This place is ALWAYS crowded when I visit, but hey! It’s at UCI, what would you expect? It helps tremendously that the staff is super patient and friendly. The pizza is always so delicious and fresh, not a bad deal! For under $ 10/pizza, I always finish half and then save the other half for my next meal! My favorite thing about Blaze is that they offer Goat Cheese. GOATCHEESE! Who knew it would transform your pizza into something otherworldly!

GOIN’ UPP, ON A Friday. Or was it Saturday? Point being, most people want to have fun and be on vacay during the weekends, however even at 11:39 am on a weekend, the service and staff still are genuinely kind and seem like theyre happy to be there to help you and your hunger. That’s an amazing quality to have in a company! I give it five stars for the service and 4 stars for the amazing pesto-y pizza! I brought it home and reheated it and it tastes just as magnificent!

Blaze is quite similar to Pieology, where you have the option to build your own pizza or choose from a variety of, «signature» pizzas. They offer gluten-free and high– rise dough, which is nice for those who have issues with gluten or those wanting a thicker crust. On this trip, I decided to build my own pizza. The pizza itself could be consumed in one-setting, if you pace yourself. :p The vegetable toppings I chose seemed to be fresh at this location(spinach, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, onions & roasted garlic). What killed it for me was the chicken — tasted like it could’ve been canned chicken? I did appreciate the staff — they were very friendly and courteous with guests, even during rush hour. Overall, my experience with the food itself was, «A-OK.»

For all the picky eaters in the world, this is the pizza place to go! … unless you are into thick dough pizza or deep dish, this is thin crush(but they even have gluten free dough… in case you are celiac or just fell into the fad). For one low fix price you can add all the ingredients that you want, including 4 options of base sauce(that’s the detail that makes a difference for me, I’m a tomato sauce hater). Don’t be shy, if you want more cheese, tell them to add more cheese, they are happy to oblige.

I’m generally not a fan of pizza. Amongst the recent popular build-your-own pizza chains like Pieology and Ugly Pie, Blaze Pizza is the absolute best. Ingredients are fresh, crust is just perfect, and most importantly, they are so tasty! The price is also very reasonable. For a non-pizza fan, Blaze has got me hooked.

Let’s just get this straight, the food is quality for a chain restaurant. I used to come here on a weekly basis until they completely restaffed, twice. The new staff go by the rules of the book and some of them don’t know what they are doing. At least they know how to spell names, unlike cough cough starbucks cough. Their lunch lines go out the door most of the time due to the over flow of university students. There lines are 25 minutes at the max. If you want no line you have to come at 4 on a school day. If you order online ITMAKESNODIFFERENCE. You would expect them to be done, but no they start it as soon as you come. Im not going to disagree for the price, its better than most places in the university town center. Almost $ 8 for a build your own is steal. The staff could have better communication. They pizza cutters are like please ask the cashier ahead of time for bbq on your pizza, when I already do. Their pizza is a bit overcooked but thats the way I like it. All and all its quality pizza if you are willing to pay the time.

Where do I begin? Fair price and excellent freshness and quality. What more do you want? Im not much of the greesy pizza person. And Im definitely not up for paying almost $ 20.00 for a greese ball pizza from papa johns or pizza hut. Then I discovered Blaze where I could make my own and at a fair price. Fresh ingredients. Great service. The line can become a problem at times but when it’s that popular, it’s understandable. Best pizza in town. You won’t regret eating here.

The pizza is delicious, but we just had to wait 25 minutes for an online order that was supposed to be ready to go in the oven when we arrived. We saw several queues full of people get their pizzas well before us, including a group that sat down from ordering and seconds later had their names called and their multiple pizzas ready, 20+ minutes after we’d checked in at our«ready to be fired» time. Usually ordering online achieves the goal of avoiding the wait in line, but tonight was a miss. They need to work out the online ordering system. What’s the point of ordering online to skip the line when our pizza wasn’t even made until we asked where it was? And then they seemed to be burning them all! The guys cutting the pizzas were trimming the very black crust edges to try to mitigate damages. We do really like the taste of the pizzas and the toppings, including zucchini and gorganzola, but it’s a total crap shoot if ordering online will beat the line or not.

Yes Yes Yes!!! I just found out blaze is in Irvine!!! Thank you who ever owns this particular location. I may be late to the opening party since it has 700 reviews! There are a ton of fast fire pizzas around… Pieology, 800 degrees, pizza rev… Honestly they are all not true Italian pizzas OTHER than blaze ! I sorta feel like I can say that since I am Italian :). Blazes ingredients are the best! Not as many as pieology but who cares! It’s better since you don’t make the bad mistake of getting the bad topping ! The service is great and fast duh! This location is soooo clean! It’s going to do very well. Oh i love how they switch gloves to make gluten free pizza! A+ not necessary but nice ! Keep up the good work

My kids and I, freshly on our new gluten free and dairy free diet, decided to give Blaze a try. The staff was aware of allergies and asked if they wanted us for them to change their gloves. Bonus points! We order the gluten free crust and make your own pizzas. For my kids we had the red sauce and goat cheese topped with pepperoni, green peppers, olives and bacon. I splurged on both meats and veggies! It was high in flavor and did not disappoint! My daughter exclaimed, «Mom can we come here everyday?!» Yeah, you win our vote Blaze!

