Excellent Food! I’m not a Vegan or Vegetarian and when my coworker suggested it that it would be a bland choice for lunch– What a great surprise that their faux burger would top any beef or sirloin burger I’ve had in a long time! I ordered the«burger» combo with Sweet Potatoes fries and the flavor of the party was seasoned & blended to perfection. I’m a new Fan of this place!

Best place for veggie burgers. The staff here is awesome and everything is made to order. Made the 1.5 hour drive just for this place. Definitely worth it!

Veg-It-Up was one of my favorite vegan spots in Los Angeles. The food was great and the staff was very friendly. I usually ordered the veggie burger special that had with a mint julip lemonade, which was refreshing even without bourbon. If it had a more convenient location, I would have done here more frequently. So my hope is they’re able to reopen in a spot where more people can appreciate it.

Really wanted to try this place but was just informed they closed their doors on 10÷11÷13. So sad because their photos looked so good.

I deducted a star because of the indifferent attitude of the woman taking our order. The other people are friendly tho :) Let me start off my saying… I am not a vegetarian. I had the kids cheeseburger i think it was… i didnt even realize i wasnt eating beef. it was pretty dang good. The mint julep was awesome too but very minty. So if you are not a fan of mint, dont order that. Its super small, there is noting but frozen and canned stuff in the store part and its not stocked. I think there may have been 3 – 5 items in the store area. Seating is limited so get there early if you’re going for lunch.

I never would have found Veg-It-Up if it wasn’t for Unilocal.I was looking for a dinner option and Veg-It-Up was suggested to me by Unilocal. So I stopped by to try out their food. Luckily I was there on Taco Tuesday, when you can get tacos for 99 cents each. I ordered a few tacos, a side of fries, and a lemonade. Not bad at all! I went back again last night and got the grilled«chicken» wrap and a blueberry smoothie. YUM. The chicken wrap was huge and crammed full of «chicken.» It is definitely a meal! The food is made to order, so be prepared to wait a few minutes. It’s worth it!

Since beginning my journey down the road of Veganism I have done quite a bit of research on Unilocal in regards to where I can now eat. Imagine my surprise when I found a Vegan restaurant right on Manchester Blvd(right off of the 405 North/South) @ Manchester. Well a few days ago(05-29-2013) I thought I would stop by and check this place out. As I pulled into the parking lot I quickly realized that I have seen this place before not once or twice but a couple hundred times. I also observed a Veg-It-Up Grill Food truck. I have a thing against Food trucks, it is nice they have one but I would never ever order food from a truck and feel Ok about it. I walked in and was immediately helped by a very helpful employee/cashier. I asked them several questions in regards to the business and the food they serve. I was handed a take-out menu and gave it a quick one over. I scanned the menu and noticed that even though the food was Vegan a majority of the items did not seem Healthy. I was pleased that all of the items on the menu are Vegan and a large majority of the options on the menu with gluten free. With saying that I will say this, I am kind of picky eater; my girlfriend refers to me as the pickiest eater she knows. I kind of got the impression that a majority of the food on the menu was good to order if you are watching a football game but not items you want to order if you want to feel fresh & light after your meal. My opinion might be far off to some but I am simply comparing the menu here at Veg-It-Up-Grill to the Menus at Rainbow Acres in Marina Del Rey & Native Food’s in Culver City. I had to try something before I walked out the door so I ordered and order of Veg-It-Up-Grill’s Sweet Potato fries, I would give them 4 out of 5 stars. They were crisp and tasted very good, I would definitely come back to this location and try other items on the menu and try and adjust my order to keep as healthy and neat as possible. I do dig that Veg-It-Up-Grill offers Smoothie blends and desserts. I will definitely come back and try their cheesecake, I will write an update once I do. Upon checking in to this location with the Unilocal application on your smart phone you receive 15% off of your bill between the hours of 2pm-4pm.

Bring your non-vegan friends here! The food is just bomb period whether you eat meat or not. The staff is awesome and friendly and they even gave me a sample of the food before I ordered to make sure I liked it haha. PS Caribbean food on Thursdays is amazing.

Veg-it-Up is a beautifully preserved diamond in the rough type of food restaurant. The Jamaican Vegan dashed food is the best i have tasted with only one other. The Drinks are so Island soothing and the food is cooked to a homey perfection. I highly recommend this place to vegans, vegetarians and anyone who likes great food. A trip here will leave your mind and stomach completely satisfied. My top 3 Veagn Places to eat for sure. p.s: I have eaten at maybe 15 or so Vegan Places ad this place is Amazing, Been Vegan for 4 years this stuff makes you appreciate my decision.

Really great, healthy, veggie food near LAX. Weird mall, hard to see the entrance, and there is no clear sign from the street. Incredible fries. Do not miss the opportunity!

Veg It Up is my favorite vegan restaurant. I am not sure if its the most healthy. But who cares, I like to endulge. I have been coming here for a couple of years. There is no other place I can get a vegan philly cheese steak(with choice of vegan or dairy cheese). The chili fries are the best. I suggest the chicken wrap for any new people. After every VegItUp visit I get the itis. I love it.

If you need to get your Vegan fix and you’re about to fly out and have an hour to spare before you check in, come here. This place is actually a bit secluded, it took me a while to find it. It’s in this industrial area on the outskirts of Inglewood. I got the philly cheese steak. It was really well marinated and with the combination of sweet potato fries, it really hit the spot before my red eye flight to Florida!

