupcakes, when in season, are also really great. A lot of their icing has almond built into the flavor which is a plus for many, but not for me. Everyone seems to love the banana pudding as well. The staff has always been friendly when I’ve been there, and the price is fair.

Searched the city high and low for an authentic bean pie. Pulled up on this place off of a known street in Inglewood. Great parking lot, ok store front entrance. Inside, not so. Could use more of an updated/modern décor, some friendly staff, and definitely a newspaper stand/rack. Walked up ordered a bean pie, which was still warm. Smelled amazing until I started to eat it. It’s a little different than the ones I’ve tried from the«Brothers» street corner vendors etc. Not sure why the filling wasn’t firm it was more custard, and the topping was like some type of breading/bean mix topping. Didn’t really enjoy it to the max. But for $ 9 I ate it!

Will the real Shabazz please stand up? I don’t know who is making these pies but they taste terrible! They’re like a bad rendition of what they’re supposed to taste like! This isn’t the first time I’ve gotten bad pies from here either. It tastes like something is missing. The lady who works here is also very dry and rude. She answers the phone rude and when you come in to buy something she doesn’t act like she appreciates your business. Why businesses have people working there who clearly act like they don’t want to be there is beyond me. Unfortunately all the Shabazz have closed except for a food truck that only comes on the weekends in Leimert Park and I don’t know if that truck sells the pies.

such a humble little bakery. the place is like super low-key hole-in-the-wall kind of place. parking was quarters metered parking only. the pies were behind the glass case, and the lady explained to me what kinds she had that day. i pretty much got all the slices because they looked so good. i really enjoyed the plain bean pie, the blueberry one, and the carrot one was great. they were all made of beans but they are incredibly LIGHT. and so tasty. i’ve never had something like this before. recommend it if you are in the area. just do a pit stop and grab a slice to go!

Bean pie! Hello!!! What’s not to love! I prefer bean pies to pumpkin and potato so excuse me if I’m biased, but this is an opinion, correct? Okay, well in that case, I’d like to proclaim my love for the way they do their pies here. This isn’t to be taken lightly. Pineapple is great, so is blueberry, but nothing touches the original. Perfect amount of sweetness. The texture is nice and smooth but not mushy. Their cookies are great too. I’m sure everything is great here, but the pies and cookies are the only things I’ve tasted. I’m craving one right now and was sad I didn’t have one over the holidays.

The best dessert I’ve ever had in my LIFE! I’m new to the world of bean pies, but I am not new to dessert. And, I promise you that you will LOVE the blueberry bean pie here. The owner was awesome enough to donate these pies for a friend’s father’s homegoing services because he was such a loyal patron. And now I understand his loyalties. These pies are to die for. I had one Friday and have been thinking about it ever since. Something like heaven, y’all.
