The reason why I gave this location ONE star is because of the really rude, aggressive, hispanic male employee. He constantly talks to me in a mad way and displays extreme poor customer service. It’s early in the morning & I’m just trying to grab some coffee and a bagel but he constantly talks to me as if he’s annoyed(?). He speaks so aggressively and loud and acts like he doesn’t wanna be there. That was to not only me but all the other customers that were there! The food and coffee are all great! They deserve 5 stars for that, but I, including LOTS and LOTS of other people will NOTBERETURNING back to this location until management fixes this.

I should begin this review by stating my honest intent– I had a very specific and uncomfortable experience with a very rude and aggressive male employee. It does reflect poor customer service though… Came in at 9:00 am on a Saturday Morning, line out the door. No big deal, I’ll wait like everyone else. After about ten minutes a lady walks in with three kids; walks right up the front of the line and begins to order. A few customers protested(out loud) and the employee in question(Mr. Loudmouth let’s call him) began to loudly argue with one of the customers. According to Loudmouth it’s Einstein Brothers policy if someone want to order a dozen. I asked the employee«What about the rest of us?» the 12 or so people waiting patiently in line and Loudmouth started to shout his argument at me. If he had spoken to me on the street like that– It would have been considered a threat. No cursing– just aggressive, and direct eye contact calling me «Bro.» I walked out without bagels or coffee, but before I left I said«You can’t yell at your customer’s man– it’s bad business.» I will not be returning to this location again. I called their customer service line and explained the situation. Hopefully Mr. Loudmouth gets sacked; he has no business dealing with customers. I think the DMV is hiring– he would fit in perfect there.

I’m giving a 4 for bagel taste, selection, and quality. I don’t really like their coffee, but drinkable. I’ve come here a bunch of times over the past few years and service is great sometimes. I came here a few days ago in the morning and service was great, even with a long line of people, it was fast, efficient, and I was out of there in a few minutes. Other times it has been so-so. What is really great about this location is that they open super early, 5am on weekdays and 6am on weekends.

I think this is a solid quick breakfast location. I enjoy their bagels(and maybe a coffee) every now and then, although I’m not typically the biggest bagel for breakfast kinda person. Particularly if I’m taking a trip out of my way somewhere for one(vs. say… having a bag of bagels from the grocery store in my pantry to grab quickly on the way out the door to class/work) I will say that they do have a great variety in bagels(asiago, jalapeño, blueberry, cinnamon raisin, chocolate chip, onion, everything… just to name a few) and it’s very convenient if you’re supplying breakfast for several co-workers or friends one morning. The containers that the bagels come in is also notably adorable. I came in one morning, craving something a bit more special for breakfast and ended up with the Nova Lox bagel. I thought it was all good, except the amount of cream cheese they slather on the bagel is just astounding to me. Maybe I’m just not a big cream cheese(or any type of cheese in general) type of person, but I felt like I was getting mouthfuls at some points. I’m not too sure if I’ll be revisiting that menu item anytime soon. Overall, they’re solid bagels but I’m not typically one to go out of my way to purchase a bagel in the morning. Particularly bagels drowning under thick layers of cream cheese. Definitely hasn’t become a regular breakfast spot or anything like that for me yet. Still waiting to be impressed.

Sandwich bagels heaven. The food quality is… decent. Those bagels are in no way gourmet, and the quality of ingredients definitely isn’t #WholeFoods, but the staff is excellent, even with me, who finds a way to customize the hell out of every single menu option. Would appreciate more vegan/vegetarian options.

They have a pretty good selection of bagels and spreads. The honey almond shmear and strawberry ones are my favorites. But if I had to choose, honey almond hands down. I always get the blueberry bagel because it’s my favorite. I tried their cappuccino, and it’s not bad but nothing where I think, «man… this is some damn good coffee.» The milk foam is not that«micro.» lolz. No wifi so it’s not a good place to get work done. But the overall ambience /environment is pretty cozy. They have cute artwork and seems like a place where you would go in the morning to read the newspaper with bagel and coffee… I guess kind of like a place where old people would go but not in a bad way. :) Ooh on Mondays they have a special for $ 6 for a dozen bagels, so that’s pretty nice of them to do that. Kudos for that!

Came here for lunch for first time and they had a great selection of baked goods and breakfast/lunch ideas. Ordered a pretzel bagel with turkey and cheese toasted. It was really delicious, along with a bag of chips and drink. They have indoor seating and the store had some fun pictures on the wall. I liked this place. I understand it is a east coast favorite. I look forward to returning!

I just love these bagels! And I just love the variety! Their sourdough are delish! And then there’s the fact that they open at 6AM on the weekends. It’s great! Bonus: Get your baker’s dozen(13) bagels + two smears on Monday morning and get an additional $ 3 discount. Score!

On that morning they did had a pretty good presentation of bagels on display. I wanted to chose their most simple bagel which was the plain bagel(toasted), and of course I would need a side of cream cheese with th

My readership should know I really like Einstein’s Bagels. It’s a nostalgia thing for me, and if you don’t know about their awesome shmears, I feel sorry for you and you should go there ASAP. This is a chain. Costco used to have their bagels but now they carry Bruegger’s Bagels.(Ewww.)(Just kidding, who doesn’t love bagels.) We went in because they offered me $ 1 off on a lox bagel, but somehow their machines weren’t working so we received a free coffee instead.(Score.) Vanilla hazelnut is bomb diggity. If you’re like me and like the smells of these things but not the taste, this coffee is for you! We decided to sit on the patio on this cozy 90 degree morning. It wasn’t too bad with the hot coffee and toasted bagels. The bagels definitely rival my favorite bagel place, Julie’s Café in Diamond Bar, but is definitely a close second for me, even with the current Unilocal rating. The bagels are not as large as the Costco ones, which is a welcome thing considering you’re eating a whole bagel(equal to four slices of bread). Everything was pretty standard about the bagel in terms of ingredients, nothing slimy or old tasting. Enjoyed it very much. Will be back! Restaurant can get kinda crowded so I would somewhat expect that you’ll have to sit outside in the morning if you don’t get there early. SHMEAR!

I go to this place way too often for it to be average, but sadly, that’s just how it is. Things that have and haven’t been said: — $ 3.79 for orange juice from concentrate. Odd. — Their berry smoothie is made with some weird milk substitute. — Bagels have corn syrup in them. All of them. — Coffee station consistently dirty. — Cream pitchers consistently empty. — Service consistently bad. Like, really bad. I suspect the manager has never run a food service establishment before, because this location is overstaffed and disorganized. Three stars is pretty generous. If you don’t like cream cheese, they have a honey butter spread and cinnamon butter spread that are divine. I enjoy their bagel dogs(not on the menu?), blueberry bagels, and cinnamon toast sandwich over any of the other fare in this shopping center.
