Close to town and beyond beautiful with yesterday’s fresh dusting of snow, this Grade I climb is fun and really deserved a camera to capture the images now etched in my memory. It’s mostly free climbing although if I could find someone trustworthy to belay, ropes and harnesses would add to the enjoyment. Frankly the views and rock formations deserve a 4 star rating i f only the«nature lovers» enjoying the area loved nature enough to pack out there garbage and beer cans. The lack of alone time is a bit aggravating, however I’m probably getting into the other climber’s space just the same. Parking is along the Hwy, which appears a little unsafe, go get off the roadway as far as allowed, and watch for traffic. There is(now closed) an old dance hall, swimming/recreation area from the 40s-60’s, a fun archeology geek’s excursion and a great place for lunch