Wow. I don’t think I have anything bad to say about this place. When I first got to the place, I didn’t know it was a vegetarian place, given all the meat options on the menu. However… it was all fake meat… I guess this was an easy like, being I am an avid fan of fake meat. The menu is abundant. Lots to choose from, including veggie dogs. If they had veggie corn dogs, I might just be there weekly. If fake meat isn’t your thing, no big deal, there’s other options, including wraps. The printed menu is also interesting. It shares the different types of vegetarians out there — a good read. I’ll be back fo sho.

Veg-It-Up was our 2nd choice once we found out another veggie place we were planning on going to was closed for the holidays. SOGLAD we ended up here! first of all, the staff are delightful. so helpful & friendly & what’s not to love about tons of free samples. the food is delish! my kid had a veggie burger, they were happy to make it to her specifications. hubby & I shared the chili & a chicken salad. both were excellent. their teas are yummy, too. almost everything is vegan(or available vegan) & clearly marked. ambiance is nothing special, but clean. prices are very reasonable. a good, quick meal if you are near the airport.

THe food was DELICIOUS. I had a veggie burger and my brother got the philly cheese-steak which he said was delicious as well. I ordered a smoothie(minus the soymilk cuz its unnecessary and tastes awful IMO) and sweet potato fries. My brother ordered the lemonade and the regular fries. Well I will say this, the regular fries were OFFTHECHAIN. The sweet potato fries were good too but the regular fries were DELISH! I had great customer service. There was even a lady going around giving free samples of some fresh baked vegan muffins.(The were delicious as well btw). Now I’m not Vegan but I don’t eat dairy or red meat, pork, or poultry so I tend to eat at vegan spots often. This one is added to my list of great places to stop and eat. And it wasn’t very expensive either. Even without the Unilocal coupon the meal was below $ 30 for 2 people which isn’t always my experience with vegan places. Also this place is black owned and I like to support Black owned businesses in my community so that was an added bonus.

I would have never expected this place to be as awesome as it is from staring at it from the outside! I saw the great reviews and they are completely right. Customer service was good. The table was messy and the woman came out to clean it for us and was extremely nice about it. The whole place is really clean and organized, the shelves where the food sits is stacked so neatly and the presentation is so nice. Two tables to sit outside and while we were there we saw their food truck, which I think is awesome! The food was great. I got the hot dog without relish, yum, didn’t taste like the crappy fake hot dogs that some people sell. My boyfriend got a spicy chick’n wrap which he loved, the end it got really messy so beware! He said it was def spicy so if you don’t like spice, don’t go for it! The drinks were sooooooooo delicious! Sugary and sweet. We got cranberry lemonade and pineapple lemonade, it’s a must!

Okay so I wanted to try something different and Im the hugest meat and potatoes girl ever. Veg-it-up is soooo good! I ordered the cheeseburger combo with sweet potato fries and a juice and omg it was awesome! The customer service was out of this world, the staff there was the nicest and most attentive ever. The food was great also. I was a little doubtful at first because Im a BIG carnivore but this place is worth it. The cheeseburger was so tasty and the sweet potato fries were soooo good. The lemonade was super good also. I will definitely come back

I actually liked the Chili Burrito. You have to say to yourself when eating it, is it good? It is healthy and vegetarian! It’s not a carne asada burrito so don’t even compare it to that. SO yeah, Chili Burrito is great! Don’t skip out on their cranberry lemonade nor their sweet potato fries! It’s BOMB!

Hard to find, and worth the search!(Kind of like I hope my soul mate ends up being). :) And, I’m not even a vegetarian. Fellow Unilocaler, Isaac recommended this place. I went 1st at 9:30pm on a Tuesday(they close at 9pm), second on a Saturday for lunch(they are closed all day Saturday), and third TODAY at 3:45pm, and they are only open 12−4pm on Sundays. YAY! On Sundays they have vegetarian soul food from 12 to 3pm(which I missed), but I ordered the veggie chicken burger combo with sweet potato fries(quite tasty all around!). The veggie chicken burger had all the fixing for a tasty sandwich and an onion bun. I also ordered the mint julep lemonade. It was a bit expensive, but it was so nice not to feel guilty about eating yummy fast food! I highly recommend it.

W-O-W. What a great meal to end my year with. This place is freaking delicious and amazing! I am not a vegetarian but wanted to try something healthy around the area besides Veggie Grill & omg Veg it Up does it 10x’s better. I ordered their«Daily Special» which is a burger), sweet potato fries & their julep lemonade. I chose the chicken with cheese(choice of regular or non dairy), which comes with dairy free mayo, & I mixed the cranberry & mint julep lemonades. All those combined were just amazing. I usually don’t enjoy grilled chicken burgers because they’re really dry but this place has the most flavorful, juicest, yummo tasting chicken patty I’ve EVER tried. I’m really sad I didn’t discover this place sooner because our office is moving out the area –sadface-. My combo ran me about $ 9.79 but SOWORTHIT! Service was also amazing, everyone there was very friendly especially the woman(IDK her name). She was asking me questions & using my name. Most places will just ask for you name & forget about it but not here. She even gave some smelly bum a drink– super nice! If you’re in the LAX area, hit this place up. It is so wow ! They also have a small«nutrition» center which has healthy foods to purchase. Oh & they have free samples for Holos Naturals(Intestinal Detox).
