17 Food trucks. 3500 attendees. Benefiting a good cause. Live music. Entertainment. Free stuff. Raffles. It was great to see an amazing turnout from people coming from all over LA and OC. Nom Nom and Komodo trucks represented LA, and all the popular OC trucks like the Lime and Burnt truck were there. Fun event with good food… and the cleanest porto-potties I’ve ever seen in my life. Seriously, they were nice.

The Good: Food Trucks and a good cause. Well, it seems that every food truckfest revolves around for a cause. This was a great event during the weekday. Like Trina D said there were about 16 trucks, a great turn out. Most of the trucks were from the OC I think only the Nom Nom Truck was from from LA, but I was told Komodo is too. The venue was big and the layout was perfect for a food truck event. There was music, food, and even a Unilocal booth. The crowds were not outrageous like other fests that I’ve been too. Good size lines but they moved quickly. The Bad: I think this was their first try, somethings could have been better. The shuttle was not really labeled, no times, and the stops were just«it should stop over there somewhere». The Ben: Let’s face it, this event was all about the Nom Nom Truck. They were the only LA truck and they had the longest line(they always have the longest lines). They brought out their new truck the Nomacita but the BESTPART… Misa was running the truck. So CUTE!!! We need to find a way to get the Nom Nom truck out to the OC more often. She gets +5 stars alone: D

Last night I counted about 16 food trucks that made it out to support a worthy cause. Alzheimer’s affects more people than you think. This event helped to raise money for a wonderful organization. How cool was this?! I was one of the lucky few that won VIP tickets to the event and man was it pretty awesome to sample food from my old favorites to my newfound loves! Valet parking was a cinch and I was able to check in with the ladies at the VIP booth. I made my way around the venue and checked out all the trucks. I got to chat with Hazel Q. at the Unilocal booth and went around to check out the festivities. I should have brought my dog Suki, who would have loved this type of thing, but I couldn’t justify driving home and driving back with gas prices being ridiculous these days. Oh well, she’s fine. I guess I could have eaten at the famous Nom Nom truck. Kudos to them for being celebrities, but I don’t know if I ever want to pay $ 6 for banh mi sandwiches when I can go to Little Saigon and pay $ 1.50. They had the longest line there so I hit up Komodo, Barcelona-On-the-Go, Lime Truck, Fuze, and the Burnt Truck. I really wanted to try out BaconMania but ended up going home after having the crispy gnocchi at the Lime Truck. It was definitely worthwhile to get there early and leave full. Those valet guys really busted their butts and hustled. Overall a great time and wonderful that some money went to a worthy charity.