I normally love Blaze Pizza but this location needs some training. It was packed when I went and took 10 min for me to get to the first person to greet me and it seemed they were taking their time compare to other locations. A few of the male employees had female name tags on lol. I finally got my pizza after 10 min which is still fast but not as fast as other locations. Some of the sodas on the soda machine weren’t available and the tables were messy. I hope I can come back and have a better experience. The pizza is really good for the price.

Overall this place is pretty good. It’s greatest strength is its convience. It is really nice that you can«build your own» pizzia with unlimited toppings. Beware if you have allergies though, this place might be a hazard since everything kind of mixes due to the nature of the place. It’s all the same price no matter how many toppings you get, which is nice. Super thin crust and a gluten frendly option if you can’t do gluten, but again if it’s an allergy contamination could pose a significant problem. The staff is nice but always rushed through because of the line and you can tell they don’t really want to be there most of the time.

Okay Blaze, I must admit, y’all are pretty awesome. A build your own pizza with unlimited amounts of toppings for only $ 8.59 including tax?! That’s pretty incredible. I love their thin crust pizzas and the texture literally melts in my mouth. The only problem I had was the crust was a little too burnt. My roommate also had a build your own pizza here and his crust was really burnt as well. However, the toppings were all amazing and my stomach was definitely satisfied. Parking can get pretty hectic at UTC so expect the parking lot to be full with cars. The interior design is pretty simple and clean. The inside is very spacious, but it can get pretty crowded and lines are super long(pretty obvious why lines are always long). It can get loud and the music is pretty loud so if you’re not a huge fan of noisy restaurants, you should take it to go. I’ve had Blaze Pizza a few times in the past and I always had a great experience going in and out. After trying pizza here, no other place taste good. I have to go here now if I want some delicious slices of pizza. I highly recommend to anyone who want quality AND quantity.

I grew up eating pizza all my life, and yet this is my first time at Blaze. I was very impressed! For $ 8 and change, you can build your own pizza with unlimited toppings: O(they have special pizzas that you can choose from as well). Of course, unlimited toppings means less of each topping being put on the pizza. When we asked for smoked ham, there were oly 5 pieces places, when we asked for tomatoes… only a small handful was scattered. Regardless, I doubt you will be getting a better deal elsewhere :)

Oh man is this Blaze Pizza review long overdue! I ate here when it first opened and I was in love. It was a perfect place to eat right after getting a drink from Cha for Tea. But then my Cha for Tea addiction is long over so I do not get the chance to eat in this area as much. Blaze Pizza is all about fast lightning speed! And WOW! Are they sure quick! They know how to get you through the assembly line in like a couple of minutes. It is so inventive and so classic at the same time! In line, you get the choice of customizing your pizza or ordering it pre-made. Also, you are welcome to add other items to your pre-made pizza. The blazin’ staff are really nice and helpful. They seriously know their stuff and will let you know if a certain combination will not taste good. I even got into several conversations with them as I went through the line. YEE! I know I am that girl(haha). My only complaint about Blaze Pizza is that it will turn super soggy and not as yummy when you take it home. Recooking the pizza in the oven won’t help the sogginess go away either(sadly). Other than that if you are planning on eating at Blaze Pizza then make sure that you are eating it all at the restaurant! I do want to say go head on over to UTC, but Blaze Pizza is located almost everywhere! Rather I will say head on over to the location nearest you and enjoy! WEEE! ASALWAYS, NOMFORLIFE!

Despite walking past Blaze almost every day on my way to campus, I don’t actually eat here very often! If I have to eat near campus, I usually go to one of the cheaper, more convenient options like In-n-out or wendy’s – but honestly, blaze is a great deal for what you get! A make your own custom pizza is only a little over 8 bucks, and you can pile as many toppings as you want! The servers here are friendly and helpful. They move you through the line quickly, and your pizza is baked fresh really quickly. I came in today and my pizza was baked in about five minutes! If you don’t like customization, they have lots of tasty pre-made pizza selections! I personally love the white top pizza(but you can customize your own pizza with white sauce and you can also get fresh arugula on any pizza after its baked). Convenient, fast and absolutely delicious!

