I took my 85-year-old mother to lunch at Five Corners about a month or so ago… she had a Reuben and ended up with food poisoning so bad that I had to take her to the hospital. When I called the deli the next day to let the manager know what had happened, she basically dismissed me on the phone and said«oh well, we’ll have to check into that». Not exactly the customer service I was hoping for. Very disappointed.

I love Five Corners Café! My friends and I meet here about once a week for breakfast. I LOVE their Hearty Oatmeal and iced tea. Their egg selections are also delicious! Five Corners is a cozy, very friendly place to eat fresh, healthy food.

Wanting a sandwich at a sandwich shop, I peruse the board and see the«Pastrami Prescription.» Pastrami, cole slaw, Russian dressing on a French roll. My, that sounds satisfying. Little did I know that I would be paying $ 8.50 for goddamn finger food! 2 or 3 measly little pre-cut strips of pastrami straight from the Costco plastic bag, a pinch of cole slaw and a slather of dressing on something that passes for a roll. What a rip-off. Then again, the place was run by teeny-boppers working the weekend shift who are more concerned with posting selfies on their iPhones. THAT should have been a warning sign. So should have been the menu board, all done up in pretty day-glo colors. Anyone looking for a good lunch should go elsewhere. A convenience store selling those hot-dogs that have been cooking all day would give you a better deal and a meal.

It was my first time at Five Corners. The café was not particularly busy at all, maybe a few patrons already seated and eating their meals, however — as I contemplated the menu with my friend, the owner stared me down and gave us the dirtiest look I’ve ever seen. Throughout the rest of our experience, this woman was glaring at us angrily and seemed to be unnecessarily upset with the waitstaff. This unpleasant experience alone is enough for me to never return to this deli… It seemed like they were angry that customers were there to order their food.

I always get the egg in a pita and add avocado and bacon. So good! I love the variety of the menu and the casual(but cute) atmosphere. The baked goods selection is also great– sweets are important.

Worth the visit for the Vermont cheddar cheese, honey ham, and apple butter sandwich on fresh sourdough bread. I only wish I hadn’t done the soup & sandwich deal. Wanted more sandwich and I wasn’t really digging the sweet & sour take on the butternut bisque that came with it. Service was great. Real hometown feel. Im from Texas and appreciated the welcome atmosphere extended– could tell it’s a regular hangout for the locals.

This is a sweet little spot tucked in a corner of Main Street. They have options for pretty much everyone. Their ingredients seemed fresh and crisp. The girl working at the front willingly accommodated all my «picky eater» requests. The staff was friendly, informative and genuinely happy to serve. Next time I’m in the area, this where I’ll definitely stop in.

Good food. Fair prices. It seems a ‘little’ expensive compared to run-of-the-mill comparisons. However, when you consider they are attempting to source locally, that helps justify the $ 1-$ 2 additional cost IMO. The sitting space is a little small, but one needs to think of it more as as a sandwich shop. Learn to go at slightly off times and all is well. Call ahead to order a sandwich. That’s pretty awesome. Some of their sandwiches are creative inventions, and their vegetarian selection is great! It is far more than the typical lame fare of «veggie burger». They actually have… options!

This is a great little deli to stop in for a super casual sandwich after a day at the beach. You order at the counter and they have an extensive list of sandwiches to choose from — nothing too exciting but plenty of solid options. I got the Country Club(just a normal club sandwich) and added avocado and really enjoyed it. Probably not a place I would got way out of my way for but I will definitely be returning when I want a quick lunch after a day at Crane Beach. Overall recommend!

This place is terrible. The few times I have gone here as a last resort I have regretted it. After today I will never go back. The service is absolutely awful. They seem annoyed to have customers. The food is really bad and not made to order. My sandwich today had a dollop of canned spinach not fresh, a sliver of a sausage link, literally one single peice of chopped onion, a quarter slice of cheese and a small peice of egg. I spefically requested no egg due to a food sensitivity/mild allergy. The order of no egg was confirmed by the rude eye rolling cashier. I will never go back. I don’t know how this place is still in business.

