Wow! These guys are spot on!
I have been having issues with the electric for a month or so with flickering lights upstairs and downstairs. Thought the downstairs was fixed, but a week or two later it starts flickering again, only worse with the lights completely going out and coming back on. The upstairs got soooooo bad, the electricity in parts of the upstairs would go off for hours at a time and randomly come back on. What’s with that??? The month being October might just be a coincidence.
I have had several other electricians out to look at the problem. Thankfully, I didn’t pay much! With no results! Big surprise, right! Then, a lot of phone time wasted as most electricians had long wait times or wanted up the kazoo for checking out the problem.
Finally I got a recommendation for McBride Electric. I call them and find out they have a new name, Critical Electric Systems Group (CESG). No biggie, the person was super understanding and pleasantly was able to schedule someone to come the next AM to look at the electric issue. Jim M. showed up promptly. Checked everything out and found the switch and plug outlets had some wiring issues. Jim M. and JImmy P. came out the next day to go through the whole house and check the switch and plug outlets. They double checked the breakers.
Low and behold I have full electricity back in my house. No more flickering or not working plugs!!! Guess what? The estimate was pretty darn close to the bill and a little lower.
So if you need a good electrician, call these guys!

CLIFF’S NOTES? CESG is the best electrician in South Orange County. Hands down.
We have been dealing with electrical issues for over a year in our home. Since day 1 we had no power to our bathroom outlets, the dryer outlet was not supplying enough power so the highest I could run it on was low (this was torture for a family with 3 small kids!) and if we ran our courtyard fountain, our fridge in the garage turned off. We called out 2 electrician companies and they were both horrible. Rude, incompetent and pricey. The first team couldn’t figure out the problem and requested that I pay $ 1500 so that they could try something. When I refused, they told me to buy a gas dryer. Horrible. Second team came out, couldn’t figure it out, yelled at me because my husband had tried to fix the dryer outlet and didn’t do it to code. Then they told me they needed to come back with a tracer. Because I have endless time to meet with electricians. They came out again and got pissy because they still couldn’t figure out the problem, even with their fancy tracer. They told me they weren’t going to «waste» any more of their time because the issue was my husband’s bad home depot fix job in the laundry room. I asked what their solution was and the main guy said he wasn’t going to do anything until I paid him to fix that outlet. I said I have no problem paying but the bathrooms and fountain weren’t working BEFORE my husband tried to fix the plug so I know that’s not the issue. Apparently that was the wrong response because he said he was done and slammed the door in my face. (we were talking in the garage — he was in garage, I was inside) I ended up asking him to leave because his outburst made me feel very unsafe in my own home. At this point, I told my husband I would just flat iron my hair in the kitchen and I wasn’t going to meet with any more F**KING electricians.
Fast forward a year and my husband gets me an electric car. Yay! The sales people tell me that I need to install a special outlet and to call an electrician. They have approved vendors, yada yada. I told them I didn’t get along with electricians. They still urged me to at least get a quote. Okay, fine. I reached out to 3 and got 2 responses. I had my husband call and set up an appt.
Wow! What an amazing appointment. Jim came out and I told him the whole sob story. Poor Jim! He was so awesome, though. He worked for hours with my 4 year old following him around and he didn’t give up until HE FIGURED IT OUT! YAY!!! Mind you, it was hot as hell that day and my 4 year old was all up in his business. He really was a gem. So he solved the mystery of the bathrooms, he solved the mystery of the under powered dryer and he solved the crazy power sucking fountain. He also charged us less than what the other idiots wanted me to pay to «try something out.» We ended up getting the car charging plug, too. Thank you so much, CESG! You’ve made my electrical dreams come true. :)

I got to hand it to this team, they go above and beyond to help and provide quality service. I met them via Tesla, I had a Tesla HPWC wall charger that became non responsive. A call to Tesla, and CESG scheduled me to diagnose my issue. Johnny showed up and went through his diagnostic procedures as a Tesla trained technician. He found that I had a defective unit, and provided me with a replacement unit supplied by Tesla. Johnny was very quick, knew what he was doing and was great to talk to.
Anyone needing work, I can say first hand from what I saw, these guys have it together, big thumbs up to Johnny and the CESG team.!!
