I have been coming here for years. He is nice, quick, organized.
I love the fact that he explains to me the paperwork every time I come. He knows that I am not going to remember from year to year on what to do.
I definitively recommend this place.

Easy and he is so nice. Mike at Frios, also a great business, told me to come here because my 1998 Camry needs the star smog test now and I am glad I did.

Closes Early. this place is NOT opened till 5 like advertised. I went back for a retest after telling the guy at 3:30 that I would be back in an hour. 4:30 showed up and closed. He messed up my day, now I have to mess with this again. Waste more time.

I stopped by here this past Saturday for the dreaded smog check. There was no wait and the guy was very nice and quick! It was $ 50 for my car (year: 2000) and I was out of there in no time. I have no complaints and this place is very close to my house which saved me even more time.

Never done smog here but they showed very poor customer service. A bag got caught under the car on the freeway and making a load noise. Pulled off and into shop to see what the problem was. Mechanics looked under, said nothing was there and walked away. Needless to say they were very rude and not helpful in the slightest way. Went next door to Tire World and they not only drove it to see the problem but were extremely nice and got under to cut the bag that was rapped around the inside of the wheel.

Painless was originally recommended to me by my mechanic (Mike at Frio).
Mike (also his name) at Painless is very professional and knows his stuff. But more than that, he is genuinely nice and will take time to explain the results; not everyone does that.
He also gives a free re-​test if referred by Frio.
The place is also clean, unlike so many other automotive places.

This is the place to go if you need a reliable and quick smog check along with a reliable and professional service. This is an owner operated business. Our company has number of vehicles, and we always go to Painless Smog. We have tried other smog check places, but this place has the best price and fastest service. Painless Smog is five star in my book.

The best smog test station EVER. Service was fast, super friendly, and he electronically notified the DMV for me. I’ll be back in two years when the DMV makes me do this again. :)

DMV sent me my renewal letter, but it says at the top «SMOG CERTIFICATION REQURED AT A TEST ONLY OR GOLD SHIELD STATION» and I found the fastest place around. He closes at 5:30pm. I got there at 5:31, but he helped me anyway, I was on my way at about 5:45. Anywhere between 50 and 60 dollars is pretty reasonable for a smog test, especially when he electronically notifies the DMV for you, so all I had to do after that was renew online. This guy is FAST. This is the second time I have gone to get my car smogged over the years, and I don’t go to anyone else. My car passes (cuz I have the best mechanic in the world). I drive up. We fill out the paperwork. He fiddles with the machine and runs my engine. We’re done. Have a nice day. Efficiency is all I ask for when it comes to servicing my car.