Went to Five Corners Café & Deli for a coffee and to do a little bit of work on my laptop. The cashier had no idea how to make a latte and charged me $ 5.89 for her lukewarm version. Then, when I was about 2⁄3 of the way into my «latte» she comes up to my table and says, «Will you be joining us for lunch? Because if not, people are going to need this table.» And then she walked away. I felt forced to leave before finishing my coffee. After gathering my things and heading for the door, I took a look back and there was not a single person in line and everyone there was already seated at a table. No one needed my table. I was overcharged for the crappy coffee and then kicked out before I even finished it! Absolutely appalling and I’m never going back.

Food is average deli style. Service is slow and zombie like. We have called in our order on a few occasions only to show up 20 mins later and wait. Lots of people milling about in the back, but not much happening. Great fishbowl view of downtown though!

The McDeli breakfast sandwich was delicious! The breakfast burrito was different, without hash browns but still tasty with guacamole.

I definitely do not like this place. Sign clearly states rare NY roastbeef, but I got mostly dry and crumbling grey meat. I brought my kids and they wanted hot dogs, but they had no rolls… well, okay, Iguess they can have a burger. Oh, no hamburg rolls either??? Finally get them to settle on grilled cheese. The cheese was melted but the bread was not grilled, it was pressed; which is not a «grilled cheese» my 9 and 10 Y/O picked up on this. I can make a sandwich at home. So if you want me to pay $ 7 for one you batter make it pretty good. Aside from my grey mystery meat my sandwich would not hold together and was all around pretty bad. Its to bad really, this town needs a place like this. But the food is not great and I did not even mention the service — because its was not worth mentioning! On another note: My wife eats here often and likes it. So consider that as well!

This place is adorable/very cute. They have a variety of smoothies, sandwiches & the best part is the vegetarian options. They list the local places of where they get things too which is nice.

Had the breakfast burrito which consisted of a cold tortilla with mush for insides. Wife had Mexican omlette and we sent it back to put the salsa and sour cream on top and they still didn’t put the chives on it. There was supposed to be chili inside, but looked like small dog food chunks and tasted like it as well. Service needs improvement as well. I can’t imagine this place will last much longer. There are certainly better places to spend your money for breakfast.

Looking for a simple lunch in Ipswich, we tried the Five Corner Deli. They have an interesting selection of special sandwiches including smoked turkey and Boursin cheese, chicken and pesto, and several vegetarian choices. I tried the Pastrami Overload. I was pleased to see that they used a good quality pastrami and a chewy, fresh French bread. No drippy orange grease on this sandwich. My husband’s grilled chicken wrap was tasty, too, but liked mine much better! Sandwiches are in the $ 8 range. They also serve breakfast which I would like to try. There was also several soup offerings including clam chowder(if course), chicken noodle among others. It’s a casual, seat yourself kind of place. You order at the counter and they bring it out to your table. If you’re in the area and would like something with more variety than the standard pizza place, or an alternate to the clam shack, check this place out.

Delicious sandwiches! It’s a fun, quick stop for a delicious lunch. There isn’t much seating, but it isn’t usually very busy. Nothing fancy, but reliably yummy.

I really like this place. They aren’t very fast if you’re in a hurry but their sandwiches are always verrry yummy. I really enjoy that they get their ingredients from local farms and such around the area. It is nice knowing what you’re eating is also supporting local farmers. They aren’t very expensive either. I’d say they’re a win win situation.

I have never had a sandwich at Five Corners that I haven’t enjoyed. I used to eat here while pregnant, which cancels out a lot of deli sandwiches(damn you, meat slicers and your listeria!!!), but I always found a delicious meal that satisfied my normally insatiable hunger. The grilled chicken pesto sandwich was a favorite. Last time I went, I got the roasted turkey sandwich which comes with avocado — yum! I also like Five Corners because they have local drinks and chips, which are all very good. My only criticism is that it can take a while to get your food. The kitchen is small, and you can tell by how long it takes for food to come out. This is fine under normal circumstances, but when you only have a half hour lunch, it sometimes means eating back at your desk if you didn’t think to call ahead. Definitely a favorite lunch spot, though!