Just BLLLLLAAAAAAAAZZZZEEEEE! I couldn’t help myself LOL So one day around the holidays, I had a hankering for pizza. I didn’t want your typical commercialized Pizza hut type of spot. So fired up the Unilocal app and I came across Blaze since the other Chipotle style pizza places were closing within 15 min and Blaze had another hour and a half left. So I got my clothes on and headed out the door. I looked at the Map app since I’m still pretty new to the vast Irvine. I didn’t take the freeway because the mileage didn’t seem long. Boy I should have taken the freeway LOL. I’ve never taken Jeffery that far south when it turns into University LOL. I felt like I was going to the damn Enchanted forest o_O I’ve never eaten in this area before so it was all new to me. I finally make my way and I notice all the options of food for these spoiled college kids have: p I walk in and there were 2 people in front of me. When it was my turn, a little kid runs up to the counter and asks the worker, if he can get another pizza made. The server tells him, «I’m sorry, she’s the last customer, since we’re closing early tonight, due to construction.» LOL That’s what his fat ass got for trying to cut me in line. Greedy guts had a look in face like someone took his favorite toy away LOL. Given his background, you’d think his family told his ass about Karma haha. I’m so glad I walked in when I did, because with all that driving I did to get there and get turned around because of early closing hours, I would have been pissed! They turned down 3 more parties walking in hehe. Lucky me, I get all their undivided attention. The service was great. The two ladies that helped me were so sweet and very personable. They could be the types to hang out with outside work: p I did two types of pizzas because I didn’t want a half and half bleeding onto the other side of the pizza LOL plus these do it yourself pizzas are so cheap there’s no need to be a cheap bastard about it :) The first pizza was your classic toppers, pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. The second pizza was mozzarella, goat cheese and arugula. They add a drizzle of olive oil and a little salt and pepper. I went to the cashier to ring me up and he was too cool for school but nice nonetheless LOL. He asked if I needed any sauces and of course I wanted some ranch and pesto. I said my goodbye’s to the lovely employees and I was on my way back home. I took the freeway back LOL. Got in and plated one slice of each pizza. Took a few bites and my mouth was happy: p They definitely use quality ingredients. I can dictate how much toppings I want so there is no complaints on lack of toppings. The crust wasn’t thin nor too thick. It was just right and I love how it was seasoned and not just plain ashy crust. The pizza makes great leftovers and reheat up great in a toaster oven. I ate off my leftovers for days since it’s just me these days and I don’t have to share: D I was left with a good first impression on the service alone but the food was just as good. I wish they make one on this side of Irvine. Campus area seems so far ahahahahahaah: p

I’m glad Blaze specifies that the«Fast» in its name only refers to «Fast-Fire’d,» because it’s definitely not a fast experience. I mean, once you order, they’re not lying when they say it only takes 180 seconds or so to cook your pizza. The problem is, it takes closer to 180 minutes to put your order in. The line is going to be ridiculous at any time you want to be eating here, so do whatever you have to do to survive it: pay a needy college student nearby to wait for you, bring a book and a portable urinal, eat another meal while you’re standing there, etc. etc. The pizza’s actually kinda worth it. For one, it has a leg/dollar up on places like Pieology by charging $ 7.95 for a build-your-own. Second, the crust is well-suited for stacking toppings without being either too doughy or cardboardlike. Also, while some of the meat looks rather sad(I’ll never touch the pepperoni, for instance), they’ve got a good selection of vegetables including basil and non-pizza offerings, which I’ve never seen in person. Also beer, if that’s your thing. I do occasionally Blaze up later on weeknights and it’s much emptier then, so if you ignore the guilt of eating your own pizza after 9 you should be good.

Came back again because I was in the area and ended up with not a single complaint. Service was excellent once again and this time, they fixed the sogginess of the pizza while maintaining crispiness. I was able to hold the pizza with my hand and maintain the toppings on the pizza. Total win and this Blaze will now be my go-to in that plaza. Highly recommend if you want a pizza to go with your show binging or chilling but are strong enough to resist being lazy and ordering dominos delivery…

Now this is a restaurant i wish they had in reno/sparks. The concept is ingenious. It is very much like subway or port of subs. You get in line and build your own personal pizza for 7.95. You can put as many toppings or as little as you want. The cool thing is the pizza is thin crust and takes only three minutes to cook. It comes out piping hot, because it is cooked in a 600 degree pizza oven. The dough is made fresh every day and not frozen. The pizza was cooked perfectly, crispy but not burnt. The line was literally out the door the entire time were there. This restaurant has been open for three years. To have the line out the door after three years, they have to be doing something right. The price is affordable, the pizza is big enough to split and it tastes great. Like i said before, i wish this was in reno.

BLAZEHASSTOLENMYHEART. After trying Blaze, I can never go back to Pieology. For a restaurant that also does the assembly line set-up, Blaze uses better quality ingredients in every aspect. From the dough of the pizza having a crust to better quality meat to better quality marinara sauce, everything about Blaze made me fall in love with it. I’m a huge pizza lover, and I was very impressed with Blaze’s quality for its price. If only Blaze had locations in San Diego though. I was only able to try it because I was up in Irvine, and I have to say I would love to try it again and again. and again! Unlimited toppings. Completely customizable. Affordable. It doesn’t get much better honestly.

Basically a pizza version of Chipotle where you go down an assembly line and build your own pizza or order off of the predesigned menu. All of the crusts here are very thin and there’s a nice assortment of toppings, cheese, and sauce. The taste is yummy but nothing mind blowing, I would categorize it about the same as Pieology. Lines can get out the door around lunchtime but I went at 3 and it was completely empty. They also have cool things going on like giving away free pizzas on pi day. All of the workers are very friendly; Erika explained the menu and checked up on us as well as took our plates when we were done. Not a super must try place but good if you’re in the area.
