Discount Airport Shuttle

We used this company a few times when we stayed in Hollywood. The service and communication was fantastic and the drivers were very friendly. Nothing was a hassle for them. I would highly recommend this company.

My family and I recently used Discount Airport Shuttle between John Wayne Airport and the Disneyland Hotel for our group of four adults and four young kids. We had an excellent experience. Shuttle van was at the curb on time both for arrival and departure, clean and driven by friendly drivers. The drivers, Mike and Andy, were very nice. Price was very reasonable. We definitely would use them again. The van comes equipped with booster seat and car seat. I wanted to post this since other negative reviews were not representative of our positive experience.

Great price for shuttle, $ 8.00 to Anaheim hotels, however:
My flight was delayed 2 hours, so when I arrived at SNA and called the pick up number, I was told the driver had left. I was informed that I should have called to let them know. Long story short, I had to take a taxi to my hotel. The up side is that my prepaid fare was reimbursed.

If I could give no stars, I would. Our driver was very pleasant and likeable, but Moses (the owner and dispatcher) didn’t let him know to pick us up from our hotel, so he was 35 minutes late. I shouldn’t have been surprised since they were late picking us up from the airport several days earlier. This pick-​up was scheduled for 3:30 pm. When 3:40 came along and no driver or phone call had made an appearance, I called them. Moses said he would call the driver and call me right back. I called him again at 3:45. He said the driver was a couple of minutes away. A minute later, our driver called to let us know that he had just received the call at 3:46 pm to pick us up and would be there at 4:00. I called Moses back to let him know I was not happy. He didn’t care. He said that we will be going straight to the airport, so «what’s the big deal?» I explained that my time is a big deal and that if you schedule a pick-​up for 3:30, then you should be there at 3:30. If you can’t be there on time, then you should call to let your customer know. There are other things I could’ve been doing instead of sitting outside the hotel irritated. He said the driver had a lot of other pick-​ups and that was why he was late. However, the driver had already told me that he just received the call for pick-​up, so I know Moses lied to me. He forgot to put in the pick-​up and was trying to cover his butt. He was very rude and kept saying that it’s not a big deal and asking why I don’t understand that. He didn’t apologize once. Apparently customer service/​satisfaction, courtesy, respect and punctuality are not concepts that he is familiar with. You get what you pay for. I will pay for better service next time.

Sadly I can’t give less than 1 star. I prepaid round-​trip and the trip to the hotel was uneventful, though I did wait a good 20 minutes. They never picked me up on the way to the airport. I called a day earlier and they asked for details as to where to pick me up and my hotel, which concerned me. I called two hours before my flight, the time they said they would pick me up, and was told they are on their way. I called three other times and they never answered, and I finally had to call a cab. I called again to let them know that I expect reimbursement for my prepaid shuttle fee and the cab fare, and they never responded. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau and posted on tripadvisor and several travel forums. Hopefully people will see it.

Third time using the service and they were late again. I had to drive to the airport to avoid missing my flight. I will not be calling them again.

I recently used Discount Shuttle to get me from John Wayne Airport to Disneyland and back. The $ 8 per person each way rate was a steal!!! The driver Andy was awesome!!! When he arrived at the airport my friend and I were the only people he had to pick up. He didn’t waste any time (as supershuttle has in my past experiences) and got us to Disneyland quickly! On the way to the park I had mentioned that when I entered my departing flight time the automated system on their website scheduled our pickup time at 5:55. Being that I have flown out of John Wayne before I know it isn’t a busy airport (especially on a Wednesday evening) and felt that was an early pickup time for my 8:45 flight. Andy was really understanding of my concerns and asked me what time I wanted to be picked up. I told him I felt 7:00 — 7:15 was a more appropriate time. His response, «I’ll see you at 7:00.» This made me feel much better knowing I would have more Disney time and less wait around at the airport time! Upon pickup at Disneyland, Andy remembered my name and even let me use his phone charger as my cell phone battery was very low from taking pictures. He was super friendly asking how our trip was and what rides we liked best. This made us feel like we were being transported by a friend rather than a stranger! Needless to say, I recommend Discount Shuttle and I will use them on my next Disneyland adventure!!!

Do not take this service. They were 45 minutes late picking us up, so we had to take a taxi.

Prepaid for RT transportation to Anaheim COnvention Center from SNA. Was going to take Disneyland Express but they shuffle you around at the Disneyland Californian and Discount has an $ 8 special. Yes the vehicle was an older van but I got door to door service. They called me. Told me they would be there in a couple of minutes. Not luxury transportation but not a bus full of screaming children, either! Obviously YMMV but I was satisfied and the price was right.

What’s strange is my office is walking distance from the airport yet everyone loves to get a service and get reimbursed. Nothing wrong with that if you travel regularly, but mostly they use taxi’s unless you know people here who are willing to drop off and swoop. I’ve done all, but recently decided to do it on my own dime since I was flying out for pleasure.
I called them versus booking online because it was kind of last minute decision since it is so close.
5:15 flight and I get off at 4. Move my car to long term spot since it’s the weekend and then I wait out from. 4:05, 4:10, 4:15 and I’m wondering what’s up, 10 minutes before I start walking (10 minutes to the airport). Zoom, driver pulls up with subway on his breath, obviously rushed and apologetic, but friendly and courteous. 2 things had me think of looking sideways on this was he was late and 2^nd he questioned why I was using a service if it was so close. Sometimes I just want to blow money, ok guy. $ 22 for a service I don’t need is what I’m about. No tip for you my friend. He was obviously mad and chirped the tires as he left.
Towncar was black and clean, but not waxed up. I expected it to smell like an air freshener, but it smelled like subway. I’m not sure how they calculate their rates, but $ 22.00 for half a mile seems excessive, but I see that it’s a set rate since the cars probably come from a central location. It’s a convenient service, but having used similar services to other airports I can tell you it’s hit or miss, but usually miss.
